I was not impressed to say the least. We came in and wanted to sit outside, the owner said we couldn't which wasn't a super big deal. The prices for the amount of food and quality is not justifiable. Almost $70 spent on two rolls of sushi and one plate of vegetable fried rice. We got waters for our drinks. There's much better places to spend your money if you're wanting sushi. We had 3 different waitresses and didn't know who to ask for what. They barely checked up on us. Just not the greatest time but the food wasn't terrible.

We love going to So Shoyu Sushi. Today we celebrated our sister's birthday there and I can't say enough great things about the experience. The staff is phenomenal and very welcoming. Their rolls are amazing, and we even ordered a few extra rolls to take home. Their birthday celebration is very unique and honestly one of the best. Huge shoutout to this place and the amazing staff and food. We always have a great time here and will definitely keep coming back!

Always get the blue fin it's great quality it's like butter. The rolls here are good too and I'm happy with any of them. They are very welcoming and always checking if need anything more.

The food and atmosphere was awesome. I went with a good friend and we had a great time trying different rolls. Everything came out quickly and efficiently. We were able to enjoy our drinks while waiting for the next dish. Everything tasted fresh and the sauces were top-notch. The portions were generous and the cost was reasonable. Highly recommend checking them out.

This was our 1st visit here. We've been wanting to try this place out because we love sushi and it definitely didn't disappoint. We were greeted right away and seated promptly and had our drinks. The only bad thing that I would say is the parking. I wish parking was better. On this visit we had the gyoza dumplings, crunchy shrimp roll on soy wrapper, spicy California roll and rainbow roll. Everything we had was so delicious and had so much flavor and portions were perfect too. Staff were friendly and made sure we had refills to our drinks. It's pretty quiet too and you don't really hear other conversations. You've got to try this place out if you haven't already. I can't wait to try other things on the menu. Oh yeah the menu is digital too.

The service and ambiance was nice. The sushi wasnt mind blowing good but it was fine. The carpaccio was on the sweet side, I prefer it more salty/citrusy.

The food and owner were amazing!! Made us a special boat for 2. Wonderful!!! Wonderful decor and felt very welcome! Will go back for sure!

Quick bite to eat on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We had great service from our server. She always made sure we had everything we needed and kept us in the loop of the status of our food (we were hungry) .. drinks were served cold with VERY chilled glasses. Food came in satisfying our visual hungers... We had an issue with ALL the plates looking delicious as they came out of the chefs counter and kitchen... we found ourselves envious of other customers' orders! Do we have the bellies for all these appetizing dishes??? Hmmm.... that's what YELP is for! We will definitely be back for more...

Came out on Friday night to Shoyu 2 after seeing lots of great reviews. We had a large party so we made reservations. We were seated immediately. The place was full and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The menu is extensive and there are plenty of options for sushi lovers and folks that loved cooked options alike. We started off with gyoza and egg rolls for appetizers. We ordered Ichiban, crunchy, mango-gogo and Firestone rolls. Miso soup, mixed tempura and shrimp tempura and two types of fried rice. The food arrived promptly. Very good size portions. The fish was fresh and good flavor the one critic was the mango-gogo was a bit salty. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we look forward to trying some other choices off the menu.

I need to start off with the fact that I've been here before and this place used to be incredible. Not so much anymore. I'm not sure why it's changed for the worse, but there's not much good here except the ambience and the friendliness of the staff. The two downfalls of this place was that the sushi wasn't fresh and it was highly overpriced. I can handle one of those things but both together puts this place on the no-go list. I had sushi a few minutes away a couple of weeks ago and it was way fresher and about $5-7 less per roll. I can't justify $21-23 per roll for a majority of the ones we got. Also $18 for fried rice is crazy. The only redeeming part of the ridiculously priced meal was that the server was friendly. He went out of his way to get us refills but considering the sodas are $3.75!!!! a piece, I would expect that. One disappointment with him though was that we brought up the fact that a couple of the rolls with crab tasted off and made mine, my daughter, her boyfriend's stomach turn (they even spit there's out discreetly and she never does that as she is a sushi lover). The server said he would check and was gone just a bit. When he returned he said that's just how snow crab is. I didn't argue with him because I didn't want to make a scene but I've had snow crab many times (for example, a few weeks ago in LA at a Louisiana style crab in a bag place) and it was great. It wasn't because it was snow crab. I suspect it was either old or cheap or even possibly both. The "Nachos" tasted and looked like cat food and many of the items were mushy. The place is decorated well and on point for a trendy destination but not worth how much they want you to pay for it-as evidenced by my receipt which I took a picture of because I was shocked when we got it. We still left a nice tip but left feeling disappointed. I hate taking a once-upon-time great place off the list but my stomach is still hurting six hours later.

