Green onion in my dessert
Amaya S.

This used to be my absolute favorite spot and I have been going here for 4+ years. Service and sauce bar was pretty good but my most recent time here, the meat and veggies tasted very old. The rice cakes I got were also split which means they have been frozen for quite a while. The meat was also gamier than usual and made me want to gag. I wasn't going to complain but then I found a green onion in my dessert. DONT COME HERE bronze empire hot pot is way better and worth the extra 3$.

Dark chicken broth, beef brisket, fatty beef.

Servers are very helpful and kind. The sauce bar is great. It's very customizable. Food was all very fresh. Definitely would recommend

Came here for dinner. There was plenty of parking. We were seated right away. I ordered the original broth and it was pretty good. The restaurant had a sauce bar that you can make and take to your table. Sauce bar needed a little tidying up. It, also, has fruits. On the left of the sauce bar were small plates and bowls to put your fruits and sauce in. Just a warning, the forks and spoons were dirty. Overall, food was as pretty good and veggies were fresh.

This will definitely be my go-to hot pot restaurant in aurora. The prices are the cheapest I could find in town and the establishment is massive with tons of staff and tables to fit hundreds of customers. They give their meats out in large portions so I would recommend ordering just one of each plate just in case you can't finish them. The servers and staff were really friendly and quick to bring us our food and hot prepared items. Come here for lunch or come here for dinner and you will not be disappointed!

Old Town Hot Pot is an affordable and nice place for AYCE hot pot! It's a favorite of many of my friends and I can see why. We stopped in for dinner on a Monday and got a table. They have a vast selection of broths and decent meats. I do wish there could be more options of veggies and other things. They recommend only a couple plates to start at first unless you know you're gonna finish it all, as they charge for leftovers. I got the spicy broth and wish it was a bit spicier. It was good. They had a good sauce bar but were out of soy sauce. The dessert is so so good. It's not too sweet and perfectly refreshing. It's a solid single serve hot pot place. And it cost about $30 a head.

Food: Variety of meat & seafood, veggies to choose from. I like lamb, mud crab, shrimp with head, octopus. Fresh with big portion. Service: Fast service after you ordered. Quick refill on water & soup based. Ambiance: Traditional Chinese decors, clean environment, spacious with some private banquet room. Overall: Best value for your $ for unlimited eating hotpot in Aurora. Must try :)

It must be a while since dining at Old Town Hot Pot last time. Found quite a lot of exciting upgrades. Besides having the add-on AYCE skewers for $3.99, they also got a new condiment station, more organized and with more choices, including appetizers and fruits. Seemed like the turnover was high as there were not as many staffs and most were new faces. The service was prompt and attentive as usual though.

Wide variety of protein and vegetables to choose from!

I'm usually a sucker for hot pot and Old Town Hot Pot was one of those comforting places in town that hit the spot. You know, those places where you can unwind, wear your stretchy pants, and unbutton your button up kinda place. It's A LOT of food. I highly recommend the tomato soup base if you're unsure on what soup to choose. The tomato soup base has a very good flavor to begin with but can easily be modified to your liking with all the additional toppings and sauces. I do love that the smaller toppings or garnishes (green onions, garlic, lemons, etc.), sauces, and rice are self serve at a little bar station towards the back of the restaurant. Loved that the menu also displayed pictures of the proteins, veggies, and toppings that they offer for your soup just so you know what to expect which is always nice. Service was good. The server was always checking in on our table and kept our water cups filled. Lastly, the server brought our table a small surprise dessert on the house which was awesome and even though I struggled to keep up and go for more rounds of food, you know there's always room for a sweet treat!

Lots of root vegetables!

Great hot pot spot in Denver that I will be back again when I'm in town! We went back in April this year and it was snowing the day we went to Old Town. Perfect weather for hotpot. Service: can't remember the servers name now But he was great. He was very friendly and attentive. Ambiance: minimal decor with the large dining room. It's casual and family friendly. Food: the pot is kinda mini but quite cute for an individual pot. I love that they offer dark chicken herbal broth. I also love the seafood options here that the clams are huge and delicious. Lots of options for vegetables as well. I love that they offer many items on the menu that you don't see in other hot pot place. However, their beef quality is mediocre but justifiable for the price. Overall. It's a great hot pot place for seafood and veggie options. We will return on our next trip!

The food here is delicious!! The broth is perfect every time you cook all your raw food in the soup over the burner the pot sits on. There is a variety of meats, beef, seafood pork, veggies all you can eat. The service is great our waiter was great we ordered right away since we knew what we wanted. Great atmosphere plenty of seating and over great place to dinner lunch/ dinner and chit chat with family and friends.

Came here with some friends and I think the pork broth here is the best pork broth I've ever had! So hearty and flavorful. I also liked the spicy broth as well! Our waiter was really attentive and food came out fast and in big portions. Everything was fresh and delicious. Price is fair. Wish they had a cheaper lunch price on weekdays but it's all just one price

We went out for a family dinner and had a really great time. To be honest the spicy broth was not super flavored, but also I'm used having more spicy and slightly more salty broth. So that could be a personal preference. Overall, we definitely ate our money's worth and the environment was very family friendly. Very relaxed and very causal. And they weren't pushy about anything. Nguyet was our server (hopefully spelled that right). And she was SO SWEET, so professional, and just overall such a great server. Was there at all the right times and very efficient. Would go back just for the service. Overall, had a great time!

