The service here is excellent, our food came out very fast. They have four TV's, one was playing Big Bang Theory and another had football so we each had something to watch. I'm not too big on the overall hype of Korean fried chicken. It's good it's crispy. The sauces are decent, but there's nothing that really pops out to me. Bonchon is an OK place to have a quick Korean fried chicken lunch or dinner. I thought the pricing was OK. There was nothing too amazing about the sauces on the wings. The spicy sauce wasn't spicy at all to me and the soy garlic was tasty. The coleslaw was mid. I got a side of rice and you can't mess rice in a rice cooker. The restaurant was semi clean. There was a lot of restaurant stuff in the hallway towards the restrooms that had to be dodged. There were a lot of teenagers eating at this location or very young adults no older than 25. My friend and I were the oldest people in there. We are well over 35. My friend likes this restaurant and frequents a lot. My take on Bon Chon can be summed up as an American Korean fusion style dishes. A bit over hyped smaller portions; this location was a bit untidy and unkept, little black fly-thingy; had to hunt out of my bulgogi fries. Service was good, considering it was a quieter afternoon. While out and about we stumbled across this spot fot lunch. My chicken sandwich was very moist with a nice crunch to the coating, Will definitely be back for it again! My lunch mate had the wings/drum mix with spicy sauce. We were very impressed by the size of the wings for the price - so many places serve tiny wings, not here! Only downside was iced tea is bottled, so can be pricey if you want a refill, though I appreciated the server telling us it was bottled when we ordered tea. read more

Ordered chicken from here and the chicken was ok, but the side radish dish was horrible. Looks like someone chewed it up and put it back in a container. Yeah, I have been here a few times. I really enjoy the chicken. Their potstickers are just OK. I prefer the garlic soy over the spicy spicy. Just has a funky taste in my opinion, but you definitely can't go wrong with some steam dry and some good old Korean fried chicken. Super crispy super juicy. The tteokbokki was ok, not terrible , not fantastic. The bulgogi fries were hard to get through, the fries themselves were tasty but the topping seemed low quality and didn't really mesh well together .Grade: C Service: The server and host were very attentive and friendly . Visited Bonchon Chicken for the first time to try the Chicken Katsu. I called ahead to confirm that the katsu is made with white meat and was told yes. My friend and I stopped by for a quick lunch. We have gone to his restaurant before but only the one in Denver. Towards the end of our meal, my friend took a sip of her soda and noticed 6 ants crawling around her drink. We asked for a manager and we were told there was "no manager". We asked for a refund and they said they were unable to give us a full refund. My friend and I are paranoid about getting sick now, and they never tried offering a solution. I highly recommend not coming to this location unless you want to find dead bugs in your drink. read more

This was my first time trying kbbq and I was not disappointed! The sauce was delicious and I was very pleasantly surprised by the great quality of the meat. I've stopped by this location multiple times and had different experiences each time. I wont be coming back to this location just for the service. I love the ambiance and the food but unfortunately the waitress always has an attitude. My last two visits to this establishment they've given me the incorrect order. For one of these visits the waiter was nice and apologized as it was a busy night, however a waitress who happened to be working that night made a snarky comment about the mistake (even after it was taken care off). Yesterday this same waitress was working and was again rude. I noticed they had a new waitress that wasn't fluent in English and accidentally ended up serving us Korean Tacos instead of the bulgoggi I asked for. This was immediately turned into a game of telephone between the other waitress in the building... I understand the difference in language, I don't understand the rude attitude from the other waitress who wasn't even in charge of our table. Not only did they refuse to take the tacos back but they also charged me 14 dollars for a dish I didn't ask for or touch. I was a waitress all throughout my college years and understand how difficult things can be, but this is still not a way to treat your customers. I recommend you visit the other locations, they have friendly staff and better service read more

