Local resident. First time here. Grabbed an order to go. Purchased the Q Meat Sampler (pulled pork, rib bites, and substituted catfish for chicken), my sides were green beans, and potato salad. Only took about 10 minutes or so to make. Catfish was amazing. Pulled pork was amazing. Potato salad and green beans were amazing. Rib bites were tasty and the sauce was very good, just not much meat on the bone. Enough leftover for probably 2 more meals. Can't wait to go back and try other items on the big menu. read more

The food is excellent and they delivered to Innsbrook. We were on a girls getaway weekend at Innsbrook. The day we arrived it was raining and cold and we were tired and hungry. We went through the Yelp restaurants in the area and selected this one. The sell point was that they delivered. We ordered from them two days in a row. The food was excellent. The BBQ chicken was moist and fish on Friday was delicious. The sides and cobbler were worth ordering again. Over the two days, we didn't get anything we disliked. read more

Not a fan, ribs tough, no smoky flavor as most BBQ should have, sauce just very strong on tomato flavor but not a lot else. Never thought I would dislike a mayonnaise based coleslaw but I think that the only thing on the coleslaw was thick mayonnaise with no other flavor. Brisket sandwich was chewy and very messy, dry not tender and moist. We did not get the feeling that any of the food had been prepared on the day we ate there, had probably been done a day or more before we came. Balls may be waaaaay out in Wright City and have some odd hours (Thursday-Saturday), but YUM!! A pulled pork sandwich weights about 3 pounds. With the potato salad it becomes TWO meals in one package, the rib tips - too much to eat (in one seating). The food is great and the folks operating the place are very nice. Pork steak was melt in your mouth good; nice and tender without being mush like at some places; served with a tasty sauce and a slice of white bread with two sides for only $10. I had the baked beans and the potato salad, which was probably the best potato salad I've ever had in my life. Drinks are Vess in cans; but they bring you a mug of ice to put it on. Owner is super friendly; this place is nothing fancy ambiance wise; its just a good family run hole in the wall BBQ joint. If you are coming from St Charles County; its worth the drive; only place in the area that is close is 'Lil Mickey's; I think I like their sauce a bit better, but Ball's meat has a better smoke flavor and consistency. Why did I wait so long to ask where a good BBQ place was. There is always a BBQ stand at the four way in Wright City almost every weekend. Do yourself a favor and donate to the cause they are supporting and tell them keep the money I don't want your food. Look on the southwest corner and tucked in the back of the small strip is Balls Q Shack. Go over and buy whatever you want on their menu you wont be disappointed. read more

This place is just amazing!!!! It's small, off the highway, nothing fancy and an absolute MUST if you are nearby! We found them on Yelp and every single review was good so we had to try it. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my bf had the rib meal- sauce was great, meat was smoked to perfection and the Cole slaw was wonderful! Ribs were very saucy and my bf isn't a huge fan of lots of sauce so just ask for light if you're the same. So glad we stopped. The owners are amazing! read more

Flew in from Philly, yelped places to eat and this popped up. We got there and they were closed (it was valentines day) Travis stayed open for us and served some great BBQ. The pulled pork was a hefty serving and delicious. Very sweet. Their potato salad is very good as well. Good BBQ food, Cheap prices, Friendly service from the Ball family, Drinks served in large Ball jars. It isn't fancy, but its a family run gem. The only con is that there seemed to be a significant amount of sugar in everything... sweet tea, pulled pork, cornbread, BBQ sauce. If that's what you like then fine, but we were on a sugar high the rest of the night. Overall, very satisfied! read more

Fantastic smoky, slightly sweet brisket and (on Friday) fried fish. Loved the food, the staff and the proprietor. It was so good that we ordered a pound of brisket to go and ate in our hotel room that night. Wow! Asked the owner about how he got into the business. He said his grandma's recipe was so popular at family events that he decided to open a restaurant. If you love beef brisket, GO!
