Honestly, I thought this place was pretty fire for post marathon meat eats. Affordable for AYCE, meats were decent, and the ajummas were very nice with their service. One of them was from Upland, shoutout to the IE.

To begin, prior to coming I have seen some iffy reviews about the service here and after trying this place out I can now see why. My theory is that on busy nights/weekends the turnovers for the next seating are extremely overwhelming on the staff due to limited seating which in return causes the priority to be getting ppl in and out asap rather than focusing on the actual "service" if ykwim. SO if you come please be patient with the aunties here who are trying their best. I suggest on coming on a slow/week day if anything for those who appreciate more attention. The food is good esp for the price. This Korean bbq definitely screams hole in the wall.

Fast service, good panchan variety, quality meat... and the price isn't bad for ayce. This is a staple in our restaurant rotation.

Soondaeguk. This is what I crave when I want Korean food.

I realize folks come to Sik Do Rak for the Korean bbq and AYCE option. Not me. I come for the soondaeguk on the lunch special menu. Most of the menu items are pretty standard for local Korean restaurants, but soondaeguk (blood sausage soup) is hard to find and I love the way they do it here. A ton of perilla flavor in the broth and just the right portion for a hearty meal, the soup comes with rice and banchan. Sik Do Rak isn't the shiniest place ever, but the restaurant is pretty clean, the service is decent and while parking is tight, it is available. I've been coming for over 10 years and it has my Korean mother's stamp of approval.

Sikdorak is one of the OG KBBQ spots that may not be the most refined or have the best service- but it always hits right. First things first, it's open until 4 am and its BYOB. Bet. I always end up being the DD whenever my friends want to drink at Sikdorak but it's still always ends up being a good time. If you bring your own alcohol, don't forget to bring your ID- they will check! The AYCE Korean BBQ option is $30 per person. My biggest bone to pick with the AYCE here is that it does not include lettuce. Lettuce is an extra $5 and we ended up getting two orders of lettuce the last time we came in. We also ordered their green onion salad for $6. Usually both of these items would be included in their complimentary banchan. We also asked for some raw garlic and soybean paste - although it's not on the menu or automatically given with banchan. Whether if it's a water refill, grill change, or putting in meat orders --you'll have to be more assertive when asking for something you may need. Just a note, they give huge portions of meat for your first order and smaller portions for the other rounds of meat. Also, you can only order 4 meats at a time. You do have to pay to park in this lot. Don't forget to get your ticket validated!

Sikdorak is one of those old school, no frills ayce kbbq spots where you go when you're craving a lot of meat for a great price. The value here is hard to beat the per person cost gets you a solid selection, and while the meat quality is just decent, it's the quantity that makes this place worth it. One thing to note is that the first round of meat they bring out is huge, so it's best to pace yourself when ordering. My go to choices are the brisket, pork belly, and marinated short ribs, the short ribs alone justify the price. Service is surprisingly good for an ayce spot, they check in often to see if you need more meat, and once, a server even brought us a bucket of ice for our beers. Speaking of beers, it's byob, which is always a plus. If you're looking for a fancy kbbq experience, this isn't it, but if you want to eat a ton of meat without breaking the bank, Sikdorak is the move. I'll definitely keep coming back whenever I'm in the mood for an unlimited meat feast.

So this is not my first time here - it's maybe 4th or so. But let me tell you all about it. Sik Do Rak is that classic no-frills Korean BBQ spot that's all about the meat and the vibes -- and honestly, I'm here for it. We came in hungry and left full and happy, thanks in large part to the auntys who run the floor like pros. From the moment we sat down, they made sure we had everything we needed -- showing us their own technique for grilling the meats, checking in constantly, and making sure nothing was missing. We ordered brisket, beef steak, galbi, and more -- solid quality across the board. The brisket was especially good, thin and perfect for a quick sear. The sides were tasty, though the bean sprouts were just okay (a little bland compared to the others). Our grill fire went out a few times -- kind of a buzzkill in the moment -- but the staff handled it quickly every time, so no complaints there. The ambience is what you'd expect: a little smoky, a little loud, and very straightforward. No fluff, no fusion, just good food and casual energy. Their kitchen wasn't running when we went, so it was all meats and sides -- but to be honest, that's all we needed. Will definitely be back when we're in the mood for that good old-school KBBQ fix. Parking is tough to find. You really gotta get lucky. The restaurant validates parking though so that's nice. Other than that, I'll definitely be back (again!)

Today I got to try their soft tofu stew and it was only $11.95 and great. The side dishes also tasted great. The lady working there is so friendly and helpful.

