Great service from Delonte and delicious food! Will come back again the next time that I'm in Navy Yard.

My husband and I live in the neighborhood, and we've been here collectively about a dozen times. During our last visit with family from out of town, we had the pleasure of meeting Gabriella W. She was the warmest, most professional server we've come across at Silver Diner. She repeated everyone's specific orders to make sure she got them right, and she made sure to check on us throughout dinner, always with a smile. It was readily apparent that she cares about doing a good job and making guests' experience enjoyable, which we appreciated. I hope her work ethic is celebrated and rewarded. read more

Had a great time, great view, drinks and service good and ambiance as expected. Parking can be a challenge but not relevant.

I am so excited that this place has opened! I live in navy yard and have been eagerly waiting. The drinks are strong and the menus is diverse. There is something for everyone here. They close at 3am. When my friends and I came at 11pm for dinner and drinks the manager came and greeted us. I really appreciate him doing that. The food came out fast and the portions were good. The staff were very polite and knowledgeable. There upstairs bar has not opened yet but the manager assured us that when it opens on 10/26 it will be THE SPOT for late night food and drinks with a hint of grown and classy. I came in for the cocktail drink Grandma's Strawberry Lemonade! It was great but I really wanted to point out that I sat back and watch the waitress Brie who was so amazing with her customers! She was not my waitress but if you decide to visit here you have to ask to be seated in her section! She made my night watching her! Friendly- knowledgeable on menu and no matter what she suggested the customer ordered even if there was little up-charge! read more

Comfortable place for breakfast down the street from Nationals stadium. Service was great and coffee was included in the meal price!

When i first walked in the staff immediately helped us and got us seated. Our server Dylan has very great customer service and made sure we got everything we needed. No matter what you order here, the food tastes immaculate. They're always reassuring you and making sure everything is to your liking. I absolutely love this restaurant, however, it pains me to give them one star. As I mentioned before I do like the restaurant and the food is normally phenomenal. I went there for lunch and my entrée was good as always. I ordered pecan pie for dessert but I got full so I asked the waitress if I could get my pie to go, she said absolutely. The customer service was phenomenal. My entrée was phenomenal. Unfortunately my dessert was put in a to go container that had onions in it previously but of course I didn't know that until I attempted to eat pecan pie later that night. I opened up the it's not like onions, but I didn't think anything of it until I tasted the pie and it tasted just like onions. I'm hoping that this was a one time incident because this is my go to restaurant. The purpose of me writing a review is a warning to tell you to check your to go items. Really good and fair prices. I ordered the chipotle salmon and it was more than enough food for one. The shrimp and salmon were good - a little light on the chipotle seasoning for my preference. The real star, in my opinion, was the leek, corn, and tomato succotash - delicious! read more

We stumbled upon this little gem and we we not disappointed. I had the turkey club and my husband had a burger with mushrooms and bacon. The cocktails were also amazing and refreshing. After an afternoon at the Nats game, this was a great ending to our evening. We needed a filling meal before hitting the road and Silver Diner didn't disappoint. They had something for everyone in our party. We were quickly seated outside. It was a gorgeous night so there were no complaints about that. Our waiter was attentive, but not overbearing with checking on us. They gave me good, honest feedback about the options they liked. I ended up going with the Chipotle Salmon & Shrimp. Again, not a meal I would have chosen from a diner had it not been recommended. I was shocked at how tasty the meal was. I ate every last bite. The flavors mixed together so well. It had just the right amount of kick to it, too. The lemon butter sat and soaked into the potatoes. Delectable. I couldn't end the evening without dessert, so I ordered a s'mores milkshake. There was enough for two. It was so filling, and nicely decorated! If I'm down in Navy Yard and need to grab a meal I fully expect to return. read more

Food is pretty good, if you like raw tomatoes with your meatloaf. Took 17 minutes to get a glass of water and another few minutes to have my dinner deposited in front of me. I had to wait for silverware (none on the table) after that. And I got carded despite being very obviously over 21. To the waiter's credit, he accepted an alternate form of identification. No clue why this place is popular. The food is pretty good but the service is non-existent. read more

This place is delicious diner food. I've tried many different things and enjoyed most of them: chicken fried steak, pancakes, breakfast plate, Reuben, BLT, biscuits. The only dish I wouldn't get again is the Philly Cheesesteak -- it was just okay. The service is good. The wait staff is always friendly. 5 stars! My husband and toddler went to this location last Sunday. Usually we go to the one in Woodmore since its close but we wanted to try something different. We had the sweetest server who was from Nepal. He was very clear with ensuring everything we wanted to order was ordered. Then I was impressed by the quick service and I loved that the manager went around to every table to ensure we were good. Oh and they have an espresso machine! The coffee lover in me was so happy as other locations just has drip coffee. When leaving, the manager saw us outside and thanked us again. We chatted for a few minutes and his care for ensuring we were happy was so nice! I will definitely return thanks to our amazing server and the manager. read more
