Their meats are so tender and their vegetables are so soft. And you are even give sauces to dip them in that make the experience just golden! The service is excellent!! Instead, I'm paying premium prices to sit under fluorescent lights and question my life choices. The "Combo" Math that Isn't Mathing Then there's the pricing logic--or lack thereof. Why does a chicken and steak combo cost 20% more than the steak plate alone? * Standard Logic: A combo price should land somewhere between the cost of the chicken and the steak. * Kyoto Logic: "Since you want both, we're going to tax your indecisiveness." Either they have zero respect for their customers, or they're catastrophically bad at math. I'm betting on the latter. Honestly, I could buy a Blackstone grill for the cost of three or four visits to this place. The "Service" (If You Can Call It That) To top it off, the customer service is abysmal. The staff acts personally offended by your very existence. Even the older gentleman--who I assume is the owner--is the worst of the bunch. He radiates a vibe that says, "I hope you choke on that brown rice." Final Verdict: This is the last time they get a dime from me. I'm taking my business to my backyard.

I enjoyed mine, but I may have just made the wrong choice. I'll have to come back and try some other ones in the future. Everything was nice and fresh, mine just didn't have the WOW FACTOR THAT I was looking for. Great ambiance for sure and the place filled up quickly! I'll be back again to try some more rolls in the near future.

We were seating at a regular table, but still able to order the teppan items. It was just made to order and served entrée style inside of the whole experience you would probably get at dinner time. I ordered the 5oz New York Steak ($29) lunch teppan meal and it comes with fried rice, assorted veggies and miso soup. The food was prepared in a timely manner and my steak was cooked to the medium temp I ordered. It was super tasty and flavorful, but definitely on the heavy and oily side. The portion was large enough that I had leftovers for a subsequent meal. My coworkers who had chicken and shrimp versions of the experience also enjoyed their meals. Just to level set for expectations on the portion size. The gents finished their food, and the ladies had enough to take togo. Overall it is a splurge for a lunch but a good deal for teppan. Not something I would frequent because the nature of teppan can be oily and heavy, but I wouldn't mind coming back when my coworkers are in the mood for some teppan.

So glad I tried this place out! Located in the old Akira's building, is a trip down memory lane!…read more We had a little wait before we were seated but not too long. The hostess was so friendly and routinely stopped by for refills and to check if we needed anything. The Teppan chef was amazing, he was super friendly, made lots of fun jokes and did a wonderful show for our table while cooking super delicious portions! My husband and I both ordered the steak and shrimp teppan and it came with miso soup, a ginger dressed salad, a huge mound of delicious fried rice, bean sprouts (my fave!), grilled veggies, our protein of choice, and a scoop of yummy ice cream. The portions are huge so come super hungry or be prepared to take home leftovers! This place is perfect for large gatherings or date nights (keep in mind tables are sometimes shared but with adequate space) Found my new fave Japanese restaurant!

We were greeted by a wonderful waitress who was very friendly very accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure that we were completely satisfied with our experience. The food overall was good unfortunately my combination fried rice was definitely lacking flavor. The portion sizes were OK but I have received much larger portions for a cheaper price at other restaurants. The hibachi chef definitely put on a good show, all the Teppanyaki was cooked to perfection and my family was fully satisfied with the performance. So overall good experience but the food was definitely nothing to brag about definitely lacking flavor.

We ordered the Bakersfield Picante noodles and the Hibachi Shrimp. Now some of the reviews on here are claiming small portion size. Well let me set that record straight. The bag was so heavy I almost dropped them when he handed it to me. Now to the food. I'm going to start with the rice and move my was up. First. Wow. It's really nice to have someone who really knows how to make fried rice. Moist without being greasy flavorful and plentiful! Next came the veggies, a great mix of carrots, zucchini , bell Peppers and onions. Cooked and crisp at the same time. Perfectly seasoned and not mushy. I was impressed.... Moving up the ladder of delish I had the picante noodles... and I must say.. simply amazing. Soft to the bite and perfectly chewy. Covered in a picante sauce ( hence the name) that was just short of sublime. Now. The star of the show. The shrimp and scallops. Cooked to perfection and PLENTIFUL! there was as much protein as there was veggies...It was amazing. We had the Hibachi shrimp as well... everything I just said about the Picante noodles... goes for the Hibachi. ( saving you a little time here) So if you are looking for fantastic food, and want to support a VETERAN OWNED LOCAL BUSINESS! This is the place. Great food. Great service. Get down here already! P.S. I didn't take pictures of the food because I was Hungary. Next time!!!!

First the Miso soup was so bad that the waitress apologized. It had gone bad and had to remake it. The ginger was inedible... all this before our food comes out lol my salmon was slightly brown & took 30 minute to get to us while there was absolutely zero people in the restaurant. My Husbans benzo box was super suspicious. All 3 pieces of sushi were an odd color. The chicken was so dark. It looked like beef. I hate writing a bad review... but once my sushi roll came out 40 minutes later I didn't wanna chance it. I sent it back because Sushi should not be that color and it was 70%Rice to fish. I really hope this place was just having a bad day but hopefully this review we'll get them back on track.
