We got a medium stuffed pizza. It feed me for two days. The owner was very nice. None of the appetizers we got were very good, but this delicious pizza was worth the trip

Family owned pizza place. Saw the stuffed pizza on TikTok. Was good. Had a little confusion with the menu and she charged me but she ended up taking it off. Original- mushroom with one or the other zucchini OR spinach. I just got zucchini and spinach. Thought u can have all, but I don't like mushrooms. (Probably was my fault because I'm in a totally different state lol). Pizza crust was great!! Tons of cheese with great stretch lol. I'd order it again but with different toppings. Also tried my friends Alfredo, it was yummy! Creamy without being greasy!!

Great pizza! We ordered two stuffed pies--one cheese and one meat lovers. Both were delicious, but the meat lovers was truly out of this world with incredible flavor. They are not shy with the amount of cheese and toppings they use. The only thing I'd change is adding a bit more flavor to the crust. Whoever answered the phone when I called was very helpful in helping me decide what sizes I needed.

We got take out from there. The pizza has lots of toppings and crust was perfect.

We got a Pizza to go. It was delivered. It was very good. I had never gotten Pizza from here before. We got the usual cheese and pepperoni. There was plenty of cheese, toppings and sauce and no odd gamey, tasting pepperoni, like some places have. They cut the pieces in kind of in odd shape, so they're kind of like squares of pizza because they cut them diagonally. Everything was good though I would definitely recommend going there and I will probably go there again.

I planned a group outing here and I was surprised the nice space and setup they had for us- it looked smaller on the outside and I thought we would originally have to do takeout. It was not high pressure with the reservation, where I was even was able to call the day before and they had our table ready. There was a couple tv's, but they weren't loud so we were able to talk. There were several servers that were very pleasant and patient. They also have booths, for more couples dining. The famous stuffed pizza does take 30 minutes to cook, so we ordered the app trio that has fried zucchini, mushrooms and mozzarella assortment. You can tell it was made to order and fresh. There were pitchers of water on the table so we all kept hydrated without having to ask for refills. We did not feel rushed, yet they were very attentive and the everyone enjoyed their order. Even the baby pizza size, there were leftovers. The pizza was thick as a slice of lasagna. I purposefully ordered the small for leftovers. It will probably freeze well. There were plenty of choices. Even a large selection of sandwiches, salad, soup and pasta- including gluten free option. There is no valet so you have to find street parking or uber. There is a takeout desk that is easily available up front, a full bar with seating. Location on the corner of Atwells Ave and Dean Streets.

Second time at Sicilia's. Third leg of Lord of the Pies. Sometimes you need to go back to a place to really understand what it's doing.. The space hits differently on a return visit. That ornate tin ceiling isn't just decoration. It's the real deal, probably older than half the buildings on Federal Hill. Navy blue booths line the walls, brass chandeliers hang overhead, exposed brick everywhere. It's comfortable without trying to be. The kind of place where you can hear the person across the table no matter how busy it is. Started with the chicken parm sandwich. Thin cutlet, hand breaded, pounded down properly. The bread is excellent. Crusty, crunchy, holds together under pressure. My only gripe is the sauce situation. There's not enough of it. I'm always going to want more sauce, but this legitimately needed it. Comes with a bag of chips. No pretense about what you're getting. Then the pizza. And this is where things get interesting. The crust at Sicilia's does something I haven't seen elsewhere. It's simultaneously flaky and crunchy. Not like pastry flaky. Not cracker crunchy. Something else entirely. Like someone figured out how to cross a deep dish crust with a traditional medium thick slice and landed on this hybrid thing that shouldn't work but does. The cheese is good quality. Not trying to be fancy, just doing its job well. The sauce has actual character. You can taste they've put work into it, maybe roasted the tomatoes, done something beyond just opening a can. Still could use more of it, but what's there brings flavor. Got pepperoni this time. Simple choice, but it lets you see what the pizza actually does. The pepperoni sits on top of all that cheese, good quality stuff that adds some extra spice. The real story is still that crust and how everything works together. The flaky crunchy texture, the cheese doing its stretchy thing, the sauce with enough acid to cut through the richness. Our server was great. Genuinely friendly, attentive, helpful. The kind of service that feels like actual hospitality rather than someone working for tips. She knew what she was doing and seemed to enjoy doing it. Sicilia's has been here since 1988. They're doing their version of pizza in a neighborhood where quality and consistency matters. It's not trying to be cutting edge or innovative. It's just solid, generous, straightforward pizza served by people who care about your satisfaction. It's a nice spot for lunch or dinner done well.

