They were very helpful to get my purchase ordered etc but he assured me that the box had everything to affix said device to my gun. After waiting 11 months it arrives and he had lied. Nightmare. I bought a suppressor in Nov 2021. It is currently Nov 22. They didn't even process my order until February and then their eform system created an error on my form 4 that deleted the FFLs name, so after nine months my application was rejected for something that wasn't even my fault. Almost impossible to get anyone on the phone and their dashboard doesn't show you the applications they actually submitted. I'm now looking at another 9 month wait just to hope they didn't screw it up again. By the way I'm in the military and we move after two years so it's likely it won't get back approved by the time we move. Do yourself a favor and show with a company that knows what they are doing. Your one stop shop, Silencer shop really has made buying a silencer easy and now with the electronic eforms it is even easier. The only delay/area for improvement was shipping them my fingerprints using their prepaid envelope and cards. You do not get tracking and it takes a while for them to get the prints. I would suggest using one of their dealers with electronic fingerprints or make sure you ship priority mail and get a tracking number. Some good and some bad. The fingerprint kiosk was a nightmare. Very difficult, poor instructions and took literally hours! Horrible! The Trust information was misleading. You need a One Shot for only one item. That was totally missing information. Also the docusign software is almost impossible to understand or fix. I had to do it once, get it rejected, do it again. Terrible! Furthermore, the Sliencer Shop does not tell you you can buy the silencer from your own supplier and get it much quicker. They lead me to believe products had to come from them. Wrong! So-- now the good stuff--the NFA Trust is very well-written. It covers every base and I recommend it. So why two stars? Maybe I'm being generous. Maybe they're the best game in town. But they need some serious upgrading of their game!!! By the way, I told all this information to their customer service representative. Let's see what happens. My guess is that they have so much business they don't need to be better. But they could be! They sure could be. read more

Up front process seems well done. Problem is that when you want to edit the trust (took 3 weeks to get through to customer service), have to get fingerprints from another silence shop (the college station/Bryan Tx dealer refused since we were buying in another city) or return their call/email (again terrible customer service - didn't leave an extension and wait time always 30+ minutes). If people are being put on hold for hours/days, maybe its time to add more customer service employees. I'm sure I will get a note from owner "we are sorry blah, blah, blah" and nothing will be done. save the sorry and work on making the process better! read more

