Love a local Korean joint! Large menu with fun ugly bowls, Korean chicken, ramen, and lots of other sides and apps. I ate the Galbi ugly bowl. The Galbi was cooked very well and a large portion for the price. Rice and cabbage slaw were good but small portions. I ran out of the sides before i had finished the meat. Did several take outs previously and it was time to do sit down experience at the Ugly Rice. I was greeted by 3 employees as I walked in. Very open and uncluttered layout with K-Pop on TV to the left and ordering counter to the right. Had many choices and took awhile to digest their menu. Decided to get the ddeokboki, seafood ramen (jam-bong) and thier bibibop to share. Had bunch of non alcohol drink choices but opted for free filtered water. All of self serve utensils and sauces were located next to the drink cooler. Had ddeokboki come out first. While getting water and utensils, rest of the food came out. Overall, very timely or shall I say fast? Ddeokboki had lots of oden and rice cake. While bit spicy from gochujang sauce with red pepper flakes but sweet. It was too sweet for me. The Jambong ramen at $14.95 was Korean instant ramen with additional seafood toppings and veggies in it. Generous amount. Tasted quite rich but still had that Korean ramen soup taste. Dont get me wrong, it was delicious. The bibibop was loaded with beef and other veggies and topped with pan fried egg. It came with the gochujang sauce and pickled sides. I could have ordered side of kimchee but skipped. * friendly * lots of choices like calamari rings, K chickens, gimpab and even rolls. I've lived enough life, traveled enough miles, raised enough kids, and eaten enough meals to know when something is legit, and the Don Katsu from Ugly Rice is the real deal. This pork cutlet arrived by delivery and still had a crunch so loud it startled me--golden, shatteringly crisp, and clearly raised with standards. The sauce was rich and savory in a way that felt intentional, like someone in the kitchen actually cared how my day was going. Came with rice and a salad, and the portion size politely but firmly informed me I would not be finishing it in one sitting. Respect. The gyoza showed up like a well-coached bench--crispy, tender, reliable, no drama. And the green tea matcha boba? Balanced, smooth, not aggressively sweet, and very "I've seen some things but still believe in joy." Takeout is always a gamble, and I don't place bad bets anymore--but this one paid off beautifully. Confident food. Grown-up food. A little country, a little corporate, and absolutely Brockmire-level enthusiastic about winning. I have driven by Ugly Rice numerous times as I drive to my sons but I've always been in too big a hurry to stop. Finally, I stopped and it was delicious so I'll definitely plan to stop again. I ordered the fried rice with mixed proteins (including chicken & shrimp) and check out my pic there was a fried egg on top too! I also ordered chicken dumplings and they were delicious too. I was there at an odd time (too late for lunch, too early for dinner) so I was the only one there. They prepared my order quickly and when I arrived home it was still warm and really delicious. Ugly Rice in Lone Tree is such a solid spot for quick Korean food without losing any of the flavor or quality. The dishes taste super authentic, and it's awesome that you can get legit Korean BBQ without having to commit to a full sit-down KBBQ place. The kimbap and bibimbap are both really good, the meats are fresh and cooked well, and the portions are generous. The owners are also gems and sooo sweet. New joint in the area raking over an old sandwich shop. The staff was friendly, plenty of seating, and the inside decor was cute. We had ordered a few dish to try out. Had to go for a rice dish given their restaurant name. The beef fried rice was good with some nice crispy pieces. The flavor was a bit missing but with some of the red spicy sauce, it worked out. I had the half/half corn dog to try as well. Skin was crispy and mozzarella cheesy with each bite. The sugar on top was a bit too much, would recommend going a bit lighter in the future. In addition, who would had thought they partnered with Angry Chicken (in Aurora) for their wings? I had requested the salt and vinegar dry rub. Wings came out great and the seasoning well done. Ugly Rice on Lincoln across from the Legacy campus is AMAZING! Cooked fresh in front of you, the menu is eclectic Korean street food with a focus on fresh ingredients. The staff is polite and helpful, there isn't a