Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant was clean with a welcoming environment. Not the most seating space, so I wouldn't recommend a large group/crowd. Even so, a great place to visit with friends! Food tasted authentic and was delicious. I would definitely recommend giving the place a try!

Did several take outs previously and it was time to do sit down experience at the Ugly Rice. I was greeted by 3 employees as I walked in. Very open and uncluttered layout with K-Pop on TV to the left and ordering counter to the right. Had many choices and took awhile to digest their menu. Decided to get the ddeokboki, seafood ramen (jam-bong) and thier bibibop to share. Had bunch of non alcohol drink choices but opted for free filtered water. All of self serve utensils and sauces were located next to the drink cooler. Had ddeokboki come out first. While getting water and utensils, rest of the food came out. Overall, very timely or shall I say fast? Ddeokboki had lots of oden and rice cake. While bit spicy from gochujang sauce with red pepper flakes but sweet. It was too sweet for me. The Jambong ramen at $14.95 was Korean instant ramen with additional seafood toppings and veggies in it. Generous amount. Tasted quite rich but still had that Korean ramen soup taste. Dont get me wrong, it was delicious. The bibibop was loaded with beef and other veggies and topped with pan fried egg. It came with the gochujang sauce and pickled sides. I could have ordered side of kimchee but skipped. * friendly * lots of choices like calamari rings, K chickens, gimpab and even rolls. One thing I didn't like was everything was served on plastic wear. Will be back to try other dishes.

I have driven by Ugly Rice numerous times as I drive to my sons but I've always been in too big a hurry to stop. Finally, I stopped and it was delicious so I'll definitely plan to stop again. I ordered the fried rice with mixed proteins (including chicken & shrimp) and check out my pic there was a fried egg on top too! I also ordered chicken dumplings and they were delicious too. I was there at an odd time (too late for lunch, too early for dinner) so I was the only one there. They prepared my order quickly and when I arrived home it was still warm and really delicious. I will definitely be stopping again!

New joint in the area raking over an old sandwich shop. The staff was friendly, plenty of seating, and the inside decor was cute. We had ordered a few dish to try out. Had to go for a rice dish given their restaurant name. The beef fried rice was good with some nice crispy pieces. The flavor was a bit missing but with some of the red spicy sauce, it worked out. I had the half/half corn dog to try as well. Skin was crispy and mozzarella cheesy with each bite. The sugar on top was a bit too much, would recommend going a bit lighter in the future. In addition, who would had thought they partnered with Angry Chicken (in Aurora) for their wings? I had requested the salt and vinegar dry rub. Wings came out great and the seasoning well done. Overall, happy to see this restaurant in the neighborhood and will definitely return to try other dishes.

Wonderful authentic bibimbap. Hoping they open one more to the west side of town, but for now, I will make the trek east for the bap!

Great food and service. Can't beat them for fast food. Hidden gem in a small strip center. We will be back!

This place opened near my house and I'm very happy! The place is welcoming and very clean. I was welcomed upon entering by the owner. Large menu to choose from, lots of delicious Korean dishes. I tried the Spicy Pork Bulgogi and it was delicious! I'm about to try their Korean Fried Chicken. Lot's of appetizers and soups. They offer a lot of Korean soft drinks as well as Coke cola drinks. Ramen and Udon bowls as well. The restaurant has amazing aromas from the freshly cooked foods. They offer 12 sauces and 3 dry rubs for their chicken. They also make sushi to go and Kimbab rolls. Definitely will be back!

Whether you are wanting to dine in or grab something fast to go, this place is really good. The ambiance is cafe style so you order at the counter and can pick a place to sit. Service is welcoming and fast. I got the original kimbap, bimbimbap, don katsu and kimchi. All of it was very good. The prices are fair as well. Everything is packaged in a to go container so if you aren't finished with your food, you can easily take it with you. Bimbimbap is fresh and flavorful, don katsu is perfectly fried and it's accompanied with rice and a cabbage salad. The cabbage salad has some type of mayo based dressing and it's not overpowering and pairs well with fried food. Kimchi doesn't come with any of the dishes so you'll have to order a side for $3.50. They give a decent portion for the cost. If you're in the area and want to try something different, this is the place to go.

My daughter and I have been wanting to try Korean Street Food and we're excited to find this place. Ugly Rice did not disappoint us at all! Food came out fast, was delicious. The staff was super helpful, friendly, and answered all the questions we had. We will definitely be back!!

Maybe an off night but all items were awful, over salty, over cooked, fried rice was mushy, fried chicken was hard.

We got the classic soondae soup with bone broth and spicy soondae soup, both without intestines. The soondae was very chewy and the classic broth was on the lighter side. I added some pepper and spicy chili paste for added flavor. It tasted great with the kimchi and pickled radishes. The spicy broth definitely had a kick to it and had lots of pepper flakes inside. They ddukbokki took awhile to come out but once we got it, we enjoyed how it tasted like classic spicy rice cake with fish cake in it. It only had half of a boiled egg, but it was still good paired with the spicy and sweet sauce. They had lots of seating indoors. Definitely will be coming back to try more items.

The experience here is exactly what I want from Korean BBQ: lively, satisfying, and easy to settle into for a while. The cheese corn is an absolute must and easily one of the best sides on the table. The steamed egg was fluffy and comforting, and the meats were the real highlight. The pork belly was rich and well cut, the bulgogi was flavorful, and the short ribs were tender and cooked beautifully. Add a few bottles of soju and suddenly you've lost track of time in the best way. This is the kind of place you go with friends, order generously, and just enjoy the night. The quality of the meat is good, the portions were big enough for the two of us, but definitely would not be enough if there were more in our party. This isn't an AYCE place like many other Korean BBQ restaurants, so expect to pay per meat selection. The prices are comparable to other non-AYCE restaurants in Aurora though. Total for the two of us: about $200, which included the tip. We dined on a weeknight so there wasn't a wait but I assume there is one on the weekends since the restaurant is fairly small. The service was fast and friendly and they checked on us often. Brush up on your parallel parking since only street parking is available.

However, I was very pleasantly surprised at the ambiance, the food, the drinks, and the warmth of the owner! We walked in Thursday night at 11pm. It was one of the only Asian restaurants in the area still open after our flight landed. As expected, the customers were sparse save for 2-3 tables of diners. The interior was immediately green flags - l loved the decor and wood tones. It felt like I was in Korea! The menu is your typical pocha fare - soups, Korean pancakes, army stew, KBBQ meats. We ordered the jalapeño soy chicken wings, volcano pork, and the kimchi fried rice. My favorite was the chicken wings, really crunchy with good flavor and the wings were decently sized. The volcano pork came over a fire burner and cooked at our table. It was definitely pretty spicy but paired really well with the kimchi fried rice, which I thought could be spicier. The pork quality was ok but I really liked the flavors and the bean sprouts in the pot. I particularly love that K Pocha has zero sugar soju on the menu no sugar = no hangovers!) I always drink the brand with the fox on it and squeeze a bit of lemon into the shot. We were served by the owner and the service was efficient. He didn't seem to speak the best English so we had to have one of our friends translate when we asked questions, but he was really nice and welcoming. K Pocha seems to be pretty new, so I will hopefully be back soon to support his business! I definitely want to try the army stew and the tofu soups.

If you like spicy food, I recommend the spicy garlic - it was just the right amount of gochujang spice along with garlic. I had to take a few breaks since my spice tolerance has dropped. LOL. I did order some of their homemade kimchi and pickled radish. I highly recommend the radish. As for the kimchi, if you love kimchi then go for it.
