Great Korean restaurant here with good food and prices! the bibimbap is great but I am unable to compare it as I've only had it here twice now. I do enjoy all the little dishes that come with your entree's to sample different Korean apettizers. I agree with one review that weekend does not have lunch menu so going in alone is a bit much when you have to order a full dinner size entree for yourself. But, there are worse things than leftovers! The staff could be a bit more on the helpful side with ordering and answering questions for us that are not fully knowledgable of Korean cuisine. read more

I read a lot of the comments and most is focused on service. For those of you not familiar with Korean service....don't go to a Korean restaurant if you are looking to be served like the Ritz. The service at Silla is fine and better than most K restaurants. Get over it, it is the food Korean's care about the the food at Silla is great. They may have the best Galbi in Denver. The panchan is good and served in the proper abundance. They have the best cold noodles I can find in the front range and their lunch special is the best value for meat in town. If you are look for Korean BBQ and noodles, this is the place. read more

Let me preface that we have been to Silla many times prior, but I need to express our disappointment in the service we encountered last Sunday evening. Silla is typically a great Korean restaurant; great ambiance, service and exceptional Korean food. We quickly realized as we entered the restaurant that it was very busy, probably unusually busy for a Sunday evening. Every table was booked and the host/waitstaff were flying all over the restaurant trying to manage the chaos. Seating took a while and we quickly realized we were being ignored by the entire wait staff. Menu's were not presented to us until about 15 minutes after we were seated. We wouldn't have had an issue if the staff informed there would be a 20-30 minute wait so that they can manage all the busy tables rather than trying to sit every single person that came through the door. Rather than that, we were rushed the entire time. Once we got our menus, we were pressured to make decisions on our dinner choices. The young waiter tried to snatch our menu's away and we were not finished ordering. All of us could tell he was very stressed and agitated. I even made a point to ask him if he was feeling okay. We remained patient despite all of this up until waiting for an additional 40 minutes with no response from the wait staff. Every time we pushed the "waiter button" at our table, we realized table 2 was ignored on the screen and even deleted. It's a shame that a restaurant we have come to love over the years provided unprofessional and dismal service. It may have been a bad day for them, and we hope that they can work that out with hiring more staff or even managing the tables. We left after waiting for 45 minutes with no food and drinks. We anticipate coming back in the very near future, your kimchi ji gaes and bibimbaps are delicious. read more

Trust me on this favorite Asian cuisine-- I am indeed Korean. Although many people might argue that fact. I'm more "American" than Korean, but 1) I grew up with home cooked Korean food and 2) I've tasted the finest Korean food in the one and only City of Angels. To first put things into perspective, on a scale of 1-10 (1 being scarce), the Denver/outskirts area is a 3 on the abundance of available Korean food/restaurants. With that said, one can only compare within that caliber. I'm also a little biased when it comes to service because my friend's friend works here and she's a doll. But, first thing's first. I came here twice for the same thing: nengmyun noodles. They try to imitate LA's nengmyun and it's pretty accurate. Not too sweet. If you come for lunch, the special is nengmyun and kalbi or dumplings (less than $10). I got kalbi (duh) and it was delish. It's a great Korean combination, those two. At the end of your meal, they always serve the rice drink (sheekkae) which is made to PERFECTION. I love it and ends the meal right. Can't say much about their other menu items but if it's summertime and you want something cold, come here for nengmyun and kalbi :) *warning: I finished everything (except for the soup) and I literally was in so much pain because I was so full. SO. FULL. Becareful. read more

One of my favorite Korean restaurants I've found here in Denver! The food and decor remind me of places I got to eat at while in South Korea. The broths for the soup bases are the best! read more

This is likely the best Korean restaurant in the Denver area. If you come here, you have to order the BBQ items like kalbi, bulgogi, etc and then grill that shit yourself on their little round grills. Sure you'll end up smelling like bbq meats, but seriously, just picture what will happen when you go brag to your friends or try to impress some girl about your meal at Silla: Dude: I had Korean last night at this place called Silla. Man, I had these banchans and kalo-bees and stuff. It was out of this world. Dudette: I haven't had Korean that often, so I don't know much about it. But I know you can BBQ your meats at the table, so it must've been a blast. How was the grilling? Did your hand get tired? (ha-ha) Choice A: Dude: Nah, I didn't use the grill... (wrong answer!!!) Choice B: Dude: Yeah, the grilling was tougher than it looked... (stop it!!!! you'll be exposed because you're lying!) Don't let either Choice A or Choice B happen to you. Just grill it your own damn self. Please. read more

A dissapointing experience. The place is a bit pricey but for high quality korean food this would have been worth it, however it just wasn't that great. The food tasted good, not great, but not bad either, I have had worse. We had Tonkatsu and Galbi Dang and it was just ok. The service was non existent. Their were about 8 banchan and they were tiny, ok tasting. We ate them all and were never offered refills. Our water went empty and never got refilled. I had to grab one of the workers attention (who was cleaning the floor) to ask for more kimchee, a few more pieces came out. A tasty rice drink at the end put me up to 2 stars, but without that I might have given 1 star. FYI I am white american and so was my company so perhaps that influenced the service we were given, although I have no direct evidence to support that suspicion. read more

