    Sushinola especial

This was my first time eating Mexican style sushi. It was filling and filled with the right stuff. You can definitely find a line of people outside of this joint. These guys only speak Spanish but for all non-Spanish speakers, they will try their best to make sure you get your order. Creamy, crunchy and filled with goodness.

First time trying sushinola and It was pretty good. I ordered the sushinola especial which includes shrimp and beef. I really liked the mayo sauce they have and the dipping sauce as well. However I thought it was quite pricey.

To be fair I did not eat here. We sat down to order and after looking at the menu we changed our minds. Their sushi items were mostly fried, tempura, or baked and included chicken and/or beef as an ingredient. Tables were not clean and menus were sticky. They do have mariscos on the menu, however, nothing seemed appealing after experiencing the dirty tables and menus. Bottom line, go to a Japanese restaurant for Japanese food.

Doesn't look like much when you drive by this place, but let me tell you.....you need to stop by!!! This place is amazing, it is one of my favorite stops in Bakersfield. Every time I'm in town I make it over to try something new. My go to is the Tochinola and Sushinolq Especial. Highly recommend it.

Mexican sushi, it caught my attention immediately. It's not your typical sushi. I've been following their social media accounts for a few weeks now. Finally, today was the day! I dragged my co-workers along. Amazing customer service. And I say amazing customer service because I must have asked the guys working 101 questions about the food and they were more than helpful and never once got impatient. I usually beat the lunch rush when I go out to eat because I go early. The food was cooked quickly (after I finally made up my mind). The best part is that they served us at the table we were sitting at. The seating is attached to the restaurant on site. They do not sell drinks, you can purchase them at the restaurant inside. The food is plated like you're at a restaurant. I got the Tres Quesos. It is breaded sushi stuffed with chicken, bacon, Philadelphia cream cheese, Chihuahua cheese and American cheese. Mine was missing the bacon, but it wasn't a big deal. It tasted very good, but it felt like something was missing (not talking about the bacon). My coworker tried the sauce on the table and told me to try it. I added it to my roll and everything was complete. It's like Chipotle crack sauce. I couldn't stop eating it! I found myself even dipping my carrots in it so I could keep eating it. I hope they let me buy a bottle of it next time. (All plates come with Tampico, chile toreado, onions and carrots.) The Tampico is a little mound of crab salad. Loved it. I like the fresh carrots & green onions, it lightened the meal. Can't wait to come back! Tres Quesos $11

Food is great. Nothing to complain other than the area is a bit harsh and to find bullet hits on the windows.

This taco shop is run out of taco trucks and I go to the one on the corner of Comanche and Highway 178. They have two other locations available as well and have business cards with that information. The Carne Asada and Cabeza tacos are bomb! The Al Pastor is also very delicious and I've had all three in a taco, torta, or burrito, Their torta can be a little on the dry side so I recommend asking for extra mayonnaise. They do not put refried beans or any kind of bean on the torta, however you can request whole pinto beans, which is what they have. Their burrito is pretty good. It is fully loaded with rice, beans, meat, onions, cilantro, and whatever salsa you like. In addition if you would like extra meat they will do that for a fee. This place offers green and red salsas, and both are delicious. They also have a smoky salsa which is a little spicier. They serve a variety of soft drinks, including Mexican Coke, and aguas fresca. If you are a fan of the Cabeza tacos... I recommend you arrive early because they tend to sell out of that taco meat. Enjoy!

This seems to be the place. Photos of the food look the same although it is a different truck. The place at 178 and Alfred Harrell is so delicious! Handmade yellow corn tortillas. The meat is grilled on charcoal. And the flavors are amazing! Yum! Good attention to detail! Everything is fantastic! Thank you!

We ordered the Bakersfield Picante noodles and the Hibachi Shrimp. Now some of the reviews on here are claiming small portion size. Well let me set that record straight. The bag was so heavy I almost dropped them when he handed it to me. Now to the food. I'm going to start with the rice and move my was up. First. Wow. It's really nice to have someone who really knows how to make fried rice. Moist without being greasy flavorful and plentiful! Next came the veggies, a great mix of carrots, zucchini , bell Peppers and onions. Cooked and crisp at the same time. Perfectly seasoned and not mushy. I was impressed.... Moving up the ladder of delish I had the picante noodles... and I must say.. simply amazing. Soft to the bite and perfectly chewy. Covered in a picante sauce ( hence the name) that was just short of sublime. Now. The star of the show. The shrimp and scallops. Cooked to perfection and PLENTIFUL! there was as much protein as there was veggies...It was amazing. We had the Hibachi shrimp as well... everything I just said about the Picante noodles... goes for the Hibachi. One thing I noticed was the mix of different tables and chairs throughout the restaurant. It almost feels like a hodgepodge of furniture, but somehow it works and fits the contemporary vibe rather than feeling out of place. The food was excellent, the service was friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. We received our food surprisingly fast, which was a nice bonus. There was a mistake with one of our rolls, but the staff handled it well. They quickly remade the roll and brought us a replacement at no charge, which I really appreciated. One of the highlights was a custom roll with jalapeño, avocado, and asparagus. I added cream cheese and had it deep fried, and it honestly tasted like a sushi version of a jalapeño popper. It was absolutely amazing and something I would order again in a heartbeat. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish.
