Came in during lunch for two people and only a few people dining in. Was seated quickly! Service was good. The staff all helps each other out. Ordered both the hotpot + $5 extra per person for the Korean bbq and skewers. Ordered some meats for both hot pot and bbq and then headed up to grab everything else from the self service bar. Condiment bar had everything. Food was very okay, bbq meat was really sweet and not my preference. Hot pot was just okay, nothing special for AYCE. Skewers were unexpectedly sweet... don't know if I'll be back

Hot pot excellent customer service . I recommend this to anybody but be careful. There's a lot of food .

I'm not typically a big fan of hot pot but they have curated such a fantastic menu that it has quickly led to Orion's becoming one of my favorite restaurants. I recommend doing both the hot pot and bbq for the full experience. The salad bar is always stocked with fresh produce and etc.

The strawberry and lychee drinks are so bomb!

Everything was amazing! The service is spectacular and the food is out of this world! I can't wait to come back.

We did order the "Chinese" version because they add cumin.

KBBQ ONLY: Unfortunately I was disappointed with the options…read moreof side dishes that are typically found in traditional Korean Barbeque. This place may have good selections for meat but in all honesty the authenticity of what korean bbq tastes and feels like has been stripped away. The flavor is not all there even when I try to use their side dishes like the kimchi and cucumber kimchi. CUCUMBER KIMCHI: This feels like a story excuse for cucumber kimchi. The sauce is just absolutely slobered and over takes any part of the cucumber. It's like a thick sludge rather than tasteful cucumber kimchi. Would you like some cucumber with your thick kimchi sludge? KIMCHI: They don't even have this out at the sides area, you have to ask for this. The problem with this is that the MOST Korean side dish is not readily available at the side dish pick up area. The other main problem is that it tastes sweet? There's is no acidic flavor to the kimchi, it's just all wrong and horrible. THE MEAT: Okay the meat selection is good but unfortunately the thicker sangyupsal is a little too thin. I think there's already a thin sangyupsal option on the menu so I'm not sure why we're getting another thin option. Gotta say though, this is the only place that has the intercostal rib meat which is baller. Overall this place is just not giving authentic. This might do if you're not familiar with traditional Korean bbq and have no expectations or a bar for Korean food, but from someone who grew up like that, this is just lack luster and overall a slap in the face. Im sorry guys but the only reason why this gets a 2 star and not 1 is because the meat selection is good, but Korean bbq is more than just meat, its an experience of diverse flavors where this place just doesn't do that.

It doesn't matter that we have summer weather for Christmas, Aki is where we go. Reliable cuts of meat with the exotic pieces always available. Its a healthy indulgement I will always love. They'll never leave you with a half empty glass of water or an empty plate. That's just how good the service is. Always clean, despite the messy nature of hotpot. I always get the spicy broth and my sister the clear pork broth and we mix our bowls together. The waitress said that we can just request for them to do that for is before they bring us the pots! I love this place so much.

Tonight we opted for spicy broth and beef and pork belly. The broth was flavorful, very earthy and not very spicy, (to me), which was nice, but I do prefer the more traditional bone broth. You can get an ice cream cup as an included dessert and on NYE they gave us chopsticks in a carrying pouch, lovely touch! Give this a try and walk it off by exploring GW next door.

That's a pretty strong endorsement. Also the interior of the restaurant was fairly modern and clean. For anyone unfamiliar with it, soondae (순대) is a traditional Korean blood sausage made by stuffing pork or beef intestines with a mixture of blood, glass noodles, rice or starch, and seasonings. It's one of Korea's most popular street foods and is typically enjoyed with salt or a dipping sauce. One thing to know before you go: this restaurant specializes in soup-based dishes. Every entrée revolves around soup, including the bulgogi. I had never seen bulgogi served in a broth before, so it was a pleasant surprise for both my boyfriend and me. Most of the soups also included clear glass noodles and came in a wide variety of combinations, so there were plenty of options to choose from. One detail I really appreciated was their takeout packaging. If you have leftovers, they use a professional heat-sealing machine that applies a thin plastic seal over the container before the lid goes on. It's a thoughtful touch that keeps the soup leak-proof and makes transporting leftovers much easier. If you're craving authentic Korean comfort food--especially soondae soup--this place is definitely worth a visit.

this may have been the best short rib of my life,,,thank god you have another location,,,san diego…read morewill be seeing me when we ordered, i thought things were a bit expensive. however when the dish came out, i realized it had MASSSSSSSIVEEE chunks of meat on even larger bones. the sauce was sweet, not to an unbalanced profile, but it complemented the spice and savoriness of the meat. i floated after the first bite wow it was really tender as well. i appreciate the tongs, scissors, and glove that the gave us too! it helped with eating the whole thing. i kid you not this was some of the best banchan ive had too. the kimchi had a great slight fishiness, not too tart which is perfect for me. both the radish and kimchi had the freshest crunch that is sometimes hard to come by. usually i'm used to more variety but the flavors and textures of these two. the spicy brisket stew was delicious!! reminded me of mama instant noodle taste which i love. i wish there were more glass noodles but there was soooooo much brisket that substituted my craving well. the tteokbokki was probably the most underwhelming dish. i think for $10, the portion is tiny and the sauce is just mild and a big thinner than im used to. the tteok itself was a good texture, but the short rib dish had tteok too which was swimming in that heavenly sauce. we just ended up mixing the tteok and short rib dish to create the best of both worlds. i love how they package their to go containers too - airtight fast service and kind owners