First time trying this spot. This is the roll I ordered, it was fantastic. A perfect bite full of flavor. The waiter gave us suggestions and went over the menu. We seen a couple birthday celebrations while we were there and they clapped and had music and lights going. Great little spot.

Breaded calamari's, rock n roll sushi, seafood sushi, veggie udon which is almost done.

I was surprised at the ambiance of this sushi restaurant when we came and dine. We were greeted immediately by the waitress. Who has sat us. They served our drinks and had our appetizers deep fried breaded squid that is tender and tasty, then we had our veggie udon. It came fast, but what was surprised me was the interior of the restaurant which looks short of a sports bar, (while eating you're surrounded by big screen tv. ) We got our rock n roll sushi, seafood sushi. Which is a lot and filling. For our main dish. We ended up eating tiramisu for our dessert. Over all, it was very impressive, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes sushi and other authentic Japanese dish

Food is great! Can't get enough of their sushi. All the food is deliciously prepared. Great drink menu also. Service is perfect and extremely friendly. Ambiance is modern, fancy. Fine dining, but comfortable. I recommend the "blanco roll" and any spicy rolls with any Soju.

Fresh fish, but everything was over priced. The rolls were just ok. The service was polite, but somewhat awkward.

The staff is warm and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The ambiance is lively with an open-concept layout, so if you're looking for a quiet or intimate setting, this might not be the spot, but the food makes up for it! I ordered the spicy chicken noodles, and the portion was very generous. I personally wished it had a bit more heat. We also tried the spicy edamame and the 8-piece gyoza. Both were excellent!

I'm glad we did, because it gave us a whole new feel for the place. Inside isn't massive, but it's not cramped either. Think of it like the Goldilocks of restaurant spaces: just right. The vibe leans calm and cozy, dim lighting, black walls, and splashes of color here and there. It's got that "peaceful sushi zen" atmosphere without being boring. Our waitress deserves a medal (or at least an extra roll on the house). She was the only one working the floor, yet somehow managed to be friendly, attentive, and efficient all at once. Multitasking level: expert. Now onto the food, which is really why we came back. We ordered a spread: two teriyaki chicken plates, one chicken ramen bowl, an order of sushi crunch rolls, egg rolls, a large pineapple sake, a beer, and two iced teas. (Yes, we came hungry. Don't judge.) Everything came out quickly, hot, and fresh. The chicken was juicy, the rice perfectly cooked, and the little bed of veggies under the teriyaki chicken was tender-crispy and surprisingly addictive. Whoever thought of tucking those under there deserves a raise. The ramen had bold flavors that hit the spot, and the sushi rolls lived up to their name, they really were crunchy and delicious. Now, the egg rolls. Let me tell you, these might just be the best I've ever had. Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and stuffed with flavor on the inside. The kind that makes you regret ordering only one plate. Drinks? The beer was cold (and surprisingly affordable), the iced teas were strong and refreshing, and the pineapple sake... well, it was different, let's just say it's not everyone's cup of tea. Personally, I'll stick to tequila, lol, but my husband happily claimed the sake as his new favorite. Win-win. Prices here are fair and budget-friendly, which is always nice to see at a sushi spot. The place was clean and well-kept, and I'm happy to say it still holds up just as well as when I ordered takeout years ago. Bottom line: Shoyu Sushi is still doing its thing, fresh food, good prices, relaxing vibe, and service that makes you feel taken care of. If you want sushi that crunches, teriyaki that comforts, and egg rolls that just might ruin all other egg rolls for you, this is the spot.