I been going to this restaurant for long time but after the new management the service sucks. The new owner is rude and the servers are rude. They were talking to us like they didn't want our business. We order seafood tofu and they brought vegetable tofu and when we told them we got the wrong order. They said that's what you order. So when we finally convince the server this isn't what we order. They made us new one but it was the same one with seafood dump Inside. I don't know about everyone else but when I go out to eat. I want to eat some good food so I could be happy not get stress out. read more

Workers were rude and portions were small. Attitude was given, and they do not deserve the tip.

I am from NYC here on business and have been here 3 times and still the same. The food here is good but can't compare to NYC. The service is by far the worst and the management don't care or just oblivious. The decor is something to said, time warp back to the 80's with tall booths that the staff can't even see you. The service is terrible, even though I'm Korean! You don't get any preferential treatment. Waited a long time to get check. Had to hail bus boy to get attention from staff. The staff was all sitting in a booth eating, snacking or something. Tables with dishes from previous customers still waiting to be cleared just sitting. If you do go be prepared to wait or you just have to yell for service. Would have given more stars if the service was better. read more

sills who else got sick after eatting here. May 20th 17 my fiancee took me here for my birthday. We have been coming here over a year the first time i had the soon soup and found it was like eatting a dorito. On saturday the fried wontons where the best but the soup was watered down no flavor the worst. My fiancee ate all of his but i took two bites and said no. We did try to tell the little girl and she did try to tell the host but he blown us off. Next day i made a mess in my underwear and worst happened to my fiancee. read more

I ate here 9/1/13 and here is my experience. My dining partner and I decided Korean would be the best meal to satiate us after our rafting trip. The food was good and did hit the spot, however the price and service left a lot to be desired. When we arrived, we had to wait to be seated for about 7-10 minutes, no biggie. Once seated, we were told that we had to move to accommodate a party of 4 since the booth was bigger; FYI, just about all the booths in this establishment are the same size! We move to the different table and what do you know, the booth is the same size as the one we were seated initially. My take, the server did not want to serve us because WE were the most diverse customers in there aside from the dominant Korean clientele in there. We, or shall I say my dining partner was checked on during our dinner only once. No refill on water and we weren't even asked about a drink order from the start. $27.95 for galbi aka kalbi, $18.95 for bulgogi....ridiculous! We weren't even offered the complimentary tea,we saw others get, after their meal. Bottom line, if you don't go with a Korean associate or are not Korean yourself don't expect service with a smile or any service at all! read more

Went there with my family for my birthday. The food was not bad. We ordered BBQ ribeye and duck and they tasted good. But what really disappointed us was the service. Only 3 people waiting tables on Friday night. Food was late and we waited a long time to get extra napkin and chopsticks. There was a chubby waitress who was very rude. Took away my sister's chair without asking! read more

I haven't had much Korean BBQ in my life but the food and service at this place was super! We ordered a combo ($70-ish) for 4 people and left absolutely stuffed full of bulgogi goodness. Marinades on the meats were outstanding. We all took home leftovers as well. Plus I think it's kind of fun and entertaining that you get to cook the food yourself on the grill on the middle of the table -- keeps the men occupied that's for sure. I tried many many different sides of pickled items and enjoyed it all. All said and done, a wonderful meal. Downing a bottle of soju is a must! (not by yourself of course). read more

I honestly think that this is the worst place to eat. we had a group of 14 people and when some of us came in, we tried to have conversations with the server and he didnt even answer us and left the room. idk if you can speak english or not. our waters were never refilled. we had to keep on asking for water refills. the food is just whatever. nothing special about it. the worst part is when we were about to pay. they dont know how to count at all. and when we already tipped them, they asked for more tip because they thought it wasnt enough for them. are you freaking serious???? if you guys want people to tip you the way you guys wanted, you shouldve charge us the tip already in the bill. these people are so freaking stupid. i will never come back here again. read more

Great sides, perfect for groups of 3-6 people!

The best cold noodles (nengmyun). their service is very fast and friendly. only reason that it's 4/5 stars is that they don't offer their amazing lunch special's on the weekend :( other than that, side dishes and main dishes are very very good read more

Food was terrible and overpriced, the waitress then had the audacity to approach me outside of the restaurant parking lot and ask why I only left a 1 dollar tip. Nuff said read more

The wait is bearable...however! Their service needs work! We were only checked on once! The food was meh~ naeng-myun was good but we also ordered ton-katsu and that dish came out burnt and covered with sauce. Once we finished we went up to the counter to pay for the bill the server just sat there counting her tips in front of us, she sat there counting her cash for 5 min. This place is trashed with horrible wait staff! read more

