Sidelines was busy and after 2-3 minutes we were seated. Great music playing on the radio. Food was excellent as always. Our server was so nice and really went out of her way. Honestly, better places in town. I know they try to be good but damn man. Been here 4 times and each time they mess up bad on something that is clear cut and shouldn't be messed up on. Example: ordered chicken fried steak (country fried for some). Simple order mashed potato's with same gravy as steak and veggies. I got, the steak.....and a half scoop of potato's. No gravy, no veggies....like come on guys you had one job. Another example. Ordered a bacon cheese burger and an egg to go with it......got the burger with cheese.....no bacon or egg I paid for. Sad. But seems this is common here. Not sure if same owners of other places in this town but wouldn't surprise me if true cause would explain the lack of caring. read more

We arrived and were immediately seated by the host, who asked if we wanted a booth or a table; we chose a booth. Rather than put us at one of the booths at the front, he walked us all the way to the back, right next to the FOH staff's dedicated booth for doing their side work, which we both found very strange, when there were plenty of other options. Our booth clearly had not been bussed since the previous occupants (standing water, sticky spots, etc.) The server came out and greeted us within a reasonable time-frame, probably between 3-7 minutes, and took our drink order. When she returned with our drinks, she was ready to take our food order, but we still had our menus in our hands, usually an indication that you're trying to decide what you want, and at the same time I shouldn't fault her for trying to help speed things along. Both my wife and I ordered the same thing with two differences: she got tots and no tomatoes, I got fries and asked if I could have her tomatoes. When the orders came out, they had flip-flopped the order. No big deal, easy fix. The disappointment began when I could tell my fries were average cook, not the crunchy taters I had asked for. I ate four or five and decided they weren't worth the calories, so I started on my club sandwich. The ciabatta used is at least a few days old, so without a proper toasting, you get a chewy mouthful of bread jerky. The chicken is dry, flavorless, and cooked on a grill that could benefit from a good scrubbing. When I could finally taste the "aioli" it resembled the diluted remnants at the bottom of a salad bowl, rather than a thick emulsion. I ate all of mine because we were both famished, but it was primarily necessity rather than enjoyment. All of this time the manager is nowhere to be seen. The restaurant is being run by apathetic teenagers-tweenagers. I had to ask for the manager specifically to be able to tell him about the restaurant's flaws. He responded by discounting our order significantly, which was not what I was wanting when I let him know how they messed up. I only wanted to let him know how to improve. Certainly, this was a gesture of good faith. However, even after the discount, we won't be going back, likely to any of their locations. read more

Holy cow! This restaurant is incredible! The pretzel bites are immaculate. I legitimately began crying because they taste so good. The goopy cheese is an amazing compliment to the salty pretzels. I can't even begin to describe how my taste buds feel right now. The Mac Burger with Mac n cheese bites, and marinara is the perfect culinary creation. I will be coming back here soon. We have ordered from here four times now. Today we ordered a American burger, which was $12 and just a burger. You had to order fries on the side. Same with the chicken finger dinner you just get chicken fingers and have to pay an additional price for a side of fries. Another time I had ordered the chicken wrap and it barely had chicken in the wrap. It was mainly tortilla. The salad we got was amazing. Popped in for a quick take away lunch today since I heard good things about the wings. I ordered 16 wings with French fries and I ordered the wife a panini with soup. The wings were large and crispy, which I was pleasantly surprised about with a 15 minute commute before I could devour them. The one thing that bummed me out a little was the lack of sauce. The wings were coated in a sauce, but they were not wet and there was scant a drop of sauce in the box. I got them hot, so maybe the XXX heat is with more sauce? Also, the other thing that always drives me nuts is a cold sauce included in a hot box. What do you get when you order 16 hot wings, fresh out of the fryer and then throw in ranch dressing cups? Hot ranch.. bleh. The wife enjoyed her panini and soup with her only complaint being the amount of mustard applied. That is an easy fix to just order on the side next time. Probably using the supply crutch, they switched to the new smash burgers. They are petite patties even when you count both as one. Terrible and the meat is flavorless. BIG MISTAKE. My food order was wrong multiple times and not that I was looking for a comp, but knowing that it had been wrong, the manager never approached us. Stopped into the Sidelines one day for lunch and it was ok, but not really great. I had a hamburger that was not really as good as most fast food places and they lack a selection of craft drafts; but the bud light and other domestic drafts are pretty cheap for a bar in the area. Had the unfortunate experience of ordering takeout from this Sidelines Grille location this evening. Our food arrived 40 minutes after it was scheduled and was delivered cold by Doordash, the vendor selected by the restaurant. When we called Sidelines to complain about the delivery, we were advised that Doordash is responsible and that we should call them. After contacting Doordash and filing a complaint, they assured us that our money would be refunded but that since our order was placed through the Sidelines point of sale system that Sidelines would have to refund our money. We again contacted the Sidelines management and spoke to a Scott, who abruptly advised us that they had "no fiduciary responsibility" to us since Door dash was the delivery agent. Nowhere on Sidelines website for deliveries does it make any mention of Doordash. Such poor rude service. We will never make the mistake of patronizing them again, in person or takeout. read more