bad choice on the menu, it travels well, reheats incredibly, and the portion sizes are legitimately getting what you pay for. This place opened near my house and I'm very happy! The place is welcoming and very clean. I was welcomed upon entering by the owner. Large menu to choose from, lots of delicious Korean dishes. I tried the Spicy Pork Bulgogi and it was delicious! I'm about to try their Korean Fried Chicken. Lot's of appetizers and soups. They offer a lot of Korean soft drinks as well as Coke cola drinks. Ramen and Udon bowls as well. The restaurant has amazing aromas from the freshly cooked foods. They offer 12 sauces and 3 dry rubs for their chicken. They also make sushi to go and Kimbab rolls. The menu has enough variety from simple street food to some of the greatest hits. There are always older Korean ladies in there chatting with the Korean owners. It's kind of like a quick serve Korean place with better quality food (WAY better than Cupbop, which any Asian person will tell you is not good) and prices to match. It's not Seoul BBQ, but it's not trying to be, and the food blows away anything you can get at CoArk Collective. It's simple inside, but there's plenty of space to dine in. There's always modern k-pop playing, and the owners usually walk around to check on customers and make sure they're enjoying their food. Food comes out fast, hot, and fresh, and the flavors taste authentically Korean and just right. I love this place, and it's filling a huge need in the Lone Tree and Parker area. read more

Service is welcoming and fast. I got the original kimbap, bimbimbap, don katsu and kimchi. All of it was very good. The prices are fair as well. Everything is packaged in a to go container so if you aren't finished with your food, you can easily take it with you. Bimbimbap is fresh and flavorful, don katsu is perfectly fried and it's accompanied with rice and a cabbage salad. The cabbage salad has some type of mayo based dressing and it's not overpowering and pairs well with fried food. Kimchi doesn't come with any of the dishes so you'll have to order a side for $3.50. So far this place was the most disappointing, worst meal I've had so far since I moved to Denver. Portion sizes are very small while prices are pretty high. Around $16 for a bowl where I still left hungry after finishing it and it only had 3 small pieces of meat. Spent $40 on two tiny plates and an average cup of boba made from powder. The worst part of the meal other than the terrible portion sizes is the rice. Somehow they managed to make rock hard, dried out rice even though the restaurant is named after rice. It took so long to get the boba we ordered that we had just about finished eating. Sad I wasted my money and time coming here. You're better off going down the road to Coark collective food hall. read more

First time having Korean food and was blown away by how good everything was. We tried half a dozen different things or so, and they were all so good. Never had Kimchi before...really good. Never had Teobokki before...really good. The fried chicken was amazing! So light and flavorful. I'd rate it right up there with my Mother's fried chicken, and I've never had fried chicken as good as my Mom's. Until today. The beef fried rice and won-tons were also delicious. I'm definitely going back for more. The people that work there are super nice. Very courteous and friendly. We even got to sample some food that Ms. Lee said is what she makes for themselves, and I was very touched by that gesture. She even tried teaching me a little Korean, which I was keen to learn and grateful to her for taking the time. (we were the only ones in there at the time, but they got pretty busy shortly after) How nice is that? I highly recommend Ugly Rice and can't wait to go back. Great food and a great experience. I dug in thinking I had two meals or at least a snack later, but I was not disappointed and ate the entire thing. The portions are a good size to fill up on, but I happily split into 2 meals since the comma my first visit left me in. I have been back multiple times but have yet to try anything other than a #9, that being said there is something for everyone here. The ordering process is similar to fast-food places but the rest of the experience was not 'fast food'. The food was out fast but it felt more like a sit-down restaurant. The menu is EXTENSIVE and everything we ordered was very authentic and tasty. Best Korean food south of Aurora. We had a 'newbi' to Korean food and advised her to try the Galbi. She loved it.
