Got the pad thai. Found what looks like 2 ants or some kind of an insect God only knows i ate a few. It was good food but once i saw that man.. im good

I love the food here; finally made it for lunch Appetizer: Mango Chicken Wraps 10/10!! Im addicted to their tamarind sauce. Appetizer: Potstickers 10/10! The potstickers tasted fresh and were served with a really good sauce. Entree: (lunch special) Thai Mongolian Beef (came with a very delicious, small salad (dressing was fantastic) and spring roll. 5/10 the Thai Mongolian Beef was not my favorite and would not order again. Entree: (lunch special) Spicy Eggplant with chicken 10/10 (this is one of my favorites) Noodles: Drunken Noodles 10/10 Noodles: Pad See-Ew 8/10, they were good but I definitely prefer the Drunken Noodles. Dessert: Mango Sticky Rice 10/10 Service was a bit slow but we expected this bc they only have one waitress and restaurant was about 80% busy. Nonetheless, she provided great service. Ambiance is casual. Plenty of free parking.

I came on a weekday evening for dinner with two friends. We were quickly seated. The interior was very clean and welcoming. I ordered the pad see ew, my friends got the pad Thai and Hainanese chicken. The portions of the noodle dishes were quite small for the price, but I was happy with how my dish tasted! The pad Thai and Hainanese chicken were also delicious. We shared a coconut ice cream with sticky rice which was delicious. Overall, we had a great experience and will be back for more!

Food: in general it's not bad, but definitely a room to improve. The tom yum soup is our favorite. The drunken noodle isn't spicy as we thought and so did the Mongolian beef. The seasoning seems not enough and the beef is quite hard to chew as well. The portion and the price doesn't really match. Service: the staff is nice and helpful. We saw how they recommended dishes for the other table. Ambiance: it's a very small restaurant but nicely decorated and clean. Not for big party for sure.

Late review!! Ive been here a couple times but I just havent found the time to leave a review. I've always enjoyed their food! This was also our go-to place in high school for catering at club events. Ive always ordered take out but when i ate here in person for the first time a couple months ago, i wanted to make a proper review. It was around 12pm and surprisingly it was slow but also i was glad we came at that time because by the time we wrapped up our lunch, the place was busyyyy !! Anyways i ordered the chicken pad thai along with mango sticky rice! Everything tasted delicious and I would love to come back again and explore other items on their menu and try new things!!

This has been one of my favorite restaurants for years. It has earned it's reputation, and its awards. The service is always top notch. The food is amazing. Jimmy is a very hospitable owner. The crab Rangoon has a ton of crab. The pineapple rice has lovely bits of char on the protein to counter the sweetness of pineapple and raisin. This place also has my very favorite dish of Curry Noodles. Make sure you get a decent amount of pickled mustard greens, because it makes the dish.

My favorite Thai food restaurant is here in Bakersfield. Blue Elephant has THE BEST green curry ever!

Staff is very friendly, despite always being busy due to the many to-go/online orders they have. Food comes out somewhat astoundingly quickly, despite how busy the kitchen must be. I think I liked my noodles order from last summer more than my recent yellow curry; the onion didn't seem quite cooked through enough in the curry and I think the sautéing accentuated the texture and flavor of the veggies and tofu more. I do feel like for the price, there could be a little more, or otherwise that the price could be a bit lower; I feel like it's a little higher than prices I see for similar dishes in bigger cities. But there are much worse things than spending a little more money on good food at a small business!

Pretty good food for the area. Really good and prompt service along with tasty food. Everything in Bakersfield is in a strip mall so don't let that throw you off.

Excellent! Everything was perfect. It was so clean inside and calming for our date lunch. We had spring rolls, which came out so hot and fresh. We had the crab fried rice and pad Thai with shrimp! We ended it with stinky mango rice and a Thai tea. The service was amazing. No complaints, everything was great

I got the sampler combination and it was extremely small and soup like consistency no taste or thickness. It used to be my go to spot but nothing is the same. I'm thinking they are under new owners because I'm no longer returning!

The only thing I ordered was mango sticky rice and I was extremely disappointed. For the price they charge, the least they can do is make sure the mango is good. The mango was brown and going bad! Absolutely terrible and I'll be requesting a refund because $16 for a bad mango is robbery!