Super friendly bartender, quick service, and really good food. I've been trying to find something that gives me the same pizza vibe as Ned's Pizza in Milwaukee, and this came sooo close. Definitely hit the spot and worth a visit.

As I told the guys around the table, Sicilia's was the go to late night delivery in PVD. I hadn't had it in years, and I had never had their most iconic item. The stuffed pizza. Today, I changed that. I had never stepped foot inside the establishment before. I had always gotten delivery. It was open and bright. It was much nicer than I expected. Plenty of room for seating. Our server was fantastic, waiting patiently and offering guidance as we hemmed and hawed about what we wanted. Finally we sorted it out and made our selections. First, we had the regular pepperoni pizza. The dough was interesting, very soft and almost fell apart when you bit it. A LOT of cheese on this pie (which is a signature move here) but overall tasted like a good pepperoni pizza should Then we had the main event: the Stuffed Pizza. There were a few of us who had limited or no experience with this dish so we went with the classic Original, stuffed with cheese, mushrooms and spinach. When this baby showed up in all its glory, well it is quite the show stopper. At Sicilia's, they always serve your first slice of a stuffed pie. Our server expertly plated our slices, showing off the cheese pull for dramatic effect before sliding the pie server neatly along the edge of the plate for a clean eating experience. I've had other kinds of deep dish pizza before, but this was an entirely new and unique experience for me. The crust was crisp but tender, like a pie crust or a shortbread cookie. The texture of the crunchy crust is exactly what's need to cut through all the soft fillings inside the pizza. The pizza itself was like an elevated version of the spinach pie, a RI staple. But I think my favorite part about the pie was the sauce. I am partial to tomato pies because of the way the sauce tastes when baked openly in an oven. In a Sicilia's stuffed pie, you get that expensive without giving up your cheese and toppings. My only critique is I wish it had more sauce, but that only means I'll be asking for extra sauce the next time I order it. I had a fabulous night out with some dear friends of mine. It was wonderful to be able to experience an old favorite in a new way and it's a good reminder why Sicilia's is the institution she is

We were in the area and were looking for some pasta or pizza and came upon Sicilias. The food was priced well and was very tasty. Everyone in our party got a baby stuffed pizza and we all took a little home. I got the original stuffed pizza and it was delicious. Service was good as well

I ordered a personal stuffed pizza with artichoke, eggplant, mushroom and spinach to go. They didn't skimp on filling and I really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce on top. For me it needed more sauce and maybe ricotta inside to make it creamier but overall It was a great pizza and I'd get it again.

We have friends in the area who had heard of the place, but had never gone, so we made a reservation (2.5 months ahead for a 4 some on a Friday, so it must be special...) and finally got to see what the fuss was about. (Still wondering.) We started with what ended up being a high point, "beets and frites." A very interesting take with a lot of frites, not enough beets (5 slices under the stack), and about 2 tablespoons of the lemon aioli. The few tastes of the 3-part combination were great. The frites, crisp and soooo thin, were good on their own. The olive oil that came with the bread was very green (young), with a strong flavor but I was surprised that there was no pepper grinder. I had the (special) cod, which came with a lazy prep of broccoli rabe and OK potatoes. The fish was cooked well, moist and fresh, but I'm still not sure what the flavorless green topping was. Our table also had oxtail ravioli, which consisted of tasty little purses of thin pasta and nicely flavored meat inside. (Probably the best entree, and gained the second star.) The eggplant was unremarkable in terms of flavor of the sauce, and the veggies that went into it did not seem to be very fresh. For dessert, we had rhubarb peach tart and chocolate bread pudding. The tart was mostly crust and very shy on the rhubarb. The bread pudding apparently used Hershey's chocolate powder which was not a great flavor and left a grainy texture. The server was not very friendly, somewhat pushy, and insisted that we order the dessert when we ordered everything else. Allegedly, this was because the dessert is made to order, but we had the impression that it was to expedite our table time. Even so, with all that "careful planning" only 3 of the 4 entrees made an entry and we waited quite a while for the 4th to show up, even after asking. Overall, not a good experience and not a place I'll plan to revisit.

