We ordered a new menu item Chicken Karage (fried chicken bites) and four sushi rolls. We ordered the Truffle Delight, Hawaiian roll, Alaska roll, and Coconut roll. All the sushi rolls were delicious and unique in their own ways. If you are a fan of truffle flavor, highly recommend the truffle delight roll! Does not have rice and looks like a squid! Super cute presentation. The Hawaiian roll is a must order for seaweed salad and tuna lovers! Delicious! The Alaska roll with generous pieces of salmon sashimi on top makes the roll buttery and delicious. The coconut roll is an elevated California roll with a coconut and mango twist! The restaurant was very casual and had a laidback vibe. My only note is the service staff could be a bit more personable ie asking if refills, utensils, or sides are needed. Is it my top ramen choice in Bakersfield, no, but I'm reviewing off my tastebuds, so I would still suggest to give it a try. I would continue to come back for the rolls. I just love sushi and a good deal. Sometimes it's hard to get both!! However, Prime Sushi has had their 50% off "Grand Opening" prices, and I just say, it makes their rolls taste that much better! I do enjoy the ambiance inside the restaurant. Nothing too small, not too big. It's very clean and there is always decent seating. Service is generally friendly. To the owners, been here multiple times and always an amazing experience as family. As a family owned business my number one Sushi place to go by far.. Yet, today on 06/25/26 at around 6:50, hope you watch your cameras, your host, serviced young lady was awful rude. One thing is to tell us we need to wait on HER to be seated on the bar area, and another to belittle the main chef at that time. (We always see dad cooking and mom hosting) we asked main chef at the time if bar area was ok to sit at, in which she agreed. Yet, the host at this time said "she was nobody" and we were to wait on her, following the slamming of menus on the table. We agreed to leave my husband and I and let her know of how rude her actions were. At this point she proceeded us to leave with her hand gestures and her very disrespectful demeanor. Went for lunch on a Sunday for our first time eating here. It was very quiet and relaxing. Service was excellent and we were happy with our food. Ordered three rolls and a teriyaki chicken. It was really clean and the ambiance was quiet. The rainbow roll was good and had just the right amount of portions. The only thing is that they didn't serve ginger and was I with your sushi. I'm sure you could ask for it. The Shrimp Tempura roll was one of the best I've had. I don't eat fresh seafood I have to eat it tempura style. A nice lunch date with the family per my daughter's suggestion. Always exciting to try out a new sushi / ramen spot. My first impression waking in was that I loved the vibe. I was excited to try the spicy Bulgogi Ramen (keep in mind this was my first time trying ramen at a restaurant and before now the only ramen I had ever eaten was the dry bags from the grocery store ) We also ordered 3 different sushi rolls to share. The ramen: So good, I'm hooked. I'm the biggest sissy with spice so I was glad that their version of spicy was very mild. The broth was so flavorful and I also loved the texture of the noodles. The meat wasn't the best cut as it was a bit fatty and chewy, but I loved the dish overall. Fire Roll: Very good. Just what you would expect from a baked roll, warm and delicious. Honeystone: Very basic, plain. Looks great, but nothing special. Sunkist: Really enjoyed this one. Slightly sweet, very good. To drink I thought, what could go go better with sushi and ramen than a nice hot tea. Good idea, but not good. The tea had an odd smell, and the flavor was honestly tough to drink. Would not recommend. Service was good enough, but the waitress that helped us was a total mood killer. Zero enthusiasm, helpful but not friendly. My wife even commented how much she enjoyed the ramen and she didn't say a word or even crack a smile. I was dining here yesterday and honestly felt really uncomfortable with something I witnessed. While I was eating, I overheard a situation between management and an employee that didn't sit right with me at all. It sounded like the worker had just been fired, and I clearly saw money being handed to her while they were talking. From what I could hear, it came across like "hush money," which was really concerning. As a customer, you don't expect to witness things like that while just trying to enjoy your meal. It made me question how employees are being treated behind the scenes. I also overheard conversations about tips & wage, and it didn't sound like things were being handled fairly for the staff, which is disappointing because customers assume their tips are going to the people who actually serve them. The food might be fine, but the environment and how workers seem to be treated raised serious red flags for me. It just didn't feel right supporting a place where situations like that are happening out in the open please dont come here at all I just witnessed retaliation read more

The fish tasted pretty fresh, and the sauce to to roll ratio was good. The rolls were pretty good in general, but a lot of them do use crab as their main filling. I would just suggest to look at what each roll consists of to get a more diverse experience. The shisito peppers were delicious and were demolished before I could take a picture. They were surprisingly not spicy at all, but the stir fried garlic on top of the peppers was perfect. The mango cha cha roll was interesting. There's actual pieces of mango, but it surprisingly goes really well with the fish. The sauce is a bit more creamy compared to the others, but it paired well with the mango. The yellowtail roll was very good, this was my second favorite roll I got. The fish was a great texture, and their spicy tuna is delicious. The dragon roll was also good if you're an eel lover and feel hesitant about eating raw fish. The 911 roll was my favorite since I love spicy tuna and avocado. I'd definitely get this one again. The server was very kind and gave us some great recommendations (like the mango cha cha roll). She continuously checked on us which is always a plus. The restaurant had some cool art hanging on the walls. It's very clean and was a nice play to enjoy our meal. My family loves coming here, so we will be back soon! read more

Came in for take out. Ordering was a bit weird. I think the young woman taking my order was fairly new. The inside of this place is cozy and welcoming and I wish we had dined in. The portions were big. Bulogi and sushi were both excellent. The dressing on the salad was quite yummy. My only gripe is that I only got ONE packet of soy sauce and a small amount of sriracha. The hot saki was a good amount for the price; however it was just original ; no flavors . I think if it was some sort of flavor would have been better; add some sort of a distinctive taste. We ordered the shrimp shrimp roll; the coconut roll and one other one. All were delicious and unique in their own way. It was nice trying a variety . The orders for the rolls are big enough to share. I used their Yelp reservation option and upon arrival i told them I had a reservation and the hostess looked confused and asked what I meant, seeing they had a few open tables I told her again I made a rsvp via Yelp and it would be a table for 3. We waited about 15 minutes to be sat even with open tables, another couple came in shortly after us and was never greeted even though wait staff kept coming to the front to ring out orders. The decor was really modern and nice with lots of roomy tables. We did enjoy their opening special of 50% off specialty rolls but was shocked that 3 soft drinks (one was for a child) cost $10?! The sushi chef took our order and was friendly! The rolls were fresh and yummy, but had the rolls not been 50% off would they have been worth the full price? I would say no, the food was good but not exceptional. This is the restaurant at market place, under new ownership. I walked in, and the change is apparent. Gone is the ocean, in is darkness and sophistication. Even the menu is heavy with metal edges. The waiter is wonderful and attentive. All the dishes are premium quality in unique shapes. We order the Japanese burrito appetizer and my wife loved it and immediately gave it 5/5.
