Even though online booking wouldn't let me book all my dates together in a single booking, I was able to sort it out with the receptionist to stay in the same room rather than having to switch. The only caveat was that I needed to come back to the desk in the morning for them to check me out and in and re-initiate my room key. The buffet breakfast here is nicer than some other breakfast buffets I've had. There is a variety of hot foods like scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, and sausages. There's cereal, oatmeal, milk, yogurt, breakfast pastries (bagels, bread, muffins, scones), and some fresh fruit. Our room was comfortable. No complaints there. For any toiletries you might have forgotten, you can ask for complimentary ones at the front desk. A nice option to stay at if you are in town and need accommodations for your stay!

She and 5 of her friends were guided to the Venetian and since we had a cancellation due to illness, I enjoyed a solo high tea in the Buckingham across the hall. The Grande has an extensive tea menu from black teas to herbal to rooibos. They light a delightful warmer at your table to keep your tea heated. The soup and salad came first. It was all absolutely delicious. Fresh pear adorned the mixed fields greens and the tomato soup had a dash of creme fraiche. Even the teens raved about them! The tower of finger sandwiches and desserts was also thoughtfully curated and delicious. The egg salad, pimento cheese and scones were so fresh! All of it was! The girls were able to each have their own tea pot and treats. In the Looking Glass room, they had a backdrop with props as well. It really was so lovely. Don't think about it- just go!

As a fun flash back, my girlfriends and I decided to play BINGO one rainy Saturday night and boy has it changed! I understand you're not allowed to talk above a whisper considering some people were hard of hearing, but I was asking a question using my inside voice and I was called out via loud speaker! The entire room was silent, no one laughing, making small talk or sharing tips-it was sad! I remember when the building was filled with people all enjoying themselves now it was stiff and very proper...it's BINGO people!! Not the Republican debate. It was fun to go back to the little hall I once spent many Saturday evenings at. I just wish the fun of it all wasn't gone and replaced with a rigid library tone. Bring back Joanne Agee as President!
