Kua Kai and Pad Thai Woonsun

Food was really good and one of the best Thai foods in the area! The servers were very sweet and personable as well. The goong sarong was especially memorable and a great appetizer Portion sizes are larger than I expected but its not an issue, just means more leftovers. Ambiance was great too, fairly secluded and calm area. Will be coming back for more whenever the Thai food craving hits again

This is a hidden little gem tucked in the corner of a strip mall. Went on a Thursday for lunch and there was a good crowd. Great service and fast food! We had the lunch combo which included an appetizer, entree and drink for $15. The crab rangoons were fabulous as were the spring rolls. The pot stickers were decent. All of the entrees were great. My daughter thought the Pad Thai lacked the peanut sauce but had a good taste. I had the yellow curry that had just the right amount of spice. If you like Thai food you gotta try this place.

Excellent Thai food spot! The location is a bit odd, but otherwise the place is amazing! Food was next-level and my dish was a Level 5 spice, and i was impressed by just how spicy it was (you never know in a place in freaking Iowa)! Will be back for more delicious Thai food!

An unassuming location hides this gem from anyone not seeking out their fabulous Thai food! I look for flavorful, veggie heavy dishes most often and love that even that narrowed search criteria still allows plenty of options at Siamville. My recent haddock curry dish still had plenty of veggie. Sometimes I crave a noodle dish and the Pad Kee Mao is my go-to. Looking for a comforting curry? You can focus on veggies there too! But above all else the flavors, the quality, the service and freshness are next level for a midwestern ethnic spot. Classic Thai, done well. If you've never been - check them out soon!

The sign says it all!

New Year's Eve night. Decided to try Siamville. Been awhile since we were here last and we were a little concerned when only 3 tables were in use. It turns out, they do a pretty good take out business. I had the yellow curry. I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy food. I've ordered it here before, and they definitely kicked it up a notch. Still, really tasty. My wife had a dish that she said had definitely gotten better since the last time too. I think she described it as night and day better. Price was pretty good as was the service.

Had never been to Cross Roads before. I had found it online and it seemed cool (at least to me) to…read moreshowcase Thai and Chinese cuisine at what otherwise appears to be a typical American diner. I liked the landscaping out front, it was very warm and welcoming and the inside was the same way. Quaint, homey, and very comfortable. It is just a place that you feel comfortable being at, which is always good for a diner like this. There was four of us total, and I was very impressed with the menu. Again, the variety is a great selling point and it isn't so much that becomes overwhelming. They have mostly anything that would fit your taste on a particular day -- really fabulous. Our table got a sweet and sour stir fry with shrimp, a sesame chicken dish, an omelette, and a southwestern shipwreck. I won't speak too much for the other at my table, but there were no complaints with the food at all. From my perspective, the food was EXCELLENT. I had the shipwreck and ordered a pancake ala carte. The pancake was absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly, fluffy.. They add a touch of cinnamon which really warms up the pancake flavor-wise. And I realize shipwrecks aren't awfully complicated to execute... but again. PERFECT. I could actually taste individual ingredients which were all marvelous. Honestly.. Cross Roads Bistro had a chance at being my favorite diner in the corridor. Except the service was unacceptable. I will try to make this short and sweet because it annoys me to even think about. The waitress had brought us our checks. Came back to check on them to see if we were ready to pay maybe 2 minutes later. Half the table was clearly not ready to pay as the tickets hadn't moved and there was no money / cards with the tickets. The waitress asked anyway if the tickets were ready to be paid. Guest A in my group said that he was still waiting for more tea (as his glass had been empty for over 15 minutes by this point). The waitress obviously took extreme offense to this and became very rude and very snippy.. In a very sarcastic / rude / and almost put-out tone, she proceeded to say that he never asked for more tea and that's why the glass was empty. After a second of awkward silence, she asked Guest A if he would like more tea (which I think should have been obvious). Guest A replied, " Sure! " and the waitress retorted, "See, that wasn't very hard, was it?" Wow... Well, Guest A didn't really catch / hear this comment in it's entirety but he knew she had said something unflattering. So after she walked away to get tea, he asked the table what she said. He almost couldn't believe it.. So much so that when she came back, he asked her what she said. She proceeded to lie and pretend as if she never said anything. She never returned to the table. The other guests (one of which is over the age of 90) were then required to get up and seek out the waitress to actually pay for their meals. Look.. I know customers aren't always pleasant. I know bad days happen. But I used to be a waiter and I couldn't get away with talking to CUSTOMERS like that under any circumstances. Heck, I wouldn't even think about. Before that incident, I was REALLY excited about this location and the food they offered. I was ready to come back fairly frequently? Now? I don't really want to go back at all. What a shame. ------- EDIT: I swear, I did this before. The questionable waitress seems to be gone and all of the great things I said about the food still hold true after many visits. Please go to this location and support our local businesses. These owners truly care about the food they serve and the customers as well. FIVE STARS.

Quaint little restaurant and the decor was solid. We had to wait for almost everything which isn't surprising as they looked to be short-staffed - I hope they staff more than two front house people regularly. My friend and I had drinks, he tried a Thai beer and peach saki, which he enjoyed. I had fountain root beer. We ordered steamed potstickers, which came out too quickly, were just north of warm and the sauce was far too sweet. Underwhelming. They'd be better if they were up to temp and the sauce was more savory and less sweet. The crabmeat Rangoon was crisp on one side and a little soggy on the other, they came out hot but I think they had been sitting for a bit. The sauce was again, far too sweet. It looked like straight honey with red pepper flakes in it. The entrees however, almost made up for the appetizers. Both plates were large and outstanding flavor. He had Racy Pad Thai (shrimp) with level 2 heat (1-5). I had chicken pad Thai (level 3), with a tamarind-based sauce and chopped peanuts on top. Again, both were fantastic. Overall a pleasant experience, I will return.

Tried the Shanghai Style Spring rolls for the first time. Couple of mini tomahawks showed up in that wax paper bag. I mean I'm over here looking at a maki roll with pieces of tuna so big it looks like they wrapped a roll of nickels in rice and nori. Their level of quality is has gotten so high I'm not sure they're capable of making a mistake let alone a bad dish. 03/08 Update New week. New order from the folks on the SW side. I've admittedly had this arrow in my quiver for a while but can't drop another review too soon and throw exclusive vibes. Don't get me wrong I have strong feelings but I am also low-key into Pho House. What can I say? I guess I'm a House guy. Anyhow, had an eye doctor appointment down the street (shoutout Dr. Fitz. SW side legend in the eye health space) so it was no brainer takeout time. Snuck the order in quick after battling through the little air puff machine. Food was ready in 20 minutes. Somehow you can get speed, quality, and value under one roof. It's immaculate. Since we're here it's probably the right time to discuss depth because this menu has a lot of it. In the interest of transparency I did have the Tuna Maki roll again. I have it every time. It's simple and it's beautiful. If you're the reading type and get deep enough into the menu you'll find the find Pad Thai. You might be thinking to yourself, "Are they really this agile?!" If you asked I think you already know the answer to the question. Order the Pad Thai. Trust me. And while you're at it grab a Shrimp Tempura roll, too. The eel sauce will have you in your feelings after one bite.