I avoid writing not so positive reviews but this experience really made me sad. I've ordered take out mostly now and my experiences have been better for take out vs dining in since they've opened. I was in the area and went in on a Tuesday after 1:45p hoping to beat the lunch rush crowd and give dining in another try. Korean Fried Chicken typically taste better fresh dining in vs take out. I was happy to see the restaurant full but feel for restaurants that struggle to staff their restaurants when busy. I stood at the door to be seated for over 10 minutes and then just waited in the cashier line trying to get a staff member's attention. I spoke to a server to be seated and she directed me to order at the cashier, but then sat other 2-4 tops to dine in. I was annoyed but let it go since they are extremely short staffed and saw signs everywhere about hiring. I waited in the cashier line while watching two servers/staff members run all around the chaos. I felt bad. Two other solo diners waiting at the door with me just left and didn't want to wait to be acknowledged anymore. Dining in orders were ready to be brought to the table, and the line waiting for delivery pick up and ordering grew longer, 4 checks were waiting for payment and wanting to leave, the take out order line was growing, & the Pepsi delivery person was even waiting. The two front house staff members were overwhelmed. I finally ordered at the front cashier and sat at a two top to eat. My lunch special of 8 strips (boneless was sold out) with soy garlic sauce and seasoned fries ($14.35 plus tax and tip) was ok but did come out very quickly. I think that's the difficult part, the back of house staff pumps the food out so quickly, but they're not staffed in the front of house to be able to serve the food in time and wait on the tables with a full restaurant. I was hoping for a quick lunch and once I was sat and orders the food came out! The seasoned fries are good but some of chicken pieces were a little dry. Still enjoyed my late lunch. The lunch special portion is very large with 8pc and a side. I typically order their KFC wings and other apps but wanted to give the lunch special deal and boneless or strips a try (others recommend them). Plus I could bring it home to share if I didn't eat all the chicken. The ambiance in restaurant has lots of big screens loud music and busy atmosphere. The restrooms need some attention. I will say that one of the servers was very friendly and apologetic, and then the other one just seemed in space or overwhelmed to engage with customers. Bonchon might just be a take out spot for me once in awhile now. My dining experiences since they opened were pretty sad and not worth the frustration. I have friends that enjoy this place and I will continue to do delivery or pick up for them. I typically really try to focus on positive feedback on most reviews and often when I have poor experiences I try to go back multiple times before writing a review hoping the bad experience was a mishap or short staffing or bad day but this experience was just so disappointing and frustrating. I felt like I had to write a review so that management can can help their team members. Bonchon please help out your team members and staff up or don't seat a full restaurant with long lines for pick up and deliveries with 2 servers/staff members in the front. The dining experience is pretty unpleasant and does not encourage diners to come back. I even saw a two top frustrated waiting for someone to pick up the check for payment walk up to the front register line, they just SIGHED and mumbled frustrations multiple times behind my table waiting in line to pay for their check. It really isn't the best dining experience. I don't blame the staff and try to have patience and give grace and in frustration still Be kind. I still tip 20% or more even when food or service is not so great. It was sad to see the staff so frustrated and overwhelmed. It was also sad to see people leave frustrated and annoyed. It really was awful to see the decline in customer service, cleanliness and quality. read more

I just ordered mixed chicken 15 piece half-and-half through DoorDash. The food came pretty quick, but the quality of the food is just not there. Definitely not the reputation of Bonchon at all. I ordered half soy garlic, and half yangnyum sauce, soy garlic, taste like straight up just soy sauce. And the yangnyum sauce doesn't taste the same as the other locations also there is a little to no sauce on the chicken. If you're gonna serve food to your customers, half ass, you should look for something else to do. Definitely check your food before you eat it. And before you take it home. read more

I am a big fan of Korean fried chicken, or any other fried chicken for that matter. I was traveling in the area for work and stumbled onto Bonchon. After walking in, I thought it might be a chain because of the vibe. It was around 1:30 pm during the week and they were completely empty. A few other diners came in after we arrived, but the emptiness impacted my hopefulness. I ordered 8 tenders and fries. The seasoned fries were crispy and hot. They were well seasoned and exactly what you'd want. The chicken was interesting. It didn't have the intense crisp or juice you would expect from Korean fried chicken. The tenders were also flat and thin. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting. They have two flavors: soy garlic and spicy. The spicy was borderline too hot for me, but I'm not the biggest spicy person, so probably not a good reference. The soy garlic was my preferred flavor, but I didn't think it was anything special. Overall, the service was fast and dining area was clean. They had a lot of tables inside for seating, but since they aren't very busy, you won't need to worry about it. They're located in a small shopping center, so parking was a breeze. Based on my experience, I wouldn't say this is an accurate representation for Korean fried chicken. Which doesn't typically happen when you order take away anywhere. we have never been, so we tried the smothered fries, the beef sliders, the pork potstickers, chicken Katsu and a large half and half of the chicken wing and drumsticks combo. Wow! We did not have any expectations But we were so pleasantly surprised with how flavorful and how well-cooked everything was. We love spice, so we were so very fond of the explosion in diverse flavors in the meats and the sauces served with said dishes. Additionally, we were very impressed with the portion sizes. "Have no expectations" they say. That was exactly what I did last night when I stepped in Bonchon for something quick to eat before my shift (side gig) at a restaurant in the same shopping center where this Bonchon is located. I wasn't feeling for a sandwich or salad I could have gotten at Panera right next door so something Asian (like a-la-carte style) sounded good to me. So without a further ado, I rushed to Bonchon. First thing I noticed: the restaurant was very clean. The tables were neatly lined up in somewhat small space (compared to the Colorado Blvd location, this is definitely smaller.) Service: I was immediately greeted by a lady. "Dine in?" is what she asked so I said it'd be a to-go. She then pointed to the menu right at the ordering counter right in front of my belly. Although I've been to other location (as I stated, the one on Colorado Blvd), it's not like I was very familiar with their menu. The menu is easy to understand and you can quickly pick whatever you want from it. Good selection; not too small, not too big. Because the restaurant was at the peak dinner time (it wasn't super crowded in any way but I could tell that they also had online orders people placed), me as a walk-in to-go order, I though it might take a bit longer than I'd want. Good thing is that I was wrong. My food (steamed rice, takoyaki and kimchi) came up pretty fast. I'd say that the wait time was probably 10 minutes or so. Not bad!! Food: I had 35 minutes before my shift started so I, of course, ate my food in the car. The rice was decent. Kimch, although it's definitely not the best one, was decent as well. But most of all, my TAKOYAKI was quite surprising to say the least. The traditional way to make takoyaki is to use a special molded pan (like waffle maker type equipment.) Takoyaki is usually never deep-fried but Bonchon's takoyaki (if I'm not mistaken) are deep-fried (I hope I'm correct on this one.) At least that's what I tasted because those takoyaki balls were crispy on the outside (they almost looked like arancini (Italian rice balls.) Well, whatever the case may be, I really liked it! Nice and creamy inside, nice and crispy on the outside; the combination of the brown sauce (used for okonomiyaki) and mayonnaise was just the right amount to enhance the taste of it; I wish they sprinkled more katsuobushi ((okaka or bonito flakes) as there was a very little on it. But overall, I really enjoyed it. This might be my new addiction going forward (maybe?) Based on last night's to-go experience, I can give them a solid 4-star review/rating. read more

