Top notch service(Jennifer G), cold beer, plenty of Televisions showing current sporting events, outstanding pizza, great fish basket, submarine sandwiches, what's not to like. I will be back

I stopped in and tried the pizza and got a to-go pie and some chicken Alfredo. This is a cool bar/restaurant. The staff were awesome. Pizza - Small Pacer and a large Buckeye pizza (to-go). Pacer was cheesy by design. It had great flavor. M Buckeye pizza - it was good but not my speed. The topping coverage was not like the Pacer (I should have taken a picture). Chicken Alfredo was a hit in the house. Everyone loved it. I am going to go back when I am in the area just to see if it was a one-off on the pies because of the ratings. This is a cool place, and please give it a shot as I am not a food critic but providing my experience to my individual tastes.

Shorty's used to be my favorite pizza place around Delaware, we would order from there almost every Friday night. Haven't ordered from them as often lately as the food quality at the Delaware location seems to be going down hill. Decided to try again this past Friday and it will probably be the last time. Ordered a 12 inch mushroom and sausage pizza and 6 of their wings, which I had never had before. First the pizza, of the 12 inch diameter pizza, the cheese and toppings covered about 8 inches, which basically means I paid 18 bucks for an 8 inch pizza, pictures attached. Don't get me wrong, if you are a big fan of dough, crust, and tomato sauce, this is the pizza for you. I, on the other hand, prefer my pizza with toppings that actually cover the whole pie. As for the wings, I guess you better be a fan of drumettes because that is apparently all they have. Ordered 6 wings and got 6 drummettes, picture attached. I, unfortunately, enjoy the wingettes more than the drummettes. I would rate the taste of the wings a 4 out of 10. I ate two of them and threw the rest away. I don't know if they are cutting back on the amount of toppings and skimping on quality to help fund their two new locations, but this is definitely not the Shorty's I started out with. Btw, the last picture posted is taken directly from the Shorty's website. I assume this is what my pizza was supposed to look like, I just wish it did.

The pacer with extra sauce, fantastic!!

The bread itself also had an alcohol taste to it- maybe it's the batch as the last time I had it I couldn't taste it but this time I may not pass a breathilizer from it alone I had the RBW Burger and the aioli was tasty. The pickles were unlike any I've had before- like the thing between a pickle and a cucumber. The wait staff were nice! The volume was pretty standard for a bar. Only gave it a four because the food can be inconsistent between visits. (Last time the fries were way too salty and this time they were perfect- also the bread)

I had the RBW Sloppy Joe- Chorizo, BBQ sauce, cheese and onion petals on a pretzel bun! This sandwich is to die for!! I will be making this at home if I can figure out the right mix. My wife had the Mexican salad with chicken and she said that it was awesome. I also tried two of their beers and a cider. First I had the Delicious which is a light wheat beer, very refreshing. Second was the Webrewedabeertogether which was a Bock, great tasting dark beer and then I tried the Eat a peach cider, also light and refreshing.

Loiee G's did not disappoint. I grabbed a Medium "Nightmare on Pep Street" -- garlic butter, red sauce, three types of pepperoni -- basically the holy trinity of flavor. I inhaled it like I was auditioning for a competitive eating show. While still chewing, I ordered an 18-inch Meat Pizza for the tribe back home (because sharing is caring, apparently). This is proper NY-style pizza: thin, crispy, and foldable -- the kind of slice that makes you feel like you should be yelling "Yo!" on a Brooklyn sidewalk. The topping ratio was chef's kiss -- not overloaded like most C-Bus pies that think they're competing in a topping-weight contest. Everyone at home gave the thumbs up, proving I can, in fact, make good life choices when hungry. Bonus points: the pinball collection is serious. My buddy (resident pinball nerd) told me to check out the Godzilla and John Wick machines -- because nothing pairs better with pizza than saving Tokyo or racking up a kill streak in neon lights. Verdict: Loiee G's is legit. Great crust, perfect ratios, and enough pinball nostalgia to make you forget your cholesterol results.

And I think that might have been our downfall. We went the breakfast route and started with a Cinnamon roll made right on the griddle. It created this crispy char that gave the roll more of a funnel cake texture. Unique, and the icing definitely enhances it (as it does most cinnamon rolls). Their special breakfast sandwich, "The Morning Wake-up" touts a "2x the size English Muffin" and they were not lying. This sandwich had cheese, multiple meats and vegetables, and I needed to take half of it home due to sheer size. What it didn't have... sauce. What it needed... sauce, syrup, aioli or something to lubricate all of those toppings. The breakfast potatoes on the side needed salt/seasoning/sauce, too, to be more to my liking. It was a similar experience with my wife's Reuben and the fries that she ordered; the sandwich had its moments, but it made me wish one of us got a burger like most of the other patrons.

And the building and restaurant has a cool history as being one of the oldest in the state. My server Ian was cool as was the rest of the staff I encounter. It s nice to see younger people with goals who take pride in where they work. He recommended the grilled sirloin which was good: A simple nice grilled steak with great char marks and seasoning. The potato was okay, and I couldn't tell if it was from a box or they peeled them, but they were tasty and a nice large portion. It just needed butter which they brought me. The Caesar salad was very good, and I am picky about both salads and dressings... I could have even eaten more of that! I am glad they are preserving it and its legacy. I am also glad they are open on Monday when many of their competitors in Delaware are NOT! When I first thought of Bunns, I thought of old people, and this clearly contemporary with an updated menu! They even have Jell-O! I wiIll definitely return and recommend it to anyone who asks me for a good place to eat... Much appreciated.
