It was delivered within 4 minutes of ordering and the eggs were just as ordered, the breakfast potatoes had a crispness, the biscuit was good, and the bacon had nice flavor (but more the chewy versus crisp style). The waitress frequently checked at the table to ensure I had no outstanding needs. The dining area has a variety of seating: bar, booths, tables, and even a sizeable outdoor covered patio. There is a sign posted on the door notifying customers that ALL orders are charged a special fee. I find that a bit irritating, but I guess it saves them from having to reprint the menus. And it amounted to 54 cents in my case. I opted for the Spinach & Bacon skillet but asked for no bacon. It also comes with sun-dried tomato, bleu cheese, two eggs, and a side of biscuit. The skillet was tasty and came with a generous portion of veggies. However, I would have preferred the spinach to be cooked some more, but it didn't ruin the entree for me. I come here very often, the food is good and the service is okay. Not great, but it works. The past 3 times I have been have been less than optimal. I usually sit at the bar, or at the booth next to it. The past 3 times I have heard kitchen staff and servers yelling at each other, or cursing at each other. Not to say I am a saint but I am not a huge fan hearing it right behind me while I am eating. The yelling is usually about running food or how much money the restaurant is making this morning, or how much the last tip was. Totally fine conversation to have, but not yelled across the room. My main complaint is the persistent cussing, at each other. Sometimes it's banter but others its actual frustration. The bacon was ok...one piece was crispy the other not, but both tasted great. The eggs were scrambled perfectly and the grits were fine. The Blueberry Crunchcake was fantastic and had a hearty portion of blueberries and granola within and topped with more granola for crunch. And finally the Corned Beef Hash was excellent prepared and was perfectly crisped! I loved it. Always had a good experience at this chain. So when I seen they opened up a new one here in Canton on Riverstone Pkwy, I had to give it a try. They didn't disappoint as it was a very delightful Sunday morning experience. They have an awesome array of breakfast and lunch menu items but I just went with the traditional eggs, bacon, hash browns, juice, toast and coffee which was delicious. A very clean and open concept with very friendly and well trained staff. I love how they painted the ceiling sky blue instead of the traditional black. This morning I was able to try J. Christopher in Canton , GA for the very first time. When we walked in we are immediately greeted by a host or hostess to seat you. Or you can walk to the back bar area and order at the counter. We did the latter because we had a 15 minute oil change on our car. I pleasantly placed our order and then began to look around at all the photographs and artwork on the walls. I was a bit impressed with what was selected for this particular location. You'll have to stop by and see for yourself. The staff is friendly and very welcoming. I love the nostalgia of this dinner it feels like your back in the 50s with a few modern touches. The food- well it's a good menu with some exceptional choices. I dove into a BELT(bacon, egg, lettuce, and tomato) with cheese on wheat served with fried squared perfectly cooked potatoes. My husband had the Irish oatmeal, it's loaded with raisins, cinnamon and milk. They filled a large foam cup with this deliciousness. He also had a very buttery biscuit that melted in our mouths. They offer indoor and a small outdoor patio area. If your ever near the shopping plaza stop by, they were showcased on Atlanta Eats as a top spot to dine. Open 7 days a week 7am until 2 pm. Jonathan our server did an amazing job making sure my wife and I were taken care of, we showed up near the last 20 minutes but Jonathan didn't let down he made sure our food was still up to quality in a timely manner. The rest of the staff like the hosts did great in accommodating us and fulfilled our requests. As for the manager she came to our table and made sure everything was in tip top condition with the upmost southern hospitality, we didn't catch her name but we will be back. As for the ambiance I loved all the selections of different paintings I noticed Van Gogh's art pieces on the walls Wich may be personal but still a nice touch. Was very good. Came with my dad visiting for Thanksgiving and was a good choice to talk and eat. Very good atmosphere, they did let you know they were low staffed, but the food quality was still there. Got the Cajun Skillet and it was so amazing. Everything in the dish married well and the grits with it was an amazing touch. I got poached eggs and wheat toast instead of sunny side up and a biscuit and was still amazing. Second visit here was enough to decide I won't be back. Our group of 5 people waited 20 minutes to order. And while the food itself is fine, it's not worth the aggravation of slow and/or undermanned/undertrained