A group of us stopped in on a Saturday evening for dinner. The place has a comfortable, relaxing vibe. We were seated right away, and our server Aurora took our drink orders quickly and answered any questions we had. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and our server stopped by multiple times to check on things. The cauliflower bites as an appetizer were really good. I ordered the fried chicken with sides of mashed potatoes and green beans. So good! It was a great comfort food dinner -- just what I was looking for. Hadn't been to Junie Moon for awhile. Still love the pepper pot soup. Same great flavor as before, some small dumplings, but there was also one really large dumpling that was not good...too gooey. Pretzel appetizer was a little disappointing, cheese sauce was good, pretzels tasted microwaved. Burger on French bread with a side of house made chips was delicious. Our server, Summer was awesome; super friendly and attentive. We love Junie Moon for dine in or carry out. Tonight carry out was a disappointment. Ordered 2 salads, one was the Yum Yum which has fried cauliflower. When I checked our order in the car, the Yum Yum salad had no fried cauliflower. I went back in & told the girls at the counter & the said they were out of fried cauliflower. Did not offer anything in exchange or to alter price. I told them they need to communicate what they are out of on the phone when taking the orders, it would have changed what we ordered. All the one girl said was she was not the one that took the order. Very disappointing!! With them having such limited hours now I would expect them to have better customer service. read more

This place is either a hit or miss, today i wanted country fried steak but they didnt have it so i ordered the catfish, which the breading was good but there was barely any catfish inside. I also ordered a side salad. Me and my party didnt get our food after an hour so we checked and they said sorry it was taking a while we just had a large party and other excuses. But they hadnt even started the order and none of our appetizers and salads were brought out or drinks refilled even after 2 parties about our size got all their food that came after us. So we finally got our food after about an hour and a half of waiting. Took forever almost left. Wont be going back anytime soon, this place needs some serious adjustments. Stopped in here for a quick bite as we were passing through Union. Wow!! What a great experience. Alicia, the waitress, was amazing. She was patient, quick, and very attentive. The food was VERY GOOD. We had the Egg Salad BLT (with a side salad) and the French Dip (with cucumber salad). Both were on point - no complaints whatsoever. A great diner, with efficient and friendly service and amazing food...YES PLEASE!!! We will more than likely drive out of our way to visit again. It was that great. waste of $21. i ordered the spinach wrap and the cucumber salad. the wrap would have been better without the chicken in it. after i took it out i still didnt care for it. i could not figure out where the juice was coming from. and the cucumbers were brown. very old. my husband ordered homemade chips and those were so bad i can not believe they even have them on the menu. definitely over cooked. but even if they were not overcooked they still would have been flavorless. all in all a complete waste of money. and wont be going back. read more

The soup had a creamy broth and two oversized dumplings with a nice, peppery kick. It was served with a generous portion of white baguette bread, which was great to dip into the soup. We eat here on an almost weekly basis. We have never gotten something that we didn't absolutely love. My favorite is the fried chicken special. We usually order take-out. If I did have one complaint, it would be that the size of to go containers for the sides are on the small side. You definitely get larger portions when you eat there.
