BREAKFAST in February!
Wanda H.

Interior of the restaurant is nicer than the exterior. Comfy seating and excellent service. We came to try the special February breakfast menu and enjoyed our visit. The Brisket and Gravy was our favorite of the items we tried. Very tasty! The cherry hand pie tasted bad though. Too greasy with almost a burnt flavor. So sad. But love the idea of switching up their whole menu!

Amount of meat delivered

I ordered 2 weeks in advance the Phasto package for 30 people.Pulled pork, brisket and paid an up charge for smashed burgers the pork was dry, brisket dry and smash burgers were stuck together in a small pan and were grossly over cooked. The pork and brisket tasted like it was leftover from the day before and reheated. Slaw was delicious , Mac n cheese dry(also an up charge ) potato salad ok Portions of meat were small. The charge was $845.50

Brisket and pork

Great food, great portions and a great price, some of the best food I had on my trip, the staff were great, I regret not buying a couple of bottles of sauce while I was there, I meant to go back on my way out of town, but alas my plans were foiled.

Pulled pork tacos - $14 of disappointment
Josh F.

In one word...disappointing. I ordered the pulled pork tacos. It was $14 for three tiny tacos. They were bad. It was a tiny soft shell with slaw, cheese and maybe 0.5 ounces of pulled pork per taco. Kids got a pulled pork sandwich. One kids sandwich came with about 3x the meat of all three of my tacos. To make it even worst, for $14 I didn't even get a side or a drink. That said, the sides were pathetic. No fries. The chips were just a cheap bag of regular chips. I will say, the ribs are good. My son got the kids ribs. I should have done the same. Inside looks a little out of date and run down. Last time we were here was probably 10+ years ago. I feel like it was much better back then. Definitely won't be back. Food isn't that great. And the value is awful.

Do NOT recommend this place. Food is terrible. It's not bbq or smoked food at all. Service was good but who cares if food is garbage. We ordered ribs and gumbo. Food came up in 5 minutes!!!!! Faster than milkshake. I will attach pictures so you can see that ribs had no bbq sauce on it and are burnt. It's was super hard to chew. Taste was like they used liquid smoke. I had to ask for bbq sauce so I got couple plastic containers. Gumbo was pretty much mix of shredded chicken and green enchiladas sauce. Terrible food. Manager offered to bring something different but I don't think that would help with how bad it all was. I spent 42$ and pretty much didn't eat anything

Here is the truck.

Thank you to the ladies with Super Smokers Food Truck (C&B Grub and Pub) The food truck was perfect for our son's medical school graduation party. The ladies were so nice and went above and beyond to make everyone happy. The food was delicious and abundant. we would rehire them in a heartbeat. Thank you for working with us!

Smokehouse Burger.

First time at this location. The inside is basically like a diner, nothing fancy. They were not busy at all, maybe two other tables in the whole restaurant at 5 o'clock The waitress was very good. The food was just mediocre. It was burger week and we ordered their special burger with the pulled pork on it The Smokehouse Burger. It was pretty disappointing. The burger was really dry and tasted like it was just a frozen patty. Nothing fresh about it. We did split an order of their crinkle cut fries. These were really good. Had a very good seasoning on it and there were quite a few fries in the order. Probably would not recommend this place for the burgers that the pulled pork tasted good.

Wildcat Dip
Mike W.

Well J must say...This place is a definite upgrade from their previous location. I would give them a perfect 5 stars, but I still feel like I am in a steak N Shake. lol. All of my food was very tasty and just what I would expect. The Mac n' cheese could use some yellow cheese in it, but it's still great. I also tried the Wildcat dip that hit the spot just perfectly. The service was great and shout-out to Isabelle who helped us because she steered us towards the apple pie beignets that were amazing!!! Overall it was definitely in my top 2 bar-B-Que places in STL. Right alongside Sugarfire!

Dirty Fries

New location. Great service and clean. I've used them for catering too and am very impressed. I was not a fan before but now I am. If you tried the old Eureka location and were disappointed please try again

The counter in the corner of the business, but there is nobody and you're not no way of anyone

So we ordered that, with half regular red sauce and half BBQ sauce. Like swirled together. It was excellent! We also got an order of (4) St. Louis style ribs. The ribs MELTED in our mouths. Of the many places to grab some lunch at we came here mostly because everyone in our group just wanted BBQ and some beer so JB's is what it came down to! My friend Anthony (Coaster Guy 101) ordered a pulled pork sandwich it came out on a pretzel bun with sidewinder fries it looked really good and he said it was really good so with both of us enjoying our lunch it was a great choice for us as well as the rest of our group! They also have Coke Freestyle machines here 3 of them to be precise so it was a nice change from the soda that can be found everywhere else in the park! JB's also accepts Dinning Pass for many of the items on their menu so definitely keep that in mind when searching for what's good in the park because you will definitely find some of that here! Overall it's BBQ inside the park and it's definitely worth a Dinning Pass credit because it's totally tasty in that Q kinda way so make your way here and you will enjoy what was good just like we did!

