Food was fine; except the Eggs Benedict came with a bucket of hollandaise sauce, which also was a bit too thick. Service was my issue. He seemed to be having a bad day; waited a bit too long to come to table, when he made it over to take my order, didn't have a pen. By the time he came back, I knew what I wanted, which wasn't available so changed mind on the fly. But when it came, the seasoned home fries I ordered were just hash browns. By the time he checked on my meal, I had already made it 1/2 way through the meal. I was also watching him with other tables, and he seemed to be struggling with them as well. Surprising to find this great place along our route back and forth between MO and KY which we make several times a year. We have a few favorites but also try places along the way that are new to us. This is one we bookmarked to return to again. AN inventive menu and presentation, there's something for everyone and plenty to choose from. I had fish tacos which were fresh and light just like I like them. I don't want to feel bloated or stuffed while on a long road trip and this was a perfect meal to keep me going. Came for breakfast. The restaurant wasn't busy, about medium traffic. I ordered the chorizo omelette and it was not an appetizing look. Appeared like a scrambled egg patty smushed together. From other reviews, it seems a common complaint about their omelets. It was also dry and not very flavorful. The chorizo was isolated to one side of the egg patty and the cheese was isolated to another side. If you get hash-browns, order them extra crispy. Mine were soggy and raw. I even tried some of my son's pancake breakfast. It was presented well (far more appetizing than how the omelet appeared), but the taste was very plain, even with butter and syrup. My wife's scramble was also plain. My mother in law said her eggs Benedict was delicious. read more

Dropped in here for lunch. It's a small place, in the plaza where the Planet Sub used to be, with trendy decor. It has a great menu, lots of the norm breakfast and brunch favs such as Eggs Benedict, Breakfast burritos, Egg Sandwiches, French Toast but many of them with a Latino twist. The menu shows House Sausage, and a House sauce called Dahlia, along with Ham, Bacon, and Chorizo, Pork Chops and Steak as meat options. They Fresh squeeze Orange Juice, make their own whipped cream, have several Mimosa choices and 2 Bloody Mary mixes, 1 Super Spicy and 1 Zing Zang. We ordered The Breakfast Chimichanga with Chorizo and Avocado Toast. Both were yummy and of generous potions. So generous that a suggestion might be to offer half orders for slightly more than half price. The Avocado toast was 2 thick slices of a delicious wheat bread and 2 Eggs any style for 13.99. A half order could be $8. That's all I could eat was half. It came with an abundant layer of guacamole. The menu describes it as as served with Avocado, Queso Fresco and Pico but actually the Pico is not separate and when I asked for just some Pico, I received another order of the delicious guacamole. Que Será, that's just a preference as it is an amazing and fresh tasting guac. No fillers in this. Pure avocado and pico veggies. Service was great and friendly. One of my eggs was over cooked and they brought me 2 others within minutes with no argument or attitude. With the Breakfast Chimichanga, we ordered hash browns with the onions cooked in and they were - cooked into the potatoes. For some reason a lot of breakfast places won't do this anymore but they were served with a smile and in a timely fashion. Lunch Menu boasts of several amazing looking; sandwiches, burgers and salads. Many items in the menu were Gluten Free or had Gluten free options. Some vegetarian choices but not sure about Vegan. The Hours are typical Brunch, Breakfast and and lunch beginning at 6 A.M. but they close at 2 P.M. on Weekdays and 3 P.M. on Weekends. Bathrooms are very clean too. I think this restaurant is the best thing to hit Union in awhile. We will definitely go back. Price for 2 meals and the Bloody Mary was $34+tip. First, the service wasn't very good. We were seated and waited for our server to come up to our table. She never did. We had to go to a counter at the rear of the restaurant where three employees were talking and eating to find out if anyone was going to wait on us. Turns out our waitress was one of them. The girl who seated us never told her she sat us. I ordered the chorizo omelette. It looked really unappetizing. It looked like a blob of eggs overcooked. It had a burnt look on the top. I just came from having lunch. Worst meal I have had in a long time. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette with their seasoned home fries. When the plate was put down, it was unappetizing to look at. The omelet was so dry and over cooked, didn't even look like an omelet and the potatoes, I don't even know how to describe them, looked like mush. I guess the manager came over and offered to remake my order, but by this time I had lost my appetite. He still charge full price for this discussing meal. I usually give a second chance to a restaurant after a bad experience, but not this time I do want to mention that the waitress was very good. read more

Biscuits tasted homemade and buttery only problem with biscuit was it did leave a slight oily film in mouth. I would still order the biscuits because they were great. Orange juice is a must try. Only downfall to the restaurant which causes me not to go very often is how expensive they are. Definitely one of the highest priced breakfast places I ever been to. For 2 people we paid $70. Yes we got a decent about of food but for the items we got should have been more like $40 tops. Service was great, friendly staff. Kitchen was kinda slow. And the atmosphere was upbeat and pretty.
