Spicy Kimchi Butter Katsu and shrimp! Comes with Mac salad and rice. VERY RICH. VERY DELICIOUS! Spicy too!
Monica H.

Omg I didn't know what I was missing until I tried this place just by chance. Their chicken katsu/shrimp comes drenched in the most rich kimchi butter flavor. SOOOO delicious!!! Want to warn you though, it is SUPER rich though and pretty spicy! Their Mac salad is also really good and contained visible chunks of tuna. MUST TRY THIS PLACE IT IS SO GOOD!!!

This place has a cool pineapple. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. I got their wavy number 2 bundle which comes with 2 of their sandos, 2 musubis, and a drink. I got their strawberry pineapple lemonade which was perfectly sweet, fruity, and refreshing. The musubi was pretty average and good. The musubi was pretty average and good with a thin layer of savory spam and plenty of rice with a bit of sweetness to it. The katsu sando was smaller than expected but had a savory crispity crunchy cutlet with like a sweet honey butter glaze?, creamy mac salad, and soft sweet hawaiian roll like bun. Overall this place is lowkey pretty good. Combo 2 $22.69

Redeemed!!! Matthew was my cashier, great job took my order with a smile, entered my phone number correctly and I got a text when it was ready, very friendly and fast service. Beautiful day out and a band in the courtyard. One year anniversary! $5 oh! So good I will definitely pay full price anytime, kimchi butter was delicious.

A+++ experience, from the service, to the recs and the food / drinks! I drove from West Hollywood to get my lil fix and it was honestly worth every mile. Shootz is located in a Market where you can find some other eats and restaurants. Plenty of parking when I arrived. Courtyard area was filled with high school kids, it seems to be the after school kick it spot. As far as the food... what a burst of flavors! Shout out to David - he truly made me feel at home and was such a welcoming soul. Their spam brûlée musubi is definitely the star of the show, perfect salty kick and it's drizzled with their sweet house made sauce, which gives a great balance of flavors. Now, it wouldn't be a meal without their spicy chicken sandwich - you get to choose from 3 spice levels, I ordered the medium and it was just the right amount of spice for me. Chicken is crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and topped with creamy macaroni to seal the deal. They have some house made drinks that I would recommend, their mango green tea is on the sweeter side, but if you would like something a little lighter and refreshing, get their mint peach lemonade.

Shootz brah! Great Hawaiian spot inside the Rodeo 72 Public Market. The spam musubi is the must try. Then, the chicken sandos. I still don't know what Kimchi Butter is but it tastes good. Check out my pics!

First off. I've been a big fan of them for a very long time. Since the first location opened up in Long Beach. I found this location from a yelp event, and I had to come. The location that it's in is a food hall. Competition is thick with food everywhere but Shootz never disappoints. The vibes, the community, and not to mention Shootz! We got two of the chicken Katsu sandwiches and a garlic shrimp plate. The Service was very good as they gave us time to look at the menu and educated us on what we might like. Every time I eat this food, I always think how so many people have not tried it and if only I could get more people to go there and taste it. Everything always tastes amazing. If you haven't tried Shootz you are absolutely missing out on a good comfort food experience. Not to mention this is one of the better locations with a sports bar attached to the food hall if you want to catch a game and eat.

I've been a fan of Shootz for a long time. First tried them when they were at the Cravings At 99 Ranch in Chino. This location at Rodeo 72 market is probably the closest Shootz location for me now. Since it's located in the food hall there's plenty of tables and seating all over the market as well as many outside patio seating. The foot traffic to Shootz was consistent. I had their Spam Brûlée musubi at a Yelp event a week prior. As I was talking to the staff, he mentioned he was a manager and also was present at the event for the Shootz table. The service was great and the manager was super friendly and offered me a drink on the house which was greatly appreciated. I opted to try the Strawberry Pineapple Lemonade Refresher. I ended up ordering the Spicy Katsu Chicken Sando & the 2 piece Spam Brûlée Musubi. I hadn't had their Katsu Sando in a few years so I was happy to try it again. Order was ready in less than 10 minutes. I opened up the boxes and was excited to see how well they put these together. The Katsu Chicken Sando was still as awesome as I remembered. The crispiness and the textures of the mac salad inside is a memorable bite of food. Not to mention their Kimchi butter than gives it all the flavors. The Spam Brûlée never disappoints. The sweet and salty pairing is such a unique combo. The refresher went well with the entire meal. Their food has always left me happy. Just wanted to make sure to show love to the Shootz fam with this review. If you've never had a taste of their Hawaiian inspired and Asian fusion food. Make sure to give it a try! Thanks, Shootz! Tried the spicy katsu chicken sando and it was really good! Didn't realize the macaroni salad was actually in the sandwich, but it works! The best deal is to get two for $17. The other items look pretty good and there are interesting drink flavors: mint peach tea, mango green tea, and one other (I forgot). It's located at Rodeo 72 and there's plenty of seating, indoors or out. We got our food pretty quickly and it wasn't too crowded for a Saturday afternoon. I'd get the sandwich again.

First, this place is located inside the Rodeo 72 Market and it was actually a really cool venue. I went on a Friday night and it was a cute and cool vibe! Shootz had a really kind and patient employee who was able to answer all our questions and she offered samples of their drinks. We then only waited around 10min for our food which felt super quick. We got 2 katsu chicken sandwiches (one spicy, one regular) and the spam musubis. The musubis were good and unique! I enjoyed them a lot. The sauce on top was caramelized, perhaps flambed or flamed or smth on top but it definitely added to the experience. I enjoyed the sauce as well of course! The spicy sandwich was good, an I enjoyed the little kick. One of the employees described it as a hot cheeto level but turned up a little, but I'm not sure i'd go that far. If you're a spice person, you'll handle it with ease and enjoyment. Anyways, the burger was huge. The meat was so good and flavorful and crunchy and I enjoyed it a lot. The mac salad on it was good! I think I probably would've preferred shredded cabbage or something more fresh bc it did weigh me down after but it was really goood. I would definitely come back here!