It's great for large families and groups, with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The bar at this location is also huge and always has plenty of games on for sports fans. The kitchen at the Ellisville location has it on lock, the food there is always perfect. My favorite appetizers include the Smoked Chicken Wings, Deviled Eggs, and Loaded Fries to start. For main dishes, we mostly get the Beastie Combo or Plates so we can have two sides. I recommend the ribs, lean brisket, pulled pork, and pulled chicken. The White Cheddar Mac and Cheese is by far the best thing on the whole menu -- more of a pasta masterpiece than a side dish. The food stays great for a few days, making mouthwatering leftovers that no one complains about! Unfortunately, the wait staff at this location need more training. Tables often sit uncleared, and drinks rarely get refilled. The servers also seem to struggle with the handheld ordering systems, which slow everything down. Overall, the food is as delicious as ever and remains the main reason I keep coming back. I just hope the service side catches up to the quality coming out of the kitchen.

Meeting my cousin and family for dinner (unplanned) 3. Salt + Smoke The area we sat in was empty but it was understandable based on a winter storm. I ordered the grilled cheese with a side of creamed corn. And had the Pimento Cheese Toasted Ravs, chicken skins and beef fat fries. Yes to all. lol. The toasted ravs were really good. It had a nice crisp and every bite was packed with tasty pimento cheese. The chicken skins were different than I'm used to as it has BBq spices and wow, it took it to another level. The grilled cheese was grilled to perfection with the perfect amount of crispness and butter. You can add meat to it and I'm sure it would have been great. The BBq plate my son ate was devoured. He said he wouldn't be able to finish it, but did. The service was so-so. As the server was refilling water for everyone, she skipped me. Then when I asked for a refill- she came back and gave it to the wrong person. Also, kind of shouldered my niece as she was pouring water for my cousin. Overall, food was really good. I'd come back for sure. Things happen for a reason and if it didn't snow, we wouldn't have gone here with my close cousin and his family.

I love an authentic Route 66 stop, and this is certainly one of those. From the road, it's difficult to tell how big the place actually is. Once inside, it opens up and really shares its character. We went on a Thursday evening, and it was packed, but not uncomfortable. There was plenty of room for everyone. Our server was friendly and efficient, and she seemed genuinely invested in customer experiences. Our food was outstanding, and there was plenty of it! We even had room for dessert: a chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. It was the size of a dinner plate! This was an outstanding indulgence, and I can't wait to have another one, as soon as my glycemic index allows. LOL The restrooms were pretty darn rough. Urine all over the floor, overflowing trash can, filthy toilet, etc., gave the impression that it hadn't been cleaned since the Route 66 days. Here, I am not focusing on that, since it's not what we came here for. Our overall experience was fantastic and memorable. We look forward to returning to this special historic establishment.

The Good: The Brisket burnt ends were very good with good flavor. The service was very good and the food was delivered very quickly. But that's the extent of the good.... The Bad: The "Pork Steak Burger" was a major disappointment. It was served with nothing on the bun. No Onion...No Pickle...No lettuce...Nothing. Dry ground meat on a cheap hamburger bun. The burger did not have the flavor or moistness of a pork steak. It is pork run through a meat grinder with no seasoning added. VERY Bland...and at $7 was overpriced. I was amazed that there were NO Pork Steaks on the menu...! That is a fatal flaw that will prevent us from ever returning. The slaw was flavorless with too much vinegar and large chunks of cabbage that should have been ground or cut into smaller pieces. It was closer to a cabbage salad with vinegar dressing than traditional "slaw". My wife could not eat more than 1/4th of her serving due to the taste. The sides were substantially more expensive than the local BBQ competition. Standard sides like potato salad/beans/ slaw were all $3 for an average serving. Sides at competitive BBQ in the area are $1.89-$1.99 for better tasting food. A slab of ribs with (2) sides was $24. A slab with (3) sides at the competition is $2 cheaper. The only water they offer is bottled water for $1 a bottle. The BBQ sauce is served in bottles that have no labels. You have no idea what you are getting. They need to install a fly trap. We had pesky fly's competing with us for our meal throughout dinner. If you want excellent BBQ...Including Pork Steaks...Caledonia BBQ, Bailey Jo's in Ironton and Dexter BBQ are ALL better BBQ and more reasonably priced. When the new Sugar Fire BBQ opens in Farmington I will be surprised if Big Dick's in Farmington is still open a year from now.