Spicy, stir-fried flat rice noodles with your choice of meat (we picked chicken and beef & pork are available for an additional fee) chili, garlic, basil, onion, bell pepper, carrot and tomato. You can pick your level of spicy and we went with spicy. 5/5 2. Crying Tiger $18.95, Thai style grilled beef. Served medium rare with spicy tamarind sauce. This was definitely my favorite. The meat was tender with a bit of fattiness, oh so good. 5/5 3. Thai Boat Noodle Soup $16.95, a savory herbal broth with pork rinds, beansprouts, Chinese broccoli, choice of noodles and choice of beef or pork, topped with fried garlic, green onion, and cilantro. And a TV hung up that was playing The Super Mario Galaxy Movie at the time, which was fun to have on. The service at this restaurant was fantastic! Our server was very attentive, sweet, and made sure to check in on us at different points during our meal. The great thing about the meal is that it's family style! We ordered the yellow curry and the pineapple fried rice. When the meal came out, they handed us separate plates for each of us to serve the portion we wanted. I only experienced a couple of negatives when it came to the food and that was: 1. The yellow curry was so delicious and had a nice coco-nutty flavor, but it felt like a few too many potatoes and not enough chicken. 2. The pineapple fried rice lacked pineapple. I love a few pineapple chunks in my fried rice but this had more of the pineapple flavoring and none of the actual fruit. Now, these aren't as much negatives as they are dish preferences. Everything still tasted solid and we left with our Thai food craving satisfied! Btw, make sure when you visit not to sleep on their dessert. The dessert is the best part! If you guys think this is great, we need to have a heart to heart. Let's start with the potstickers. I asked the waiter if I should get steamed or fried; he recommended fried. Well, let's just say I've had better potstickers from the grocery store's frozen section than this place... They were incredibly small and flavorless. If this is what is recommended, the steamed version must be inedible. Thankfully the Chicken Pad Thai actually had some flavor, but nothing to recommend to anymore. There is certainly better out there... This alone is definitely not a reason to go back. To make matters worse, it was pretty expensive... $31 for a plate and appetizer? No, just no. My favorite place at home for a huge plate and the same appetizer is $22, and my city is more expensive to live in. Heck, even amazing hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurants in Los Angeles (you know, one of the most expensive places to live) is cheaper than this place. The restaurant is located on California and Stockdale in a nonchalant retail center and kind of tucked in the back. There is plenty of parking and it is safe as there are a ton of lights around. When I walked in the place was a little busy with a few families wrapping up their dinners. They have a few booths, one long community table in the middle of the restaurant and then they have a large booth that can probably accommodate 4 to 5 adult adults. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. And my server was kind enough to explain the level of spiciness for each curry and how they are prepared. There is a sign at the check-in encounter that states they do not use MSG in their restaurant... So I'm sure this is a major plus for people that are sensitive to MSG. I ordered the eggrolls from the appetizer menu, a Thai iced tea with Boba, and the chicken curry, which is a yellow, mild curry, and that came with a side of rice. The Thai iced tea was delicious. Unlike other places, I've had it. It was not too sweet, just sweet enough. The Boba was tender and chewy and was also sweetened so whoever made it knew what they were doing. The eggrolls came out and were served with a side of what I will call cucumber relish. The cucumber relish was delicious and so refreshing. It contained finally sliced cucumber, as well as minced red onion, and some sort of sauce, and a little bit of sweetness. It definitely complimented the egg rolls. The eggrolls are vegetarian egg rolls. They do contain glass noodles. While they were delicious and fresh, I found them to be a little bit bland. The vegetables inside the egg roll could use a little seasoning and they could have been cooked a little bit longer to get the vegetables to steam a little bit longer. While I like my vegetables firm, I definitely don't like them raw, especially inside an egg roll. The chicken curry was also very tasty. And while it is the milder of the curries, it had a little punch. That is OK by me because I like spicy things. The curry broth or sauce was very flavorful and creamy. The chicken was also delicious. It was diced or sliced white meat, it looks like they use chicken breast, and you could tell that it was seasoned and potentially boiled in a seasoned broth. So everything blended together and was flavorful. The chicken curry also had some potato... I personally would like more potato and maybe some carrots. The white rice was also good... It was pretty standard and customary however they could add a little bit more. While looking at the menu, I noticed that they had lunch specials and they were very good deals. I recommend this place either for lunch or for dinner... I am definitely going back to try some of the other dishes. My meal was so good. I ordered pineapple fried rice to go. And of course, I had to taste it when I got home. It was tasty but could use a little more seasoning. Since it's been overnight in my fridge already, I am hoping that the flavors had an opportunity to blend together and I'm looking forward to enjoying it for lunch later today. Enjoy! Ps. I posted a picture of one of my to-go containers... they are great quality and leak proof, which is a major plus when you have to take saucy food home.