Enjoyed a great meal here at Old Town Hot Pot on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30pm. There was no wait and plenty of open tables. All of the staff members wore masks, which was nice to see from a health and cleanliness standpoint seeing as they do handle the raw food items being brought to the table. They were attentive, quick and friendly! One thing to note is that if you are seated at a booth, the benches are very hard and uncomfortable after being there for the duration of your meal unlike the cushioned chairs at the standalone tables. My husband and I made the mistake of plopping down into the booth too hard right off the bat and we both went ow! Besides that, this restaurant was delicious and had a nice variety of quality proteins, fresh veggies and carb options to choose from. The individual soup pots are fun and make the experience that much better to be able to try different soup offerings with whoever you're with and you can also control the heat for cooking your own items. The only protein I would say wasn't worth the time or effort was the whole blue crab. It had very minimal meat and was hard to eat as they split it down the middle and don't provide you anything to help crack open the claws. The sauce bar is also a fantastic touch to the place with a wide variety of flavorful options to build your own dipping sauces. I recommend mixing together sesame paste, soy sauce, vinegar, a touch of sesame oil, ginger and cilantro! Don't forget to put on gloves as well to prevent contamination and germs from others touching the spoons. All in all a meal that is worth the price, delicious and the included dessert at the end of our meal had us saying we're so full and can't wait to come back!

Do you serve beer and wine yet? If not, can you bring your own bottle of wine?

Ware still working on our liquor license, the process has been slow do to covid. Unfortunately we do not allow outside drinks in the restaurant as we are legally liable for anything that happens. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Do they have alcohol?

THERE'S ALCOHOL NOW!

When will they have the crab and oyster with AYCE?

We have the blue crabs regularly (depending on how the weather is on the coast. There are some tropical storms that impact our supply.) and we’re trying to find a new supplier for oyster as ours are imported from Australia. They have recently been…

I am confused is it all you can eat or do you only get two plates of meat and what about the veggies and other stuff?

We are AYCE, but we do recommend customers start off with two plates of meat at a time because we do charge for any excessive waste of food. The two plates rule really only applies for the meat so you can order as much as you want for the veggies…

I am so glad that they are so consistent and have not changed recipes or adjusted seasonings. Ordered our two favorites - pickled pepper beef and mapo tofu. Then the string beans and a new dish - sauerkraut fish filet. The sauerkraut fish filet reminded me of the Vietnamese catfish soup but no sweetness added. Very good dish and will def order again. Also love that they have quality rice here.

We ordered the fried tofu (with peppers and onions), orange chicken, fried fish fillet, and veggie delight (mixed veggies). The fried fish fillet was definitely the standout. Perfectly crispy on the outside with a light, tangy layer of sauce that added flavor without making it soggy. Easily my favorite dish of the meal. The fried tofu was also really solid and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The peppers and onions complemented it well without overpowering the tofu itself. The orange chicken was okay. I tend to compare orange chicken to Panda Express (probably unfair, but it's my benchmark), and this one didn't quite hit that same balance of crispiness and sauce. I think if it had a bit more meat within each piece, would be better. The mixed vegetables were decent but not something I'd order again. They felt a bit drenched in sauce and didn't have much depth in flavor. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting an elderly woman who helps out when it gets busy. She mentioned she was the former owner. She was incredibly kind, and we ended up having a really nice conversation in Mandarin. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. Otherwise, really nice venue with lots of space and tables. Waiters always refilled my water, which is a good plus. Also gave me fresh rice when I took the leftovers to go. Overall, a solid meal with a couple standout dishes. I'd definitely come back for the fried fish fillet and tofu. Will be back to try their other dishes.

She told us it was hot and spicy chicken. She said it was not very spicy. The dishes arrive shortly after ordering. The lo mein noodles came out first followed by the hot and spicy chicken. From the looks of it, the hot and spicy chicken really looked quite spicy. It was covered with hot chilies. I tasted one piece and my mouth was burning. I told my husband we should change the order if he couldn't eat it. He tried a few pieces and agreed that it was hot. He did not really want to bother the staff with a re-order. When staff appeared again, I told her the chicken really was too hot. She said they were happy to exchange the meal and that she would take this dish off the bill. Instead, we got fried calamari. In the meantime, I was eating my lo mein, which was quite good. The fried calamari arrived and was much better. Both staff and the owner came out to make sure we were happy. Great service! Just a few small bites to end our wonderful meal. As always, the service was very good and since we sat outside to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air, the ambient was perfect: not too noisy at all. Wendy Tong, owner of Chopstix Fusion, is a lovely lady who welcomes her guests with great hospitality, and her husband is a phenomenal chef who, not only can cook these dishes, but can prepare some mean Chinese traditional dishes.
