This is a MUST VISIT in downtown boise! You're not just paying for your dinner, this place is an experience. Erik was our server and he did amazing! Our cups were never empty and he gave us great recommendations on the menu. I'll tell everyone I know to come eat here! read more

Oh my goodness. The bacon wrapped dates literally changed my life!!!! I wanted an order of the dates as an appetizer, but they only had 3 dates left, so our server let us have them free of charge! Not only were they free, but they brought them out in a cool smoked box. And I must say, they were the best thing I had ever tasted in my entire life. The flavors danced in my mouth and they tasted like they were made at a gourmet restaurant. I'm surprised this restaurant is not at the top of the Yelp list in Idaho because it was some of the best food I have ever eaten. To continue to describe this incredible experience, the atmosphere of the establishment was a mix of biker garage/mechanic/outdoors enthusiast. All of my party had different burgers and they were cooked to perfection with fresh, tender meat. Definitely the 2nd best burger I've ever had. And to round out the experience I got one of their crazy milkshakes to go. Trust me you have to try them because they are served just like the photo reviews. Even if you get it to go, they dip the to-go cup and everything!!! This place was so good I would fly back to Idaho just to have it all again. I recommend arriving outside of dinner hours or else you might face a wait, but they pump parties in and out in incredible speed. I also recommend for any party type or family. Thanks Sid's Garage for the memorable and delicious experience! read more

Sid's Garage - Milkshake came with an ice cream sandwich on top! - Beer Bar Near Me - Boise, Idaho

Possibly the best Burger i have ever ordered at a restaurant. My favorite here is the Steakhouse burger! I do want to warn you that it will get a little messy with your hands, but that is no problem at all to me for the reward in flavor. They offer a variety of local brewed beer and cider. On top of it all, they have large milkshakes which usually come with an ice cream sandwich as a garnish! This is my go to burger joint in town which is tough to say as Boise Fry Company is a 5 star for me aswell. read more

Went in to the downtown location earlier tonight. The waitress was pretty nice at first, however hostile the next second. She called me white trash. A few moments, later she brought me a burger with a syringe in the top. She then proceeded to inject my burger with a mysterious "sauce". I was also served sprite but it was actually sierra mist. Another waiter offered my dad a ride home after he had a few drinks, it was a tad bit suspicions. his experience made me realize i have not made a confession at my local church in recent memory, very cool. i already recommended it to my twice removed adopted uncle randal. read more

Not fresh hamburgers. Food was generally bland. Music was loud inside and outside, couldn't talk. Not bad, but nothing special.

The food here is phenomenal! Definitely plan to eat your days worth of calories in one meal but it's worth it!

Nice eclectic, different place. Atmosphere is great and food really good. Mostly meat items but some vegetarian burgers available too. Excellent milkshakes!! read more

Fun atmosphere with great food and service. Grace and Erik killed it!! I'll definitely be back soon.

I'd give this place 10 stars if I could! Amazing, laid back vibe with delicious food! Sweet potato fries were on point. The biggest shake I have ever seen, with a burger that came in a Pac-Man lunch box Awesome! read more

Sid's Garage - 420 Shake - Beer Bar Near Me - Boise, Idaho

Great burgers with fantastic ingredients and service. Really could have skipped being served it in a lunch box because it's very hard to get the burger out. Some of the music was VERY loud to the point that it was difficult to have a conversation or hear our server. read more

Great food and burgers! Staff are awesome and accommodating. Highly recommended to pop in for a drink and bar fare.

Good food and great service. Nice little outside patio to sit at during the warmer months.

Tried Sids this past Friday night- around 6 pm. Place was pretty empty. We intended to eat an appetizer and what we had heard were great burgers but on ordering drinks realized the drinks menu is so limited that we decided to just have an appetizer. I asked for a glass of wine- any would have been fine but they have zero wines by the glass. Not being a beer drinker i ordered a cider/ slightly odd tasting and I left it undrunk. Burgers sounded great and reasonably priced but the $9 very small order of pretzel bites with a small serving of a mediocre cheese dip was way overpriced. We'd not return just because the drinks are so limited. Might try the burgers for takeout! read more

Great milkshakes! Great experience! Find the ducks! Good cheese burger as well ! Good service and fun atmosphere to be in and great location! read more

The burgers were delicious! The truffle fries were amazing and a very good big portion sized. Got the 420 milkshake and it was very chocolate. The servers were very nice and attentive. read more

I CANNOT RAVE ABOUT THIS PLACE ENOUGH. The burgers were phenomenal as well as the service ! I cant wait to come back here again and try one of the yummy shakes. Ive never seen more creativity in a small business, definitely made with love. read more

Fun environment and fast service! Cool menu with fun options! We split a burger with fries and felt like it was enough!

