There's nothing they didn't do- Rose Hall ladies Amanda and Megan, wedding coordinators. They didn't skip a beat and my son had the best day of his life because of them! They were very attentive to the bride and groom, the parties and the family. You never had to wonder where they were to ask for something because they stayed close. This was our fourth child's wedding and this was by far the one the least stressful. This venue is so beautiful. Looks like those old homes in Savannah Georgia is what it reminded me of. Food was good! Cake was delicious!! Oh and the chicken buffalo dip was my favorite! Sweet Carley did a great job serving drinks! She served with a smile. The DJ was awesome as well. Brennan? Had the folks on the dance floor cutting a rug! It's was such a great day. Thank yall again. Lisa we just love your venue!

The space is gorgeous and oh so charming!…read more I attended a wedding here this past weekend and was very pleasantly surprised.. I feel like I haven't seen anything like this up in Jersey. Plenty of parking... outside wedding ... thank God for no rain.. birds were the background soundtrack to this day, which was wonderful. I like how you can walk right from the ceremony to the lower covered section for the reception. Since it was summer in GA, the huge fans helped with that thick heat. The only thing is... some of the attendants were not giving that Southern charm that I was expecting. Not even cracking a smile... the bartenders were friendly enough... but even their warmth couldn't make up for the disappointment of having only beer and wine as options (LOL). Food was decent, nothing to write home about.. except those wonderfully sweet yeast rolls and some of the best shrimp cocktail I've ever eaten. Yassss! The ambiance at Rose Hall is right up my alley... was impressed.

My mother has terminal cancer and we ended up having to get married a year earlier than we planned so we were stressing about finding a venue that could put together our dream wedding in 5 months. We almost settled and gave up on that dream wedding until we found The Cotton Gin. I still have no idea how they pulled it off so seamlessly. The Cotton Gin went above and beyond to make the whole day smooth for both my mom and us. When they say "all inclusive" they mean it. I did not lift a single finger for coordinating vendors, stressing about timing, or anything that usually causes stress for brides. I was calm the whole day and if any anxiety arose at any point in the process, the staff reassured me and was proactive in accommodating anything I needed. The owner Amanda is a creative genius and you can tell she loves what she does. Her goal is to give all brides a dream wedding that fits their budget. You can tell that she put careful thought into choosing staff that has the same passion and vision. Truly I feel like I made bonds with the staff that will last a life time. All of my guests gave extremely positive feedback about their experience! Also, the food was literally a 5 star dining experience. I am going to be craving their salmon and stuffed mushrooms for the rest of my life. I wish I could get married to my husband again and again so I can give The Cotton Gin more of my business!!

Staff was very calm and professional and kept the appetizers coming. Bar offered a lot of interesting drinks. The venue itself is gorgeous with very little of your own decorating needed. They literally took care of everything it seemed. Lots of places to take pictures. We had beef mashed potatoes and asparagus, which came out temperature hot and well seasoned. The shrimp and grits for the appetizer was delicious and the presentation of the cheeses was wonderful. A beautiful, intimate and cozy place with a couple levels, including a dance floor. I would highly recommend this place if you're interested in having a wedding reception.

The owner was very nice and assured us that bringing our own mixed alcoholic punch would be fine, he actually recommended this. The day of the baby shower (after he had our money) everything changed he did not allow us to use the punch and had the audacity to tell me that he never agreed to the punch (LIES - we had multiple conversations about the punch) & then he had the nerve to threaten us if he got a fine due to the punch. His exact words were "if I lose my liquor license or get a fine, you are going down with me" Who runs a business and talks to paying customers in this way?? I don't want to pull the race card but I can't help but think he would NOT deal with white customers in this way. We are young black and very respectful - we paid and were nothing but professional. Long story short we used the punch with NO ISSUES no fights broke out no one was shot no police came out. But I would not recommend this space to anyone. THE OWNER IS UNPROFESSIONAL & DOES NOT STAND BEHIND HIS WORD! BEWARE!

Update: The wedding went very well. Good thing it didn't rain and all the rain happened earlier in the week before the wedding. The wedding was a combined Indian and American wedding. The area was available to setup the Mandap which is the center stage for the Indian wedding. The groom and I with the rest of their families helped setup the place. We added some lighting as well. At a clear night, you can see all the stars. It was a spectacular view to end the night. Make sure you download a good star gazing app to know the constellations. I'd like to start out by saying, the venue is beautiful…read more That, is really the only positive aspect of this location. The staff was unprepared, unprofessional and incredibly flippant when issues were brought to their attention. The mother of the bride was interrupted and called away from her daughter(the bride)several times to deal with details that had been discussed 3 separate times, after 3 two-hour long distance trips to this location. Details that had been meticulously discussed during numerous emails, phone calls and and written down with several people (including the owner/planner). The owner/planner apparently never attends the events, but instead places a "stand-in planner" to take her place. ...This was never discussed with us.... Somehow, our spectacularly detailed emails, plans and itinerary did NOT get passed along to the stand-in planner! GUESTS were actually called upon by the same uninformed staff members to help place things, answer questions and direct as to where the items should go! When confronted with our concerns, the stand-in planner blatantly stated that "the owner does this all the time and they never gave her the details" What??? Then, Why did we pay for a planner??? Why did we drive 2 hours on 3 different trips to have wedding-planning-meetings????? The passing-the-blame situation caused for the mother of the bride to miss sweet moments (dressing her daughter in her wedding dress) and her father to miss her send off with sparklers from the wedding (he was asked to move his truck) , memories this family can NEVER get back. According to the stand-in planner these types of situations have been the norm at this venue. I suggest that this venue gets its act together, so no other family has to needlessly stress on such a special day, as we did. I'm saddened that this happened to my family, so many people came from all corners of Georgia, to be here for our special day, and unfortunately what was remembered from this day, was stress, anger and broken promises. P.S hire your own planner and bring them with you to be safe!

We enjoyed visiting the Booth Western Museum but found that there was not much to the downtown area except they have an interesting number of art galleries and attorneys.