This is my favorite Korean restaurant in the greater Denver area. I think they have the most authentic Korean dishes, compared to other more popular Korean restaurants. They definitely have the best kimchi Jigae (stew) and the best kimchi jun (Korean pizza). read more

They dont know how to count the prices. I just ate there and we were arguing about the tip money. They think we didn't even give enough tip. It's just really really bad. Will never go to this place ever again. read more

The food here is ok. Not the greatest. They have good lunch specials that's one good thing. The only problem i have here is the lack of servers. Honestly they need to train their servers with better attitudes. I come to eat happy and i leave here all pissed off because they usually don't know how to serve. Probably the rudest servers i've ever come across. Not as bad as Korea House but they coming in 2nd very close. read more

The customer base was mostly all Korean when I went; that's a ding-ding-ding in my book. I don't know how good the Denver area is for Korean food, but by NYC standards, it is pretty darn good. Lots of banchan came before we got our soondubu, fried mackerel, and naengmyun. Apparently the BBQ is good too. read more

The food is really yummy and the prices are pretty good too. I've been here three times and the first two times were great, but the third, not so much. The last time I went the service wasn't that good and neither was the food. I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 3 because I had a really good experience the first two times. read more

WORSE PLACE EVER, Meat and seafood in all dishes smelled to the point UNEATABLE, can't believe they serve nasty old meat to customers, WORSE KOREAN food I ever had. Waitress apologized and gave me $1 discount on my meat dish I could not eat due to old meat smell. The nasty way they cook their food reflect s on their nasty we don't care service ! Just eat the food and pay , we don't care if our meat smells, others shut up and eat ... This place should not serve food, public health concern serving old meat & seafood, You got to have pretty strong stomach to take their nasty food, YUCK ! I should've known better when I saw their empty parking lot on the weekend, I was their only customer on Sunday night... Terrible, horrible, disgusting Food I ever put in my mouth ! read more

I've een jonesing for Korean in a bad way and my friend B decided on Silla. 6 hours later and I'm still stuffed and content. Th bulgogi was good [I have had better] and the japche was greasy but fulfilled my cravings. Service was helpful in the beginning but it tapered off. I guess they take their lunch breaks late afternoon. All in all, a good find if you're craving kim chi and bulgogi. read more

Silla is my favortie Korean BBQ in Denver. I have been coming here since I was a little kid, living in Gillette, WY. Every time we visited Denver we would go shopping at the Korean grocery and then eat here. They food is consistantly wonderful and you get a ton for what you pay. Nang Myun and Moo oo guk always come free with an order of Gal-Bi, all you have to do is ask. I live in Denver now but when my parents visit and we eat here they always bring my mom a steamed egg for free. The lunch service is a little erratic but dinner service is good. If you have always wanted to try Korean, don't wait. Go here and have the Gal-Bi. You won't be sorry. read more

I give 10 fingers up for this Korean restaurant ! Their food is so flavourful & delicious ! If you're not sure, go there for lunch special " cheap " and if you don't like it, you wouldn't feel guilty about spending money on it. If you like spicy, Korean food, you will be hooked ! Authentic, full of flavours.. huge portion ... ( lunch portion is smaller than dinner... of course ) read more

Awesome food. Came here with a group and we got the private room off to the side. We loved everything, my only suggesting would be to have them cook the meat instead of opting to do yourself. Spent too much time cooking and not enough time eating! I was nervous when I saw the outside, but this is a great place read more

Friends and I came to Silla for Korean bbq. There are big booths and tables that can comfortably fit parties of 4-6. We tried sirloin, marinated pork and marinated duck, and each meat was flavorful and tender. The portions are large. Our waitress was attentive and helpful, and the rice drink at the end of the meal was tasty. I'd like to go back to sample more of the menu. read more

I met up with my hunny and a friend here at 11am and I have to say that that's the earliest I have ever eaten Korean BBQ, but it was yummy! =) We were the only ones in the restaurant and we tried the bulgolgi and the kalbi as well as the Kimchi jigae soup. The short ribs and beef are always my favorite and it had been years since I had been to Silla, but they perfected the marinade this time for us. We cooked the meat ourselves and the waitresses were kind enough to change the grills. The sides were also fresh and delicious. The service was great too but when you're the only people in the entire restaurant at 11am, service should run pretty quickly. If you're in Aurora and craving for some Korean BBQ, give this place a shot. It's not too easy to locate, but it's near a 7-eleven in a small shopping center. read more

me and my boyfriend are very "go with the flow" kind of people. we never actually sat down and planned where we would go a couple days from now. everything we do is very last minute, we decide everything within a 5 minute span & just go with it. however, silla is the only place we PLAN for. we manage to try to go to silla every tuseday together because this place is so unbelievable. we get their pork bbq which comes with approximately 10ish sides such as kimchi, radish, and a bunch of other things. we also get their spicy seafood soup which has soft tofu, shrimp, oysters, clams, and anything else you can think of. this place is a 100/5, please go here. the soju with the food is a must have as well. read more