Well, gotta try a new concept, Korean fried chicken. My boyfriend's son suggested we try this new location of Bonchon in the Cornerstar shopping center. A great new fast casual experience. The service was so friendly and the food was worth the trip. We tried a lot of items including their potstickers, tenders and wings with the assorted side dishes. The coleslaw and kimchi were very nice, but I really liked the pickled daicon radish. These sides cut through the spicy sauces nicely. There hot sauce is hot but not that hot and the garlic sauce was very flavorful. The fried rice was okay, but I would try one of the other options on the menu next time. Nice to know we have this available nearby. Give Bonchon a try if you are feeling adventurous! read more

Long waited Bonchon closer to me. I m a happy camper to some extent. When Bonchon was just a distant memory of the east or west coast, I was glad to see the 1st location in Colorado open up near the Central Park. Didn't really pay attention to the pricing or the authenticity of the flavor and the quality. However, as time passed, started to become picky and choosy with the attitude of privileged class, I must say.. it is darn expensive compare to other wing joint around metro Denver area. Yes, it is very crispy and flavorful (soy and spicy at the time of visit) and yes, the pickled radish to compliment the chicken. That is where I took a star off for being so dang expensive. Lot of us got the latest round of stimulus $$$$ and got money to burn but over the long run, we will realize how expensive it is and may search for cheaper alternatives. WingStop may become happy alternatives in the near future. With all this whining, I may grab glass of wine and try their newest addition, sweet red chilli flavors. read more

The wings are crispily delicious. I got the "spicy" flavor, it's like a hot Korean bbq. As someone who eats very hot things all the time, I would rate the spiciness about a 6. It's noticeable but not unbearable. I really love that they're actually crispy. The breading is thin, not bulky, and doesn't fall off while you're eating them. I can't wait to come back again to try other flavors. My only complaint is that the price is a little high, it's almost $2 per wing. Although the wings are great, and actually pretty big compared to some other places. In my opinion they should knock off $2 for the 8 piece, or bump it up to a 10 piece and keep the price. read more

I've really been into the korean fried chicken scene lately and seeing the drool worthy photos online I knew I had to try this place. After a late night softball game, I came here with two other people around 9 p.m. My first impression walking in wasn't good. There wasn't a clean table in the house and it was very dirty. We sat at a table and tried to move the dirty dishes and glasses to the table next to us. Eventually, a staff member cleaned off a table for us and we moved to that one. I don't know if they were short staffed, but it wasn't a good impression for our first time eating here. I feel that they also need to work on their service because the whole night we literally had to hunt someone down if we needed anything. The service was slow and although the staff was nice, they seemed to be off in their own little worlds. A meal that should have taken 45 minutes turned into double the time. The upside is that the food at Bonchon's is delicious! The fried pickles are more like fried pickle fries and nothing like I'd seen before. They were really tasty and different with the spicy mayo dipping sauce. I ordered the chicken katsu and the portion size was nice and big and the taste was mouth watering. I also ordered the pork buns to try out and I would say those were my least favorite. The pork was pretty tough and I couldn't get it to separate without tugging hard on it. Also, worth a mention, they forgot to make one of my friends entrees so she had to wait about 10 more minutes after we got our food to begin on hers. I haven't been here in a minute because my first visit was horrible. Today, my visit was fabulous. Shot garlic wings were crispy and flavors were on point. Bulgogi fried rice was thoroughly enjoyed by two boys. The variety on their menu was greatly appreciated for someone who loves Korean chicken but live with boys who don't like chicken. They have a great happy hour and daily special that I will definitely return for. These are for dine-in only and you have to ask for. Service was friendly and the food came out fast.
