    Rock Barn

    Rock Barn

Rock Barn or The Crescent Farm Historical Center was built in 1906 and according to The Cherokee…read moreCounty Historical Society it is believed to be the only surviving Rock barn in existence. It's one of six places in Cherokee county listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's next to the Canton Elementary School and Cherokee High School. There is a Bruster's Ice Cream nearby. From the outside it's got this modern industrial rustic cool vibe to it....now don't take this the wrong way but as a Walking Dead fan... the entire time I was here I felt like Darrell in that scene where he first discovers Hershel and his family have been keeping "walkers" inside the barn on the property.... So now that I've put visuals in your head of zombies...lets talk about this place as an event venue....first off the place can be rented for events, weddings and sorts. You do have to be a member of The Cherokee Historical Society and their membership is about $25.00 for an individual...which I'm all for because these guys really work hard to promote and preserve buildings of the past. The rental fees are on their website but it looks very reasonable. From $300 to $1200 depending on what day you want to rent it... Even if you don't rent it personally I think it's a cool looking barn and not a bad place for a photo opt....Walking Dead style....

I know 3 who have this location reserved with deposits for their upcoming weddings and they all have the same issue. No response to important questions or requests. Something as simple as providing the contract and receipt of down payment for which the bride was told she would receive "immediately". That was more than 2 weeks ago. Beware, if you want a no stress venue, this may not be it. The complete lack of communication will undoubtedly cause issue's for your planning and a ton of unecessary stress.

Venue 92 was nothing short of amazing for my husband and I's wedding day! The place was already…read moremore than halfway ready by the time I arrived early that morning. The attention to detail was not missed. Not only was the bride getting ready area spacious, the groom and his groomsmen had their own space as well, where they were able to watch tv and play corn hole. We both felt very special, there was not a hiccup that day, and we felt completely taken care of. The vendors we were able to use along with the staff for the wedding, were not only amazing, but they made things go smoothly! We received so many compliments from family and friends about the day! We recommend a wedding and reception to be had there any day!

I attended a wedding reception at Venue 92 and was absolutely impressed by this venue... As I drove…read moreup, the parking lot seemed super small, however, the staff had a design plan that was perfect and ensured everyone had a place to park. The upstairs is a super open floor plan with rooms off to the side. This was ideal as the Bride and Groom had their personal areas which were hugeeeeeee. As they were getting ready the open area was equipped with a portable bar and multiple hi-top tables. Omg! It was so cute. We were able to mingle and take pictures as we awaited the specified time to move to the downstairs area. Once downstairs, the room is hugeeeeeeee. It was perfectly decorated and afforded a sense of style, elegance and amazing ambiance. Once the guests were seated, the bride and groom began to walk down the stairs. When I tell you this room was MADE for such an entrance as this, it was spot on. There is a bar to the front and the main area is a blank canvas which allows you to set it up how you would like. Brea had it sit with a sit down eating space and a dance floor towards the back area. Based on my experience at Venue 92, it has been added to my venue list as the options of use for this space seem endless.
