Mind Blown! I seriously did not expect the service or the quality of food when I entered, Hobos. I am confident, that once I come back and enjoy their fried chicken, I will be bumping them up to 5 Stars. My BFF and I went shopping at the Dillard's Clearance Center in the Mid-Rivers Mall and needed lunch. We did a Yelp search and picked another restaurant down the street. Once we parked and started walking, we changed our minds and strolled down Main Street to Hobos. When we walked in and saw how packed it was, we knew we made the right decision. It was so full, that we had to be seated at a communal table at one end and another couple was seated at the other end. We were promptly greeted by our server and she took our drink orders. When she came back we let her know that we were newbies and this was our first visit. She took time, explained the menu, told us customer favorites and her own personal favorites. My BFF knew what she wanted, since she is doing low-carb dieting. She ordered, a Chef Salad with Bleu Cheese Dressing. She loved it. The dressing was super thick and the presentation of the salad was picture perfect. I was torn in many directions, but opted for the Cajun Chicken Salad. On the recommendation of my server, I went with the Smoked Chicken and I am glad I did. The chicken was full of smokey flavor and the Southwest Ranch Dressing was another perfect choice. In addition to the salad, I enjoyed a side of Jalapeño Hush Puppies. I wish all hush puppies were this good. The table next to us got the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. I had to bite my tongue, I was tempted to ask them if I could take pictures of their plates. It looked so good, I will be making another road trip to St. Peters very soon.

Well known spot to the locates and for a good reason. We got pizza that's one size fits all. Chicken wrap with fries and fish nuggets with two sides. Known for fried food. Super sweat service girl both on phone n in person. Never been inside this spot super fun with TVs and bar. Will return for more !

    - Food was extraordinarily delicious, reminded me of home cooked goodness. They didn't ask me how I wanted my burger cooked but it came out juicy anyways thankfully. The chipotle mayo was addicting and the fries were so nice and crunchy. The food overall was perfect 10/10. ‍- Service for how busy it had been was really quick, we got a table almost immediately despite there being a line to get in. However I will note that the sign in sheet thing was a little confusing we weren't sure if the line was to sign the sheet or to be seated. Our server did her job, nothing above and beyond but good enough. - I love the decor selection and cleanliness of the place over however our cup rims looked as if they had been through WWI. Also the prices are extremely low which is surprising because my meal would've been worth like $18 at any other bar and grill.

I've never had a bad meal here. The servers and bartenders are so friendly and nice. Got 3 meals. 2 fried chicken meals with twice baked potato casserole. The chicken was excellent and we both love the casserole. The third meal was new to both of us. Got a Junkyard John sandwich and it was a treat. This place is consistently friendly and the food is amazing.

Stopped in for a quick bite after attending some holiday vendor shows on a Thursday night. We did not have to wait for a table, but Hobo's was hopping this evening. While they were out of the special(smoked meatloaf which I hear is delicious), I order the pork steak dinner with twice baked potatoes and macaroni salad (carb overload)! It was wonderful! This pork steak was so tender could cut with my fork and had a great smoked flavor and very large! The twice baked potatoes were so full of flavor and so creamy and the macaroni salad was also top notch! This meal was so affordable and was actually enough for two meals! Large portions and great food and service. Many people were there watching the sports that were on the TVs. It had been a long time since I had been to Hobos and can say it is still amazing! Why did I wait so long to go back??0

Has Hobo's at the Legion brought back krinkle cut fries yet?

No. They were lukewarm and soggy yesterday.

I work remotely, so I decided to find a place with wifi that I can finish my work week while relaxing (Chillaxing) a bit. I came here on Friday mid-afternoon and was not disappointed in the least. The bartender (owner?) was friendly and helpful. The in-house Vails Brothers provided AMAZING wings. The Happy Hour was a cherry on top. This place is big with plenty of seating options. Large garage doors are opened up when it's nice, and it provided a lovely open air experience--and plenty of outdoor seating if you don't want a roof. Someone had a dog, so I imagine they are dog-friendly (outside). This was terrific, and I'm glad this is in my neighborhood. Thanks, Chillax!

We…read morearrived shortly after opening around 1pm, so the place was completely empty when we walked in. Someone behind the bar yelled out and greeted us, but there really wasn't any direction on whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated. There were no signs and no one explained the process, so it felt a little awkward trying to figure things out at first. My husband asked who we order with, and we were pointed toward a kiosk ordering system. The kiosk itself was actually pretty easy to use, but My Husband preferred ordering with a real person instead. We walked over to a young man sitting nearby and asked if we could place our order with him, which thankfully we were able to do. By the time we returned to our table, there was already a water pitcher with cups and straws waiting for us, which was appreciated. The food came out in a decent amount of time, but honestly, the food and service were both pretty mediocre overall. Since the restaurant was so empty, it was hard to really pick up on the vibe or atmosphere of the place. One thing I will say is that I believe the owner or manager handled a situation politely and professionally. We had drinks from another establishment that we brought in with us, and she kindly let us know outside drinks were not allowed and asked us to dispose of them. My husband took care of it immediately, and we continued our meal with no issue. As far as the food, my husband and son both ordered lemon pepper wings and felt the seasoning was way too heavy, especially since lemon pepper is typically salty...They both mentioned the chicken was extremely salty. I had the catfish fillet with a side of okra. The catfish was okay, but nothing memorable and definitely could've been better. Overall, the entire experience just felt very mid from start to finish. Customer service always sets the tone for a restaurant experience, and unfortunately I don't think this place fully hit the mark for us. At this time, I'm not sure we would return, but everyone's experience can be different, so check it out for yourself and form your own opinion.

There were a ton of TVs which was great since there was playoff football on so it was nice to watch the game while dining. Service was quick and attentive the whole night! We all got appetizers: Toasted Ravs: seemed store bought and not from scratch, but they were cooked well and tasted above average. Crab Rangoon Dip: the dip tasted all right but was not heated all the way through and the chips were not good IMO or stale??? This whole dish was a fail. Shamrock Pretzels: were the best by far, pretzels were soft and warm and went well with the beer cheese, but the cheese was not super warm so it cooled off quick. The main meals were average and none of them were something to write home about: Headliner Burger: a little plain tasting, not enough sauce and the burger was just not seasoned and was just boring. The Sham-Bowl: the dish as a whole looked great but ended up being dry and mundane; lacking taste. This dish was begging for gravy or seasoning to give it some life. The Chicken Finger Plate: fries were hot, but the chicken was a heavy batter and clouded the taste and aroma of the dish. Sorry to say, we just did not have anything great except for the pretzels being our favorite dish.
