The lady working here Friday Aug 13 @ 12pm is a rude worker. USPS please have this woman go through some customer service training as she desperately needs it. We were waiting in line and one of us stayed in line while I went outside to grab a pen. Once returning to the line she yelled at us "Did I call you, did I call you?" We were obviously confused because we were just returning back to our place in line. She stopped helping the customer in front of her to yell at us for another 2 minutes. We were sent to this location to apply for a passport because this place is NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY according to the information given to us from the LB post office. This woman turned us away which means she's not following the USPS posted hours/instructions. Not only is she a rude employee but also an insubordinate, loud mouthed embarrassment to the US post office. read more

My boss was the one who told me about this place since I was getting a passport for the first time ever in my 33 years of life. I came here this past Saturday at 9am and boy oh boy there was such a huge line. I knew it was going to be busy but I had no idea I was going to be here for 2 hours almost 3. I will say that if you read all the signs that are set up that you will know what to do. What I did was definitely did my research online so I knew what needed to be done. I waited one hour to get the application processed. The lady who was processing the application was very nice and friendly. I will say that make your copies in advance because they will charge you a $1 for every copy they make. They make a copy of your birth certificate even though they will take the original. They also need a copy of your ID. I made a copy of my ID beforehand but I didn't know I had to make a copy of the birth certificate as well. Once they finished processing my application they gave me a number and I waited for the number to be called. My number finally got called about 10 mins after and then another lady took a picture of me and then reviewed the application carefully. Once I was done with her I had to wait again for the same number to be called by the cashier. The cashier finally called the number and then with a check or a money order you pay for the amount of the passport. After that you can go pay cash, credit or debit for the fees of the post office such as the passport fees which is $35 and then $15 for your photo to be taken. I will say that some ladIes are very nice and some ladies are just stone cold because they just wanna get you in and out and help out the next person. That's why I give this place 4 stars. read more

Line is long but if you come early, it won't be as bad. One of the ladies speak Spanish so it's nice to know there's someone out there who can help those who are Spanish. Just be prepared. read more

Once again, government subsidized agencies like this have bad habits about hiring people who want to do the bare minimum to keep their job. The kid working at the counter does nothing but stare at his phone and wait 10-15 minutes before he calls the next number. We got here at 1:30, the kid goes home at 3:30, trying to pace the amount of people he needs to process so we finish at quitting time. Lazy people will always find their position at a place like this. He'll probably get a raise for this kind of lazy-a$$ behavior. Applying for my passport was such a pleasant experience. I worked with a lady named Diane. She made sure my hair was right and let me take a few pictures and choose which one I wanted. I was in an out in an hour on a weekday at 12 noon. read more

Totally inhuman to make you wait hours and hours with no bathroom. Feels like a third world country.

This place is so on point. Everyone is so helpful. The office does enforce social distancing and keeps the inside capacity of the facility to a minimum, so be prepared to wait outside, until space opens up. Everyone was very professional and did an amazing job to help every customer with their needs. Photos can be taken on the spot in case yours is not the right size (like mine, be sure to show up prepared for a photo, I wasn't, LOL). I arrived early and the wait was Long (5am - 10:45 when we finished). I was about 25 in queue. The staff couldn't have been nicer in communicating with everyone who was waiting and helpful when you finally get through the door. Expect a long wait if you don't have an appointment , but considering how many people want to travel, I'm surprised it wasn't worse. read more

Best passport center ever!!!! They took a new photo ID when i applied for a passport card, they know whats a good angle and not for passport! It went quicker to get than have to get my paperwork returned back for as simple as photo is not ok . Eckkkk read more

Best kept secret! Not sure what day or time those who gave a bad review went, but my experience was amazing! The staff was helpful and extremely friendly, especially Diane. I was probably in and out for my passport renewal, including photo taking, within an 1hr and mybe 15min. I went on a Tuesday around 920am. This was our first trip out, due to COVID-19, and the staff at this passport office made it easy and pleasant to set my passport renewal in motion. There were no lines and plenty of parking! Everything went smoothly, a great passport photo was taken, and there was no delay in handling our renewal submission; postal staff were really professional. We just hope that the U.S. State Department starts processing such passport renewals soon, and that people can travel internationally again! read more

At first I was a little worried about the amount of time this would take, based on the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. The office is on the second story of the post office building. There is plenty of free parking as well. I went on a Thursday around 1pm. I looked online to see what I would need to get a passport and printed out and filled the paperwork. Make sure to only use black ink on the paperwork as well. Talked to the First Lady, she made sure we had the right stuff and made sure it was correct. Then we waited for our turn in the main lobby. It took about 30 minutes. Once we were helped in the main area, found out that my wife's info was not complete, but the agent found a way to get our paperwork straight. It did cost extra, but it meant we would get our passports in time. The paperwork for both of us were processed and we payed. Probably took another 20 minutes to finish. The price was high, but that's what you get for waiting till the last minute. In all, with expedited service and the extra processing fees, it was about 550 bucks got two passports. Took about an hour and twenty minutes to complete. Everyone here was courteous and tried to help as much as they could. Just remember to start this process months before your trip, and to have all of the correct info. Ha! read more

it's a mixed bag on when you go. i went and was in and out in 15 min with no one waiting. my wife just went and sat for 2hrs and finally just left as the place was packed. they called 9 numbers in the 2hrs and she was 16 numbers from being called when she started. read more

They are very fast. The place is clean. Parking is free. You have to go upstairs they have elevator accessibility. Lots of chairs to be able to sit down while you wait for your number to be called. I went in the morning around 10 on a week day and there was only 2 people in front of me. Waited about 30min because I had to fill out some papers also. read more

Worst passport service ever. They make you stand in line for more than an hour only to answer questions. After they review your paperwork the second wait is worse! Workers are slow and rude. They should know if they are working for the public they need to be courteous! read more

I am only mailing out a letter and I noticed the passport processing signage in the second floor . This office is so far the most efficient and organized postal passport processing place I know here in Los Angeles and Orange County . The building is a newly built two story with ample parking spaces . Diana helped me with all the questions I have with the help of Linda and Ida at the back office. I wanted to give a SUPER DUPER THANKS to the ladies that work in the passport office. We went to get our boys their passports and Our 8 year old that has severe autism was having trouble when picture time came. The whole crew of ladies came to our rescue. They tried every which way and finally had to get on their knees in front of a miscellaneous white wall to get his picture and they did a magnificent job. They were all helpful and patient with him throughout everything including his constant need to move and stim. You are all goddesses in our book. There is a lady that works there, she is very informative and strict. But it's good because people come unprepared.

I read all of the reviews and was concerned it was going to take a very long time. However, when I got there, all of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It took about an hour and a half. Everyone was very courteous. Especially Diane. She was awesome. read more
