I recently picked up donuts for my church from Sierra Donuts in Anaheim Hills. I placed the order ahead of time so I could just walk in and pick them up. The gentleman on the phone was polite and very responsive (I think he is the owner) and said he would have them ready and waiting for me. When I got there to pick them up the lady behind the counter (I think she is also the owner) was friendly and had the donuts boxed and waiting for me. Updating my Review This time for the Huge # Cake Donut! My Gfren wanted a # cake donut for her daughter last min. She had no luck so I recall Sierra Donuts making them. Gave them a call, Judy answered all my questions. Informed me if i wanted the donut the next day, deadline to order was the day b4 they close at 1 p.m. Took my payment over the phone and it was a breeze. Sierra donut only offered one size # donuts. It was really affordable too. $ 40 for the # 10 donut. If you're just needing 1 # it's $ 25. The donut was good. Fluffy, I'd probably next time request lighter on the icing. The Birthday girl was really happy w our gift to her. Something she wanted too and glad i was able to pull thru. I'll definitely return here for my # cake donuts. It's a nice simple donut shop. We had high hopes coming into this donut shop with our group--after all, donuts and kids go hand in hand. Unfortunately, what should have been a sweet stop turned into a truly sour experience. Our group made 5 to 7 separate purchases, spending plenty of money not just on donuts, but also on a bottle of water since the shop doesn't offer free water (which is already a bit of a red flag for a family-friendly spot). We were grabbing a few extra cups to share drinks among the kids--something totally reasonable, especially after being paying customers. But the owner unexpectedly and aggressively yelled at our 5-year-old daughter for reaching for a cup. Not only was the reaction completely disproportionate, it was also deeply upsetting for our child and everyone who witnessed it. When we brought this up to the owner, hoping for some basic decency or maybe even an apology, he doubled down and essentially told us, "This is how it is." No empathy. No accountability. Just rudeness. Needless to say, we won't be coming back--and if you have kids or expect even a basic level of customer respect, I suggest you think twice before walking into this place. read more

I work across the street and have been sleeping on this on this place! Just this last year they added bagel sandwiches and they are so good! I crave them every single day that I'm here. Rude Owner, (Judy) Convenient location, good donuts but rude owner! Judy is just rude; she is only friendly with customers that kids go to school with her kids. She will snub you and make you feel like she doesn't want your business. Every time, I go, I say it's the last time. Her husband is warm and friendly though. She is always there. Update to my review. Still my go to for mochi donuts cuz no place does a good chocolate mochi glaze and the dough here is supreme. As indicated in my past review, these outrank San Francisco's mochi donuts and everywhere else I've tried them up and down California. At the last minute, I decided I wanted a donut cake for my son's birthday but I was too late to customize and instead called at opening time, 4am and ordered a dozen mochi donuts to create one of those stacking cakes. As promised, the dozen mochi donuts were waiting for me when I arrived for pickup. I'd definitely recommend ordering anything you want ahead. The gentleman who picked up at opening time was very nice considering how early I called. I decorated it with a Happy Birthday sign from target and little decorations I had. MOCHI DONUTS! Dare I say it... out of all the mochi donuts I've tried around here, Sierra Donuts has the best ones in the OC. I came in on a Saturday morning and ordered a half dozen mochi donuts ($15) or $2.65 each, a dozen donut holes ($2.50), and a ham and cheese croissant ($4). Their donut holes and ham and cheese croissant were good, but nothing mind blowing. The real star of the show however were the mochi donuts - so perfectly soft, chewy and sweet! They offer 10 different flavors, but only had 5 available when I went. Out of the 5 flavors I tried, the dark chocolate mochi donut was my favorite, but they were all honestly so good, I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. The little chewy fried balls of goodness are so addicting, don't be surprised if you find yourself eating a half dozen in one sitting! I also really appreciated their friendly customer service which definitely made for an even better experience at Sierra Donuts. We happened upon Sierra Donuts and what a great find. Not only do they have special "mochi donuts" but they are also a hidden spring of fresh juice! I let my little pick out any donut he wanted and he surprised me with a regular chocolate. Then he also got a "crazy juice" which is a fresh juice with literally everything they have...this includes celery, cucumber, orange, apple, beet, and more. It's made to order and given that we pay $10 or more at Clean Juice, a total bargain for freshly made juice. When my better half came to meet us we went back in to try one of those mochi donuts and get another juice. Donuts were delicious and my little one had chocolate all over his face, so I call that a winner. Our mochi donut was cookies and cream; I liked it although I think that the rice flour they use for mochi donuts is an acquired taste so it might not be for everyone. The woman helping us was super sweet. And the store is in a really nice shopping center with more than ample parking. The people working here are two older couple and they are extremely friendly, and hard working. they open at 4am everyday and close at 1pm. I typically go in to get donuts or the ham and cheese croissant. don't sleep on the ham and cheese croissant, it's simple, yet very satisfying! they carry all the typical donuts as well as other items such as mochi donuts, sandwiches, and a variety of drinks. (smoothie, coffee, juices and boba) this place is located in the CVS plaza, and tucked away in the corner near the senior retirement homes. My kiddos and I come here between dance classes around the corner at OCPAA. It has that same vibe so many donut shops have--hole in the wall, owners run it themselves. All of that... When you enter, they have a TON of covid stuff posted all over. That makes me feel better. The employee greets you with friendliness. My kids usually get the unicorn donut, and they love it. It's cute, but I haven't tried it, so I can't speak to taste on that. The little donut is 2.50, which feels a bit high, but my kids are happy and it's local. My favorite thing here is the smoothies.