I used to frequent Sikdorak, especially when I used to indulge in the night car scene, it was often the spot for folks to visit. My experience has always been just alright. The place felt like a hole in the wall but it is always popping around midnight. Unfortunately, after a few very negative experiences with the older lady servers, I decided to not give it another go. Here's a notable negative experience: I visited after starving all day, it was super busy so we had to wait a long time, around 30-50minutes but I was pretty much tweaking out by then. We were eventually seated and I was very excited only to be very let down by my entire experience. The lady continuously ignored us, it was very difficult for us to wave her down which felt weirdly intentional. I initially brushed it off but after several times of having nothing cooking because we weren't able to put an order in, we were very frustrated to say the least. This is petty but we decided that a tip was not deserved as we were barely given a service. After we paid and walked the lady chased one of us down and demanded a tip which is pretty crazy. I wasn't RIGHT there for it but I witnessed it happen in the car. Recently, I visited again, after not visiting for MONTHS. I just felt that I would rather go somewhere else that doesn't have such shaky service (I luv Sura btw). However, my experience was much better this time around. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful. The meat quality here is better than Suras in my opinion. However you just get the meats, rice, and banchan, the sides would be extra cost. We ordered lettuce wraps for an additional $5 but they forgot about it. I honestly just didn't want to bother the waiter as it felt like he was already doing his best. He realized 3/4th through my meal and asked if I still wanted it, I said that it was fine and to not worry about it. However he was still nice enough to bring it out on the house. Meats I ordered: - Beef Brisket, always a must order at kbbq places imo - Top Blade (Super tender, better than beef brisket surprisingly) - Short Ribs, flavorful and tender - (NEW) Octopus, sweet and spicy, my partner said it was too spicy for him but it was perfect for me and super good. - Pork belly: too fatty for me but it's pork belly so that's expected Personally, my opinion of sikdorak is still up in the air (which is better than before)... I am just concerned with the consistency of their service and that all of the sides are extra charge.

Waited 10 mins after sitting down to get menus, then felt a bit rushed to put in our order. The waiters all spoke like the staff in Get Out; no warmth, authenticity, or presence. You can be professional and still be personable. Alright let's get to the food. Portions are comical. It's what you imagine in caricatures of fine dining. A dish's price should match its visual 'wow' factor, yet despite their stunning appearance, ours lacked true flavor and offered nothing astounding. And what was even weirder was the waiter coming back around 2-3 times to tell us the bread was on the way, only for it to arrive cold after our entrees came out. That gap between the amuse-bouche and our entrees could've been better sequenced had the bread come out before our meals. Maybe this place is more traditional fine dining and caters to the older crowd. Maybe they lean more on service and ambiance over punchy, creative dishes. Either way, we felt it was all pageantry and zero substance. In fact, the grilled cheese and Betty's Burger we got on the way back to the hotel was a better memory for us three.

On a whim, we decided to have an early dinner on a weeknight. Only 4 or 5 tables were occupied so the restaurant was pretty much empty. We walk in, and hostess is somewhat kind, asks if we've dined here before (yes, several times), looked up our phone number and showed us to our table. Of all of the tables empty, she lead us to the most dim, dark, quiet corner 2-top table right by the bar. The most corner table out of this entire, roomy restaurant. We asked the hostess if we could be seated elsewhere, you know, somewhere where where there is some light and no in the very corner of the room (almost felt like there would be a storage area behind our table or something). This place again, is huge - why that table? We bring this issue up, because this wasn't the first time this happened to us at this restaurant. Many couples that were there before us AND they were seated in a better area we have also witnessed many couples seated at tables that seats 4. Did they all have reservations? Even then, who is deciding if they should seat at a 2-top or 4-top? We absolutely felt like there is some favortism (and even discrimination) by the hostess. After our request to sit elsewhere we were taken to another small table for two by the window by the entrance. We could watch and observe guests coming in to see if any of the other "Party of 2" guests would be taken to that dark quiet two-top table that we were initially lead to. Answer: No. None of them. Hostess never even tried to seat anyone there. So this clearly wasn't about rotation to be fair to servers (to make sure they get customers seated in their assigned area). One couple was taken in the center of the main area (4 top), another party of two, another 4 top table by the buffet. Then another, and then another. The hostess all smiles, talking story and all friendly with some. I guess we have to kiss up to the hostess to get a good table? The manager also never came around to say hello. She only went to a table where there was a known TV personality (again, they were here after us, party of 2 - seated at a table that seats 4), talked with them, then an obligatory hello to the table next to them (again, party of 2, came in after us, again, seated at a table with 4 seats) but left without making rounds at our table even though we were only a few steps away from these two tables. LOL So again - if you are follow seating/section rotations then why weren't any of other party of two's taken to the dark quiet corner 2-top table we were originally lead to? The entire time we were there, NONE of the other couples were taken to that table. Hmm. The food was very good. The salad bar - everything was fresh and there were tons of gauchos walking around with various types of meat. The server for us was very attentive and gave us refills, took empty plates off our table in a very timely manner. The price is costly, but if you're hungry enough and eat every meat brought to your table, maybe it will be worth the price. Conclusion: Good restaurant to enjoy AYCE. Make sure to speak up if you don't like the table you are taken to - especially when the restaurant is close to empty with no customers. The gauchos and servers were friendly and professional. Maybe the manager and the host/hostess need some refresher on how not to be so obvious the kind of customers they want to favor (like TV personalities) By the way, that dingy dim quiet corner 2-top that they tried to seat us - was still empty when we were leaving (and the restaurant was pretty crowded by that time)

