I strongly recommend that you contact them and have your next event here. One suggestion though, pave that parking lot area. That meant so much to us. Our ceremony and celebration felt so meaningful, and so many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was. The property was well appointed and our room named The Vineyard Suite featured the most comfortable bed and sitting area with a spa style bathroom with large walk in shower and claw foot soaking tub. We took advantage of the home cooked Filet Mignon dinner which allowed us to get to know the property and the owners. The meal was delicious and with the homes great room area with soaring windows allowing you to take in the natural surroundings it was perfect! The covered lanai was perfect for enjoying a glass of wine or cup of coffee and watching the humming birds fly around their feeders. Breakfast was another wonderful experience chef style creations and delicious coffees. I highly recommend the bourbon infused one. A short walk across the lawn takes you to their winery, Carin Winery with a comfortable feel, large wrap around porch, large air conditioned space with tables and bar and a great selection of wine, beer and snacks. They even have rooms above the winery space, too. This would make a great place for a family reunion or couples get away. The two weeping willow trees on the property are not only an ideal backdrop but inspire one of their wines also. The location while secluded but is convenient to Ellijay, Amicalola State Park, neighboring wineries, waterfalls and adventures. We'll be back!

Our interaction with Brent and his mom (Miss Mary) were great, and I will say, I think it was an extra treat to experience the hospitality of Miss Mary!! Clearly, Brent didn't fall far from the tree (no pun intended)! We booked the 'Rustic Cabin Suite' which was their lowest price room available at the time, but it was well furnished, comfortable, quiet, and perfect for a place to stay for two. It was quiet, peaceful, and tranquil. Don't forget to take advantage of the Carin winery next door, and I hear (we missed out) the lodge offers an add on steak dinner (plan in advance) that sounds divine, and in that environment, will be on our list for our next visit! The lodge itself is well-appointed with a beautiful seating/gathering/eating area downstairs. Breakfast was great with a menu of French toast and apple bake, sausage, fresh fruit, orange juice and some of the best flavored coffee I've had in a LONG time (bourbon infused pecan). Beautiful grounds, beautiful people (Brent, Miss Mary, and fellow guests) and you can't go wrong with a stay at the beautiful Bent Tree Lodge and Vineyard!!

We always enjoy stopping by the visitor's center to obtain additional information. It is fairly self-serve so you can just walk in and select the information that you need. A staff member did come in to see if we needed assistance but we were fine. It is a cute little office with plenty of seating so you can take a break from touring. Take time to stop in and say hey. We enjoyed visiting the Booth Western Museum but found that there was not much to the downtown area except they have an interesting number of art galleries and attorneys. I think the coolest aspects of the town are the trains that frequently pass through and the quaint little places to eat. The one place that should have been open, (according to posted hours) but wasn't, was the bakery. Shame on you! Maybe next time.

We only paid for a half hour to try it out this first time, due to the time of night and it being unexpected. Our timing allowed us the chance to take turns for about 4-5 rounds with 3 people and make it through almost one full game before we were out of time. Overall, it was a fun family-friendly activity.