staff. Catsup bottles on our table were both empty. Coffee creamers on the table are artificial flavored kind. We had to ask for milk/cream in small amounts, and then what was brought was insufficient for all of us. Coffee pot was empty and no staff came by for a refill; needed to carry it to the counter to get a refill. Saw this place originally onYelp & took a chance for breakfast. It's situated in an easy to access area which was very nice coming off 575. The food we had was very good especially the biscuits! Our waitress, Haiti, (sorry if misspelled) was wonderful. She was attentive, polite and her attitude was refreshingly sweet. All the staff we encountered from the time we entered had the same pleasant demeanor. This is by far our favorite breakfast spot. We have never had a bad experience at this location and we come every Saturday. The service is top notch, the food is always hot and cooked perfectly (which can be tricky with other places with the hubs always wanting steak and eggs) and the specials, omg! Have dined here 3-4 times in the past 4 months and each time found every item ordered was as advertised. The servers, some young but well trained, were knowledgeable and courteous. Met the manager Angel who was there to insure we were satisfied with our orders. He's a very hands on manager and seems to be building a good eating alternative for us. Good menu with season changes which is great and allows you to try the new items. As with all restaurants good help is hard to find and serve time can be delayed but I've found your not forgotten at this J. Christopher's in Canton. read more

I ordered two poached eggs on an English muffin (which was barely toasted or warm)with a side of hollandaise with potatoes. I was charged as a regular Benedict at $12.96. $3.79 for a mediocre warm coffee. $18 for basically a two egg breakfast. There were 8 servers for no customers. Wow!!! I should have known the disappointment the minute I walked in. The sign said "Wait to be Seated", so I did. After watching the entire wait and kitchen staff stare at me for five minutes, I turned around to leave when I was stopped by a server. They finally sat me and I ordered a simple breakfast. The order was scrambled eggs with cheese, "Crispy Bacon" and an english muffin. When my order arrived, the eggs had no cheese and looked as if they came from buffet tray. The edges were a dark yellow like they had been sitting out for some time. The "Crispy Bacon" looked as if it just came off the pig. The english muffin was barely toasted and was not even buttered. I forgot to mention that the order came out on three different plate, like they were side orders. The server finally came order and asked how everything was. I told her it was disgusting and to take it away. Moments later she came back and said she took it off the bill. I wasn't going to pay for it anyway! At some point the manager should have come over to find out what happened but never did. You know I'm tired of hearing that the restaurant business was severely impacted by Covid but that's not true in all cases. There was more than enough staff at this restaurant at the time of this incident. Three employees were just standing around talking to each other. If there was a manager there, they were invisible. This restaurant should invest more time in training their employees and as for the manager, they should be fired! read more

I waited several weeks to post this review because I wanted to calm down before explaining exactly what took place. I ordered a Savory Chicken Crepe and found a white hair in my food. When I asked to speak to the Manager, he sent a message with our sweet waitress "mansplaining" that all the kitchen workers wore hair nets, hats and all had dark hair, as to somehow insinuate that I planted the hair in my own food. When the manager (his name was strange otherwise I would have listed it) finally came over, he had an attitude and again, made it sound like I put the hair in my own food. I had two other friends with me and neither of them finished their meal due to the disgusting situation. He took off the price of my meal but didn't not do the same for me friends. I had high hopes for this new restaurant but it completely disappointed everyone. A little bit of kindness would have gone a long way. The manager could have easily turned things around. Most disappointing experience I've ever had. There were 3 servers, and only 2 tables including us there. I've gone to the one in Woodstock multiple times and received good food as well as service. The canton location was quite possibly the worst service experience I've had in the past 5 years. Our server was completely absent, he took our drink order didn't give us straws after being asked for some, we waited for 15 mins before he took our food order. He got my friends order wrong, but didn't deliver the food, another server did, not once checked on us, had to look for him to get our check after finishing our meal for 10 minutes. Never got a refill. I recommend youskip this spot and go to Woodstock. read more