I see the new huge poster out front, every time I stop at the bakery next door, the family meal with 6 items sounds great, reasonable. I decided to make it easy for me with few stops to grab this for Super Bowl Sunday. I called that morning to place my order. There are no photos of the family set on Yelp so Your welcome, if you decide to order this set, Please think twice, it sounds like a great deal but not. I/my family was very disappointed. I picked the 6 items, now keep in mind it says "Family Meal Deal" when you get your items, family - ? don't think it will be enough to feed your family depending on how many is in your family. I got the 6 items for $55.95 and paid $8. for Chow fun. The 6 item choice I picked were : fish filet ( got the wrong order) roast duck, string beans, ginger chicken, sweet sour pork, and chicken wings. What a surprise when I opened up the bag to set up for our Super Bowl spread, they were cute little take out containers like the kind you would use for leftovers at the Chinese restaurant. They weren't even filled to the top. It was little like sample dishes. Wow. also the food did not taste fresh, all the food I got tasted like they were reheated, except for the chicken wings. The chow fun was a regular portion but it was on the oily side. I hope Hawaii99 Take Out Express takes down the huge poster in front, its very misleading and false advertisement. I have another review to write regarding my family dinners, this will be continued- will update. I just want to get this out there in case you want to get the family meal deal. Its really a joke! Luckily we had other foods at the Super Bowl gathering and also ordered pizza last minute. Sorry family, I am pretty much mad at myself, I outsmarted myself again. ** see my photo of what they call a "family meal deal" in tips**

The Dry Beef Chow Fun was very good and tasty and the noodles were on the thicker side not really thin like some other places, the beef was tender and good size slices. The portion size of the dish could feed 3 maybe 4. The cold Ginger Chicken was also very good and tasty and the flavor was really good and it wasn't overly salty. The Spring beans were cooked just right not over cooked and the flavor was different, but very good and the pork was sliced and the taste was really good. You can bring in your own BYOB! The restroom are outside of the restaurant and shared by all the business there, sadly in the men's restroom looked like a person was living there with some clothes and a dog bed and a packages of personal belongings scattered all over the bathroom floor. They said the tell the management and custodians, but somehow cannot keep who ever is living in there even with a key system they have to use the restroom. Overall the food is great!

We were seated 30 minutes after we checked in around 4pm. The Last time we dined here was 2023 and everything looked the same. Luckily we were seated by the railing with some epic views. Kristy was our server last night and she did socks and amazing job. She had this beautiful warm smile. She was friendly, knowledgeable and very sweet. Everything was amazing from start to finish. Hopefully when we come back Kristy will still be here so I can request for her. Thank you HJ and Kristy ! We will definitely be back soon !

This location opens at 4pm and does not take any reservations but we had very little wait, 25 minutes, even arriving at 4:05pm with a line already formed. While waiting for our table we made our way down to the garden and walked around and enjoyed the turtles and fish in the little lake they have. This is a great photo opportunity. Once our table was ready we were seated and our server came over quickly to get our drink orders and any appetizers we wanted to put in. Their poke and island ceviche were delicious. They also provide complimentary bread with guava butter that was amazing. Since I was celebrating my birthday I decided to go for the prime rib that many have compared to a steak out of the prehistoric era. It was cooked perfectly and the potatoes and green beans were great sides. This will definitely be a place I return to with friends and family due to how great the service was and the beautiful view and delicious food. The best part of the night was the Liliko'i Crème Brulee. I cannot wait to go back for more.

The buffet allows you to eat at your own pace and you can also order hot dishes as a side. We enjoyed the volcano and regular karaage chicken. The food quality was great and a perfect selection. Restaurant is clean and the customer service was fantastic! Between cooking the food and the upbeat music, everyone in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying themselves and I noticed that almost no one was on their phone.

But if you show up with 4 adults on a Saturday night when it is packed, you still can only order 8 plates of raw meat at once (akin to 6 very thin slices of meat per person) and a server you see again maybe once or twice more for the entire night. I would think it actually would make sense to me that they allow more orders to get placed at once (and just charge you extra if you don't end up eating it... like other places do) in times they are swamped, or at least up the portion per person (it makes no sense that the limit is the same for 2 people as it is for 4 people). It would have actually earned them more money tonight as we wouldn't have sat there hungry, staring forlornly at other table's plates but would have eaten quickly and left, allowing them to turn our table quickly. So yes, come here when they aren't busy.... But find another hot pot location to eat at on Saturday nights! Also don't come here if your kids are not height challenged. My 7-year old barely eats and is super skinny. But he is over 50 inches so we have to pay the full price adult cost for him.
