This was a great place to grab a quick burger and beer on the weekend with friends. Plenty of outdoor space and enjoyed the way it was set up and decor. I got the veggie burger which was honestly kind of what you expect - I did enjoy it but there wasn't anything mind blowing. Good to know that this is an option though, since some joints don't make a good burger option for us veggie folks. Fries were delicious!! There's a seasoning on the fries that we loved and couldn't stop eating! Our friends got the chili fries with cheese on the side and they didn't enjoy it too much - then again, they got the cheese on the side so unsure if this was the reason but they were underwhelmed. Verdict on the burgers was that they were tasty but patty was over cooked, too well done resulting in the patty being too dry as the preference was medium. Sauce was delicious. I'm always down for a deliciously juicy burger, and Sideshow Kitchen knows how to do it right. While you won't actually find any sideshows going on here, what you will find are tasty burgers and a really chill environment. I had been meaning to try this place for the longest and finally got around to stopping by for lunch. This spot is located in the most random area of town! I almost passed it on the way there. Look out for the signage because it can be easily missed. Street parking only there was a lot of parking when I stopped by. The interior is quite small but they make up for it with their beer garden! Yes, they have a beer garden! SCORE! It's super cute too. Lots of communal style tables and heat lamps! Most of their patio is covered but they have a few spaces that aren't. When the weather is nice, this place would be the perfect spot to just chill out and have a beer in the garden. The music selection was nice too and they project it onto the patio. I didn't try any of their beers since I was at work, but that tap list was on point. Speaking of being on point; how about they delicious burger though?! Yep! It tasted pretty dang marvelous if you ask me. Ordered their food burger with garlic fries and the burger was real good. Juicy meat, melted cheese, fresh veggies... all of that food stuff. Plus, the burger patty was seasoned well which I always adore. Nothing too extraordinary about it, but it was a great rendition of a classic style burger. The only thing that I wasn't too impressed with were their garlic fries. FYI: their "garlic fries" are just waffle fries with minced garlic and garlic powder on them. Had I known that they were going to be waffle fries, I would have just ordered them plain. Waffle fries and garlic just don't mix well in my opinion. It was like the garlic was battling the flavor of the waffle fries. Plus, they just put waaaay to much garlic on them causing them to be overpowering. Pickles for three bucks! I think I already made a post about this place already a couple of months ago. But here we are again it's so good!! Sitting under a lovely cabana umbrella with kids frolicking around and beautiful open sunshine listening are burgers and its juices. These french fries are seasoned with love and TLC. Who knew you could take a frozen french fry and turn it into something glamorous. Look at those pickles! I said I like some pickles he says on the burger I said no and I won three dollars worth this is why I received. I recommend you do the same as an alternative to french fries. This is one sideshow you've gotta check out. So delicious it should be illegal, but we're glad it's not! Located in Oakland, this spot is one you can't miss and won't forget. It's an eclectic mix of reclaimed building materials and design. They have only outdoor seating at picnic style benches, which was pretty awesome. Lots of space so people weren't super close to one another. They're serving up killer burgers and fries with a ridiculously good house aioli on everything. We got the Good Burger with cheese, a side of cheese fries, a Beyond Burger and regular fries. Dear lord was it all good!! Don't get me wrong, it looks like a bomb ass burger, however, the meat patties lacked some flavor. Something a little salt and pepper won't fix and maybe some another spice, but it was a little on the bland side for me. I am glad I added the bacon, but still meh. This adorable little spot is comfortable, welcoming, serves delicious food and craft drinks at reasonable prices, the staff is fantastic and they are even pet friendly! It's a nice size but still small enough to miss it. It wasn't busy around noon. It's also dog friendly. They have a pool table, dominoes, and crayons for entertainment Food: I order the BBQ lemon pepper chicken with garlic waffle fries. The fries were so garlicky it could scare away vampires. The chicken was okay. The season was decent, but the chicken reminded me of a bag of costco frozen wingettes. My cousins are a Mexican Cali burger. They found that it lacked seasoning. Their burger was not cooked well done. So make sure you request your meat to be cooked well if that's your preference. We drank the spiruallini and lemonade. It was good! Give it a try. The food was delicious! I came here after visiting the University of California Botanical Garden with my 4 year old. Not only was the food delicious, the freshness can literally be tasted in every bite. They have hand crafted drinks like lemonades and juice, the pink lemonade was very refreshing. What I most appreciated, was the fact that the bathroom was very clean. I was skeptical, because there is only one restroom for patrons to use and it was outside. Sideshow Kitchen has nothing to do with Oakland sideshow culture, sideshow enthusiasts don't gather there, it doesn't have any skid marks around it, etc. I think this is a good thing given that exhaust fumes don't mix with burgers well. The absolute most important thing is OHMIGOSH THE BURGERS ARE SO GOOD. The are absolutely the best burgers that you can get in north oakland / emeryville / berkeley. Forget any of the chains, these burgers and their accompanying fries are the real thing -- juicy meat or protein, crisp veggies, a fantastic bun, etc. They are perfection. That they have great shaded outdoor seating and are doggy friendly (with non-dog space too) is just an added bonus. And lots of beer especially for those that like beer. YUM YUM YUM. read more

And we should have come way sooner! We are using outdoor dining as a way to socialize our pup and did not know the set up. We called ahead to pick up, but decided to stay and eat when we saw how spaced out it is. This spot is literally meant for outdoor dining! It is also very Bay Area themed - Sideshow and some of the food names. We got a good burger with bacon, some garlic fries, the hyphy wings, the churros, and two hazy I.P.A.s. It was so good. Okay so, came here on a Tuesday afternoon as a last resort AND AM SO GLAD I DID!!! I had the hyphy chicken sandwich and sideshow burger and garlic fries. Granted, this was like the first burger I've had all of quarantine so maybe I was just grateful to get my hands on one, but it was juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked rare as requested. The fries were crispy and garlicky, and soft in the middle. And the chicken sandwich came with like a jalapeno slaw that made me a believer in jalapenos again! In addition, they have ample outdoor space which was nice and socially distant and the employees were extremely courteous, helpful, and respectful of social distancing guidelines. Plenty of tables, boardgames, air hockey, corn hole, picnic tables; a really great spot for groups. They also have a solid beer selection, so even better. The food was eh. The Korean BBQ bowl was tasteless. Very little crack sauce, put that 'ish on the table. But back to the food, for a korean bbq bowl, there was zero seasoning. I had been missing a solid burger since my last favorite place closed several years ago (RIP Oscar's). I have now found my new favorite burger place. The staff was friendly and attentive and made it easy to get a to go order. I'd had been there when it was a cafe before Sideshow and it was cool to see they made the building into a great looking kitchen and converted the parking lot into a beer garden-style seating area. It'll be a great place to bring family when they are visiting to get some beers and burgers and enjoy them.