If you have a problem with the ATF (what could possibly go wrong with paperwork and a Government agency??) you will be out your $200 tax stamp since they send it back to Silencer Shop and your silencer will by stuck with the gun shop that is doing your transfer. Silencershop.com has become the Amazon.com of the NFA world! I have not been to their physical location, but have been dealing with them online for close to a year. My first order was for an adapter to convert my 1/2 x 20" threaded barrel on my Beretta M71 to the more conventional 1/2 X 28" thread. The part was at my door within three days with free shipping! I have received a few silencers through them via my SOT and FFL and they keep you notified throughout the whole convoluted NFA process. The site posts NFA wait times that are more accurate than any other site out there. To start out with, I have had good experiences with SilencerShop previously. I have ordered suppressors through them before, approved, and received them from a local dealer with an overall pleasant experience. I have also used their kiosk as well in which you can digitally upload fingerprints to make future orders even easier for electronic submissions. HOWEVER, this is a bit of a long rant on why I will never use SilencerShop again until they update their terms of service to give notice to local FFLs that are too incompetent to even submit an electronic form 4. In early of 2022 (Order was originally placed before that around early December whenever e forms went live) I began wondering why my form 4 electronic submission was stuck in "Ready to Certify" (orange) status. For about a month my order was stuck in this status and I had to search everywhere to figure out what exactly this meant. I called SilencerShop and they specifically said my submission will be ready to be submitted shortly. They never gave me a specific date or any further instructions. I contacted my local dealer wondering on what the holdup was. They specifically told me initially that it was SilencerShop and/or ATF holding up the submission process and that they had not received the go ahead to submit the form. This puzzled me considering I had seen numerous posts online saying once it is ready to certify the dealer is supposed to do a live session and submit for you. I waited another week, continued to call my dealer. Granted this is probably the slowest and worst dealer experience I have ever had (their main NFA guy rarely even came to the office, he probably worked 2-3 days a week max) and their employees had no clue how the form 4 process even works. I will fully admit I should have done more research on dealers in my area, HOWEVER, they are a certified SilencerShop dealer and do orders through them regularly. There is no excuse to have such incompetent dealers listed on your network without any repercussions whatsoever for delaying a certification for almost 3 months. I waited and continued to try contacting both dealer and SilencerShop. SilencerShop was little help, they often said they would contact my dealer but I never received any update or response. I also used their custom form they made for contacting dealers who have left no response. After about 3 months after my purchase I contacted SilencerShop explaining that my dealer is basically incompetent and will not respond back to me. I told them to switch my submission to paper since I figured it would be faster than dealing with someone who takes 4 months to submit an e form. Fast forward a few days after I call them, my dealer calls me finally and says "Hey we finally figured out how to do this electronic thing" at that point I had already switched to paper rendering electronic submission useless. Overall my experience with SilencerShop as of recent has been pretty terrible as you can see. In summary the list of events that happened: - Ordered my suppressor early December - Form 3 came back relatively fast, about a week - Signed the docs and got to the "Ready to Certify" orange stage - Waited about 3 months (calling SilencerShop and my dealer about every other week on a status update) - In the end it took my dealer 3 months to figure out how to actually submit e forms when other places like CapitolArmory have been doing them since Jan/December - Already had switched to paper at that point assuming dealer would never figure out the process, rendering my wait time another 6 or so months than what it should have been - Received absolutely zero help from SilencerShop and had little contact with my dealer to support. They also said they have little control over their dealer network and would not give me any discount or acknowledge their fault in letting incompetent dealers use their network. So to summarize, if you are like me and have generally terrible dealer options or have a feeling your local dealers have no clue how to use a computer use CapitolArmory, they control the entire process end to end and you don't have to even deal with a separate FFL. They will also ship directly to your house (yes this adds a few weeks time to the process). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My experience with CapitolArmory goes as follows: - Submit order - Provide profile info and trust - Send fingerprints via basic postal - They processed my order, fingerprints, trust, and I signed the documents in less than 4 days total - I certified via phone and had my submission processed and SUBMITTED for e forms in a few days (I even got the official ATF confirmation email too) To CapitolArmory, a few days turnaround on a new customer and new order is extremely fast and I am VERY impressed with CapitolArmory so far. 2 weeks after my Eform was denied due to a SS programming error and no emails have been returned, no phone calls. Dealer doesn't know what to do. Very disappointed from SS and will not be using their service in the future. As long as you don't need customer service at any point, you should be fine. read more

I ordered a product that was on backorder. After a month or so i called Dan, a customer service rep, to inquire about when they might be restocked. He told me it would be a month or so but then took the time to ask about what I would be using it for and recommended a different product that they had in stock that he thought would better suit my needs. I have one ready to certify that he says he can't and the other he can't even prepare the form. I submitted my order through Silencer Shop on the 29th of November 2021. My check was cashed by the ATF on 21 December 2021. For whatever reason, I ended up with a paper form 4 rather than Eform. I have been tracking wait times on the Silencer shop website by dates. Then one day dates were no longer used and they just listed the number of months. I contact "Alex" from the Silencer shop to find out why. He did not answer my question or try to get it answered. He began asking me questions and then giving me excuses why he could not answer mine. Trust is poorly written and apparently has never been proof read as it has language in that refers to other assets. Guess they are good unless there is a problem. Be sure if you order NFA item with a single shot trust to put it into the same order, because they can't figure out how to associate the trust with the NFA item. Your application will be put in a black hole and you will be never notified. You have to find out from the FFL who seems to be more with it. You can call, and chat, get told they informed IT but nothing happens. Emails are are seldom returned and when they are they are you get half answers as responder did not obviously even read the email. They claim to simplify the process, but seems like the old paper method may be more reliable. read more

I did my suppressor info on the kiosk and got told to wait 120 days , 2 months later I get a email from the ATF saying they never received the fingerprints from silencerShop. so now I get to restart the whole process . Communication could be better. I was sitting around waiting for the next step on a can but I just needed to go to the LGS to certify. Who ever replied to my email was on top of it but when I called when I first purchased the can sounded pretty rude. Maybe he was tired of fielding questions all day.