I used to enjoy coming here, and I usually don't go to bars, but I thought Sidelines Grill was more of a family environment, but not anymore. I had gone there multiple times and was dissatisfied with their food. Last time I went, I got nachos, and those nachos had barely anything on them. I was thinking Moe's restaurant was right next door. Another time I went, I ended up getting their fish and chips; the fish was overcooked and burned at the ends; the food is just horrible; it's becoming more of a bar than a restaurant. Best wings I've had in a while! Cooked just right, plenty of meat along with nice portion of fresh celery/carrots/blue cheese. I ordered (5) xxx Hot and (5) Fat Daddy. I think they made a mistake on my order, because the xxx Hot were not hot at all, but I'm giving them a pass because we all make mistakes and they were super tasty anyway. Please beware! I'd been going there forever. One day when checking my bank account, I noticed a message on my phone indicating my charge from Sidelines had gone through. They put it through a 40% tip on my pick up order! When I asked the manager about this, I was told "None of my staff would do this" - yet, there it was. Someone did. I started going to another location and what happens? Right out of the gate they told me they needed to hand-key my info into the hand-held device because they were 'having problems with the system'. I was uncomfortable, yet I had no cash on me, so I agreed--against my better judgment. I kept an eye on my account, and continued going to the second location, all the while watchful. The next time I paid, they asked if I'd like a receipt emailed to me. I'd been keeping them to prove that I authorized NO tip. Guess what? Conveniently, there's no notation on the E-receipt showing that you declined adding a tip. So if they put through something after you leave (as they did before) there's no way to prove it. (I don't tip because no 'service' is provided on take-out as there is in table service. I am very firm about this.) The next night, while picking up my order and walking back to the car, my phone dings. Six (6!) authorizations for the amount of my pick up order were put through ... and, get this ... for a date in the future! Tonight I got a text saying that 'a new card has been linked to your loyalty account' --- with a third-party restaurant service called Toast. I was livid! I never authorized anyone saving my card in an electronic payment system in the first place (I always walk in and pay), nor was I ever asked to be placed on a loyalty program. (Do some internet research about how unsecure third party restaurant services are!) Also, I found it curious that some locations have private ATMs located by the front door. Do another internet search on how unsecure private ATMs are. Hint: ATM owners can install skimmers and get your credit card information. By the the way, the six 'pre-authorizations' on my card WERE converted and processed as three duplicate charges--for the same day!--on my bank account after the authorizations fell off. If you go there, you need to pay in cash. Giving them an over-abundance of the benefit of the doubt, I'll end by saying that perhaps (eye roll) these were all systems glitches. If there's not monkey business going on with the systems and employees, it certainly looks like there's rampant incompetent business practices. Running credit card settlements at the end of each business day is Rule Number One in business management and fraud prevention. It doesn't appear they understand this at Sidelines. Why? read more

We have eaten at sidelines several times in the past and only had bad service once, but tonight takes the cake. Arrived early for dinner, @4:45... only a couple of other patrons in the restaurant. Got drinks and ordered. 45 minutes later, we left, as we had still not received our order, and only two of the tables seated when we arrived had been served. There was No contact with the server whatsoever after bringing our drinks until I flagged him down and asked what was going on. There were numerous servers standing around and going in and out of the kitchen, so no one was busy. When he said our order would be right out - but then mentioned they were out of gravy for the chopped steak,... we left. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant and it's staff. We came in with a very large party yesterday and they handled it like pros. They stayed calm, organized, and I noticed the entire staff all helping each other. The kitchen crew was kicking out HOT, delicious food to the entire restaurant like their lives depended on it. Good is mediocre and have out up with still today. As we were kidding around with a trainee on the bar Grace. And her trainer Kayla. Took exception to loud kidding and told manager a blatant lie that we called it a selfish pour. So the manager asked us to leave. And we go there 4 or 5 times a week spend about almost $2000 a month there. Plus we have watched Kayla pour much stronger drinks to her fiends and favorites. So watch what you say and enjoy weak drinks there and people who do not care about their regulars.
