But once we started working with Leigh Vaughan from Saratoga Events, we KNEW we'd made the right choice. She couldn't have been more welcoming, enthusiastic or helpful, which made all the difference for us as a gay couple and since we were planning our wedding from out of town. The House, with its adjoining deck and enclosed historic Pavilion, were perfect for having the ceremony and reception in one location, and the convenience of working with Saratoga Events and Avenue Catering made planning a snap. Leigh had ready recommendations for any other vendors we might need, checklists to help with our planning, and obviously a wealth of experience in putting together flawless events. The food was delicious, with lots of options to choose from, including formal sit down or buffet and cocktail style. We had so many compliments on the charming, intimate atmosphere and pleasant service. Since I work in the preservation field, having the historic house for our guests to enjoy before and after the ceremony made it particularly special. I would highly recommend the Pace House for anyone planning a small to mid-sized wedding in the Atlanta area!

But the best part was it was one stop shopping. Joanne helped her plan everything - DJ, florist, cake, signage, bar... you name it, she provided and she was very fair with her pricing. She made my sister feel special and removed the anxiety she was feeling from planning from a distance. The day of the reception Kandise and Grace stepped right in to make sure all our needs were met. Everything was perfect and people couldn't stop talking about how nice the venue was. They really planned everything for her and kept the evening moving. The food was yummy and the cake was amazing. Thank you for a job well done. It was worth every penny ... champagne toasts. Bubbles and sparklers !

Virtually a one stop shop - Stress reducer for sure!…read more Upon meeting with Joanne for our tour, we fell in love with the facility. They do a great job of helping you set expectations, and they handle basically everything except for a photographer and your favors. They are incredibly kind. Being a same sex couple we did not know what to expect. The Conservatory did an amazing job of treating us like everyone else, even going as far as editing their forms to groom/groom. We were treated like any other opposite sex couple and to us, that meant more than anything. They are clear and concise in what is included, what it will cost and there are NO surprises at the end. They made our day special. We were not rushed the day of, and the coordinators took special care of my husband and I as well as our family. If you're going in not sure what to expect, or if you know exactly what you want, the people here are amazing. They also provide the catering, and the food was top notch. The service provided was excellent. They sent us with lovely to go boxes of food, and a bottle of the delicious champagne from our toast.

My wedding at Flint Hill had two different stories: The wedding day was fantastic, but the planning…read morewas a nightmare. I suspect the positive reviews reflect the former. I will share advice that I wish I had received before making a 50% deposit. My rating is based on the planning. The day of would get 4 stars. - We were glad we had an outside wedding planner to be our ally. If you've never planned an event like this, you might not realize that you can easily be taken advantage of. - They provide a lot of staff on the day of the event, but some of them were people we had never met. We had an eight-minute call with our "Day of Reception Director" the week before the wedding. She is a part-time (weekends) employee who doesn't even have a company email address. - We were dazzled by Melissa's sales pitch. She spent 2 hours with us when we came in for a tour and it was great. We thought she would be a great ally in this process. She was super friendly and helpful through the contract process until we paid 50%. - We needed to read every version of the updated invoice to catch price changes. The price of our dessert was $9 until one day it was $9.50. They charged us $150 for early arrival with a $150 credit to cancel it out. One day that credit had changed from $150 to $2. Laura from the design studio "accidentally" increased the price of some tablecloths by $5 each. - Their contracts sometimes expire after two days, and they said we needed to sign before getting answers to our questions. This happened with 2 contract addendums. We asked questions. Melissa said "Any specific detail changes to this contract will be handled in the extended planning sessions." - They marginalized me while behaving towards my husband. We had a recurrent problem where I would send an email, no response, husband reminds them, and they respond quickly. One time they ignored my email for five days. When he replied to my note, they responded to him within the hour. I don't know if it's because he's a man, he makes more money than I do, or they simply didn't like me. - If we didn't get it in writing, they often denied it. There are numerous topics that I am certain we discussed verbally but unfortunately I didn't have it in writing. With the issue mentioned above, they insisted we never discussed it, and they only agreed to do it because we found written confirmation. - We needed to spend at least $2,000 at their design studio, but we didn't have any trouble exceeding the minimum. We had very minimal design requirements, brought in an outside florist for the bouquets, and our initial quote was over $1,900, not counting the $700 tablecloth rental. - Menu changes come with an upcharge. You only get to put out one salad dressing. If you want your guests to have a choice, there is an $0.50 per person. Mashed potatoes come with no toppings. Want to add something as simple as sour cream or chives? One dollar per person for each topping. - We paid more than 80% of the adult rate for children aged 4-9. Children starting at age 10 are charged full price. The menu says "reduced rate" for children, but the aren't mentioned until much later in the process. They get a 20% discount on the base price for the buffet, but they are full price for drinks, dessert, and add-ons. I don't know if they would also be charged 100% for drink packages with alcohol. - We had to convince them to let us have a menu tasting. They offered us a "tasting box" with six items from another event's menu but only one or two from our menu. None of these options had our main dishes included. They said the point of a tasting box is to understand the quality of the food, not our specific menu. I want to thank Kristin, the CEO, for her help. Two months before our wedding, she allowed us to switch from the Atrium to Flint Hill (for a cost of $3,500) The change in venue couldn't fix corporate policies and staff difficulties though. I can honestly say that planning this wedding was one of the worst experiences of my life. Good luck, future brides and grooms.

