I must say that the prices are more than reasonable for the amount of food you get. I tried the pulled pork and pulled chicken, both tender and flavorful. The sides deserve their own spotlight--potato salad is my personal favorite, the baked beans and coleslaw hit all the right notes. My brother ordered the burnt ends. Those were another highlight--smoky, rich, and perfectly cooked. They were sold out of brisket when we visited (which says a lot about how good it must be), but that just gives us a reason to come back soon. My family has been going here for 4 years and I have to say the last two times were disappointing. They went up on the beef brisket nachos and charge me for a large but gave me a half because they ran out. This time I went in and was charge for a large but was given half order. When I told the manger he said we were given out full order but should have reduced the order. We fill it was again because they had a crowd and was running out. They charge full price but yet give you have your order when they are packed and running out. Not good quality or customer service. This was some good BBQ! My husband and I came in on a Saturday for lunch and they were busy but it was still quick. When you walk in you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. I got a 2 meat plate with ribs and pulled pork. My husband got 3 meat plate with sausage, pulled pork and burnt ends. All the meat was so good and there wasn't a ton of fat with the pulled pork. They have 4 sauces you can pick from and I really enjoyed the smoked Apple! We got some boxes for our food to take home and they gave us some containers with sauces which I really liked. The brisket almost melted in your mouth, I have never had brisket this tender before. Pulled pork was super tender as well. Sides were a nice portion. Came here after work with some friends. I had never heard of heavy smoke, since I don't live in the area, so this came from a recommendation. The place is a no frills kind of place, focused on their bbq. The seating area is huge and there are tons of trophies, ribbons, and other awards that lined the wall. I do wish the seating area was a little more well lit though. Being my first time here, I got the two meat plate with brisket, ribs, potato casserole, and tater tots. Brisket - I'm a fan of fatty brisket, so just a heads up, this is leaner brisket, which I usually find dry, but this wasn't dry at all. I was pleasantly surprised. Ribs - This was the star of the meal for me. Fall of the bone, a bit of fat, smoked perfectly. I just wished I had more than 2 ribs. Potato casserole - I thought this was tasty, but I probably wouldn't get it again. I think it's a texture thing for me. Tater tots - These were really good. Fried so they were nice and crispy and seasoned well. There are also lots of different bbq sauces to try. I tried a few, but I'm not a huge fan of putting sauces on bbq. We went to order... they were out of burnt tips so we both ended up choosing brisket. I also had a canned beer. What I don't understand and sort of bothers be these days is the tip screen right away. We have had no service short of ordering. What size of tip do you offer? We sat down and shorty our order came out. We had to go get our own water, silverware (plasticware wrapped in plastic), and napkins. Still unsure what the tip was for. We got all 3 sauces, had to get up and get them ourselves, and decided to do a blind taste test. Neither my wife nor I could really tell any of them apart - and one was supposedly Jalapeno! The brisket was dry and the tots were heat lamp warm - not fresh. I finished mine and she took 1/2 of her brisket home. We had to go get our own styrofoam container. So much plastic waste here.