Our server, Dwight, seemed rushed and inattentive throughout the evening. From the start, we felt like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. We asked if we could move to a nearby table that was already set for eight, as our current table was cramped and located in a very tight walkway where people constantly brushed past us. We were told the table was reserved, yet from the time we arrived just before 6:00 PM until we left at 8:45 PM, no one was ever seated there. It was frustrating, especially since the cramped space made our dining experience uncomfortable. Service overall was lacking. Dwight rarely checked on us, and when we tried to get his attention for drinks or assistance, he would quickly pass by before we had the chance to ask. It often felt like we were bothering him. We were not offered water, and getting additional beverages was unnecessarily difficult. The food itself was just okay, nothing memorable. When we ordered dessert and cappuccino, the cappuccino tasted like it was made with spoiled milk, but again, no one came back to check on us, so we had no opportunity to address it. The most disappointing moment was the birthday acknowledgment. We asked for a dessert with a candle to celebrate an 85th birthday, and instead received a plate with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate, a small amount of whipped cream, and a candle. It was underwhelming and, honestly, a bit embarrassing. We would have gladly paid for a proper dessert. Jacob the busser was the only attentive one there. We have come to Pane e Vino every year for family birthdays because we've always enjoyed the atmosphere, but after this experience, we will not be returning.

Costantino's Venda Bar & Ristorante falls squarely into that second category for me. Years ago, when I was living in Providence, Friday nights often meant a trip to Federal Hill and a pizza from Venda to take home. It became such a regular thing that the drive over felt automatic. Even now, whenever I'm on the Hill and trying to decide where to eat, this is usually one of the first places that comes to mind. I've eaten here enough times that I honestly think I've worked my way through just about everything on the menu. That's not an exaggeration. The impressive part is that I can't think of a meal that left me disappointed. Whether it's pasta, seafood, pizza, or one of their specials, the food is consistently good. In a restaurant business where consistency can be surprisingly hard to find, that's worth recognizing. The wine list deserves a mention of its own. If you're a wine enthusiast, you could spend a lot of time exploring the selections here. I know I certainly have, and I'm afraid to calculate how much money I've spent doing exactly that over the years. No regrets, though. The staff behind the bar know what they're talking about and are always happy to make recommendations. The same goes for the cocktail and spirits selection. Friendly, knowledgeable, and never pretentious. Don't skip dessert, either. Every time I tell myself I'm too full, I somehow end up looking at the dessert menu anyway. One thing I appreciate is the parking situation. Anyone familiar with Federal Hill knows parking can sometimes feel like a competitive sport. The valet service is especially helpful on busy Friday and Saturday evenings. If valet isn't your thing, there are independent lots nearby, and occasionally you'll get lucky and find a spot on the street. During the warmer months, sitting outside in DePasquale Square is one of the best dining experiences in Providence. Good food, a glass of wine, live music drifting through the square, and people enjoying the evening. It's hard not to have a good time. One practical note: I'm a cash guy, so it doesn't affect me personally, but friends have mentioned there's a processing fee when paying by card. Just something to be aware of before the check arrives. It's also a great place to stop for an afternoon drink before heading elsewhere in the city. Whether you're settling in for a full dinner or just grabbing a glass of wine and people-watching for a while, Costantino's Venda Bar & Ristorante continues to be one of the most reliable spots on Federal Hill. Some restaurants have great nights. This place has been delivering great years.