Excellent establishment. Great vibe, incredibly personable and accommodating staff members. From the hostess to the servers, all went out of their way to accommodate all needs without being a bother. Burgers were nothing short of brilliant! We are in town for one more day and will absolutely be coming in again tomorrow for another dinner. read more

Absolutely awesome dining experience. Multiple staff members greeted us when we walked in. We were seated promptly and offered drinks and appetizers immediately. The truffle fries are these shoe string fries, fried extra crispy topped w/ shredded Parmesan and truffle oil. Eaten w/ ketchup it has this lovely, almost Italian vibe to it. Our waitress was engaging and attentive. She was very effective in helping me make a decision on from of their incredibly interesting and unique burger menu. She talked me into trying peanut butter on a burger foe the first time so I had the PBB & J burger cooked medium rare. The burger came w/ peanut butter, bacon, lettuce, cheddar cheese and a slightly spice jam. It's a delicious meat blend and they cooked it exactly like I asked for. I thought the burger was going to slide right out of the buns when I bit into and get every where but while it is a messy burger, it holds together really nicely and the mess is no more than a few napkin-er. Excellent portions on the toppings and a great stacking order. Come hungry because it's a large burger and if it's your first time, you'll want to save room for one of their equally novel milkshakes. The pictures you see on Yelp don't do them justice... they're even bigger in person. We got the 420... it's just as absurd as it sounds. On your way out to go home and fall into a food coma, basically the entire staff in the kitchen & dining area will thank you for coming in and wish you to come back soon. This place is so well managed. My girlfriend and I sincerely appreciate the food, the service and the feeling of feeling appreciated. In times like these, this dining experience was refreshing. We look forward to coming back to support this local business and trying the entire menu over time. read more

It's official, Sid's Garage just surpassed every level of customer service and hamburger standard I've ever had! The moment I walked in, I was immediately greeted and felt as though I was just welcomed home! I ordered the local pale ale, sweet potato fries and steakhouse hamburger... WOW, it was incredible! I also had the pleasure of meeting the GM who provided me a list of places to check out during my visit to Boise! Lucky for me I'll be visiting Boise every few months now, and I guarantee Sid's Garage will always be at the top of my list to visit again. Thank you to the wonderful staff for the incredible food and ultimate experience! read more

Loved the Bloody Mary with the great appetizers. The food was good and the service was great! We will definitely go back.

Was here last week and it was an awesome environment and the food was fantastic!!! One of the nest burgers I've ever had!

It's just so overpriced. The burgers are overpriced, and they don't even come with a side. The Maui Wowie was good, but definitely didn't blow my mind. The service was very annoying. It didn't seem like you had one server for your table so everyone came and checked on you and told you the same thing and pushed the same milkshake. The milkshakes (which aren't huge) are $12! We had multiple people come to our table and tell us we had to order a milkshake! Sorry Sid, our family will not be returning or recommending. read more

Went there during lunch rush hour, the service was spectacular even as they had people walking in every couple minutes. We got the candied bacon, fries, two different burgers and a shake and everything was beyond tasty. Everything was served in a unique way including our shake with a cake on top of it. I went in thinking it was overpriced but after my first bite I was wondering why the bacon wasn't more expensive. Huge thanks to the staff for making us feel like friends they haven't seen in a while. Ignore the bad reviews, this is by far my new favorite restaurant and have been telling everyone I know to go there. read more

Daniel took such good care of us. He suggested this ridiculous burger for my mother and I to split, I can't remember the name. It had cheddar cheese, bacon, and on egg on a pretzel bun. Mind blown. It's been hours and I can't stop thinking about it. I also had a Sangria juice pouch and she a Bloody Mary... FEE NOM. Go here. You'll be glad you did read more

I am from Reno Nv and had wanted to try this place for a while. I'd only heard great things about Sids. The staff is so nice and friendly, very accommodating! We started off with French fries and sweet potato fries ! By far the best sweet potato fries I've had. Between us 4 adults we got 3 of the boss hog burgers and 1 Maui wowie. All were amazing! I can't wait to go back when I'm in town again. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place!!! From the atmosphere to the staff, the grub to the milkshakes, everything was AMAZING!!! I had a Boss Hog burger and it was hands down the best burger that I have ever had!!! Sid's Garage makes me wish that I lived in Boise so that I could go again and again! This is an absolute MUST if you are in the Boise area! Added bonus - all of their beef is local! Local supporting local... what could be better? 5 out of 5 ! read more

Went to Sid's Garage downtown Boise for lunch on Father's Day. I ordered the hangover burger which comes with an over easy egg, smoked bacon and cheese. The egg was close to raw, even the white part was runny. So, I asked them to cook it a bit more. I waited and waited, no burger. The waitress never checked on us or attempted to refill drinks or anything. 15 minutes after everyone was finished eating, I was finally able to grab her attention and asked her to check on my order. She promptly brought me a cold burger with an overcooked egg, which was fine, I would've eaten it that way, it seriously looked like the cheese had been scraped off and there was no bacon (that I could see) on it. I got up and went to talk to who I thought might be the manager. He literally argued with me about the bacon, and even asked me to "lift up the bun and egg" to show me. Apparently the bacon was under the half dollar sized cheese. I told him that I wasn't paying for it, as I had already eaten the kids leftover mac n cheese and the rest of my party had finished eating 20 minutes ago. He literally just stared at me and was not going to take it off my bill. I told him I didn't want it and he literally asked me if I wanted a box. I told him no because I didn't want it, and he was like are you ready to pay?. I got angry and just paid ($66) for 3 people. Then he had the nerve to strike up a conversation wanting to know what we were doing the rest of the day. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Horrible service!! read more