But if you're looking to have an event here, they do offer tours so check out their site for availability. Parking: The parking available on the venue is on gravel. Vibe: The flowers and greenery around the entire venue were beautiful. I loved how seamless the venue, bridal suite, and reception area flowed. The bridal suite is so big and has a large kitchen area with a fridge; a living room area with a couch and several chairs; a bathroom with a shower; a room that was used for hair & make up; and a front and back porch. The main venue space has a downstairs space that was used as both the reception area and the dance floor. I enjoyed celebrating my friends at this beautiful spot! I attended a wedding earlier this month (August 2021) at The Wildflower Barn at Little River. I had…read morea great time. For my wife and me, it was our first wedding since November 2019 (pre-COVID). Personally, the vaccines have been a game-changer for us and we felt comfortable at this indoor-outdoor gathering of about 90-95 people. Plus, we didn't want to miss this. We came in from out of state to make it. At first, I got The Wildflower Barn at Little River confused with Little River Farms, the wedding and special events venue next door. The two venues, plus Brick & Ivey in Marietta, are owned and operated by the same group. I believe there was another wedding going on at Little River Farms at the same time because when I pulled up to The Wildflower Barn at Little River, there were folks with signs directing people which way to go depending on which couple's wedding they were attending. The parking was valet in a gravel driveway and parking lot, which I was not expecting. The valet guys were nice and did a good job. The ceremony was held outside, unplugged. The cocktail hour was held inside and outside. The dinner reception was held inside the barn. And there was a beautiful lantern send-off outside, the way we came in. Everything was well-organized and went off without a hitch, as far as I could tell. For an event with about 90-95 people, I thought the size of The Wildflower Barn at Little River was appropriate. Over 100, I suspect it may start feeling tight. Overall, I thought the venue was beautiful, particularly the outside with all the plants and well-manicured landscaping, whimsical string lighting, and farm feel. Inside, the reception space felt open and modern. The space was very well lit and also well ventilated and air conditioned. At the reception dinner, a served buffet was catered by Southern Charmed Catering by Little River Farms. I thought the food was delicious. It consisted of a fresh spring mix salad with choice of honey balsamic or ranch dressing, green beans amandine, whipped buttermilk potatoes, mesquite-grilled chicken breast, pork chops with maple bourbon beurre blanc with sweet and spicy BBQ sauces, and dinner rolls. During cocktail hour, there were two hors d'oeuvres, chicken satay (skewers) and crab rangoon. During both the cocktail hour and reception, there were two open bars, one inside and one outside. King of Pops was on-site as was Pearl's Tea of Suwanee (bubble tea). Robot Booth provided the fun photo booth and DJ Rylan with DJ Cuttlefish, the team of DJs associated with Robot Booth, was the emcee and provided the music (playlist by the bride). I was told the wedding cake was by Angel Bakery, located inside Hong Kong Supermarket in Norcross, and additional dessert cake was provided by Nothing Bundt Cakes. I was familiar with all of the vendors except for Angel Bakery which I think is well-known among the Asian (specifically, Vietnamese) community in Gwinnett. The cake was excellent. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves at The Wildflower Barn at Little River. I think it's an ideal wedding venue depending on what you're going for.

Joi is very to the point and passionate about what she does. I will admit I was nervous because I don't have a strong personality and her's is very strong but I am SO happy we choose to go with this location and Tamzen + Joi. First of all the location was perfect and the grounds are amazing. Through the entire experience, everything was taken care of most importantly the day of... About a week before the wedding a cold front was supposed to come in on our day and we had not prepped for this. Joi called me directly and came up with a plan to use some extra tents along with the walls to them. The day was PERFECT. Everything ran smoothly and the "moments" she creates for you are things you can't comprehend because you are so busy with everything else! The vendors they partner with and the ability to have everything in one spot was really great as well. I can't say anything bad about our day. Our friends still rave about it and I will never forget it!

However, this coming from a maid of honor's perspective, I fully enjoyed myself at the wedding ceremony and reception I took part in last July. The venue is beautiful, the food was good, and service was excellent for the most part. I would like to say on Joi's behalf that although she has an abrasive personality and probably could handle things with a little more of a softer touch, she really came through for me when I needed a hand. I am not sure if it was the heat, or some health conditions I have, but I almost passed out during the photo portion after the ceremony. Joi came rushing to my aid even though I did not even request her help. She got me food and water immediately and sent someone out to get cold towels to put on my shoulders as I was looking pale and overheating. She got me to sit down and rest and pretty much catered to me until I was feeling more stable. If it had not been for her noticing my loss of color and just ill appearance, as well as her quick action, I might have had to go to the hospital. So I really appreciate her attentiveness and that she took care of me when everyone else was so busy and distracted. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get married in the area and just perhaps not take anything Joi says to heart, especially knowing that she has such a compassionate, caring nature underneath her tough exterior.

A lot of things look like they needed an upgrade and appeared to be lacking on maintenance. They try to get you out of there fast while everyone was still enjoying the wedding. I get that they want everybody out by a certain time but if you are renting the space out till a time don't start packing up chairs and tables till that time. On top of that no liquor is allowed on the premises, can't have the music to loud/with expletives, and a whole lot of other rules. You are suppose to be the reception space where people celebrate and enjoy each other's company. I personally will never recommend these guys to anyone wanting an outdoor space or just wanting to enjoy weddings or other events that they may host.