Mission Statement: Comfort food, made from the soul. Shootz combines classic Asian-Inspired dishes and the ever-evolving and expanding culture of California. Our menu provides traditional flavors of the comfort food you grew to love as well as new combinations of flavors you never knew you needed in items such as our popular Kimchi Butter Chicken Katsu and our Spam Brûlée Musubi. With a focus on quality, flavor, and exceptional service, our team aims to provide an extraordinary experience every time. Background On Visit: Haven't explored Whittier much. So one day last week, I decided to explore Rodeo 72. Restrooms: They're available. Just use the public restroom inside rodeo 72. Credit Cards: They're accepted. Most importantly, there's no surcharge to use them Location/Parking: Located inside Rodeo 72. Parking can be found in the shared lot. Ambiance/Decor: No ambiance. It's a food stall and furnishings to sit and eat on are provided by the food hall. Service: Service was good. Misael was friendly, offered great suggestions, and quite informational about the shop. Food didn't take long to come out. Food Of Choice: 1) Decided on the #2 combo that came with 2 kimchi butter katsu chicken sandwiches, 2 spam brulee masubi's, and a can soda. I really enjoyed eating the katsu chicken sandwich. It was soo good. Loved how the katsu chicken wasn't heavily fried, kimchi butter was quite taste and was happy to see mac salad in the sandwich. The brulee masubi was amazing and quite flavorful. Shootz For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back and ordering the #2 again. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! :)

Located in Rodeo 27 in Whittier. Fair amount of parking. Wasn't too busy when we went so didn't have a problem finding parking. There's an indoor and outdoor eating area, which is very nice. The weather was good that day so we sat outside. You can order through their iPad or directly with a person. We had kimchi butter katsu chicken and the kimchi butter shrimp. Portion sizes are okay for the price. I enjoyed the katsu chicken - good flavor and spice. My daughter ordered their kimchi butter shrimp and said that the flavor reminded her of flaming hot Cheetos. The spice was also in a powdery substance on the shrimp. Some may like this flavor, but she didn't care for it. Also ordered a mint peach limeade, which was good. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Make sure to try the kimchi butter! The kimchi butter sauce in the Katsu Chicken Sando and the added sauce on the Shrimp & Chicken Plate was delicious! So rich and flavorful. I really like the Mac salad here as well, I found it wasn't too heavy for my liking. Shootz at the Whittier location is smaller than other locations I've seen, but what I like about this location is that it's in the Rodeo 72 food hall alongside with other businesses including a bar with big screen TVs. Rodeo 72 has an open space that leads to an outdoor area, giving it a nice, friendly neighborhood atmosphere. I really enjoyed the vibes and food here, definitely have to come back!

Long overdue review for Tai Ping Sa Choi Kee. We used to dine at their Rowland Heights location…read moreyears ago and recently rediscovered them in Hacienda Heights. Since then, it's become one of our regular spots when we're craving certain dishes that are hard to find done this well. It's easily become one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Our repeat favorites: beef with black bean sauce (off-menu), shredded chicken (seasoned well), crispy fish with spicy salt (crispy with a kick), typhoon pork ribs (put the seasoned crumbs on your rice - yum!), chinese broccoli with dried fish (love the stems), shrimp cakes (crispy exterior bouncy inside) and beef chow fun (tender beef and abundant noodles). Their fried dishes are light, not greasy and leftovers re-crisp in the air fryer. Their lemon tea is refreshing and comes with 1 refill. If I had to recommend just 1 dish to try it would be the shredded chicken or the typhoon pork ribs (or fish if you prefer). Or just ask the ladies for suggestions and they'll lead you the right way. Decor is clean and simple. Service is always friendly, and the food comes out fast, hot, and consistently satisfying.

We were on our way to Hsi Lai Temple but wanted some food before our visit. We stopped by TPSCK…read morebecause we loved it the first time and know that they have soft food I can eat because of my dental work. We ordered a bowl of rice noodles beef soup, fish filet with corn sauce and the scrambled egg with shrimp. We told the lady taking our server that I just got teeth done and could only eat soft foods. She said she'll ask the kitchen to drown the fish fillets in the gravy so it can be soft for me to eat. How sweet of her. Everything tasted amazing like always and the ladies were always so nice to us. Are they nice to each other? Maybe not, but maybe it's tough love.

I love a good sandwich and the ones at Uptown Provisions are absolute fire…read more We ordered two: -egg salad ($16): egg salad with Japanese mayo, sambal chili aioli, tomato, avocado, pickled red onion, pepperoncinis, everything bagel seasoning, served on thick toasted brioche bun -turkey blt special I've never had a dressed up egg salad sandwich before, and to be honest, I don't think I'll never not want tomato, avocado and lettuce with my egg salad again - it kept the sandwich tasting fresh. The sambal chili aioli was a sleeper - it packed in a ton of unexpected spice. Deliciously unexpected. The thick toasted brioche bun also added a layer of sweetness. We ordered the turkey BLT because it was a special. It was, of course, delish, but I should have kept to the tried and trues. I'll definitely be back. Also PSA and order your sandwiches for pickup. We waited for quite a bit in the heat even though we visited at an off hour (on a Sunday). Also, there's a nearby park closer to Uptown you can enjoy your sandwiches.

Keep in mind I ordered around 12:50pm and the sandwich was ready at 1:45pm. I ordered the Spicy Gabagool Sandwich, and there were barely any mixed greens as compared to other reviews & the menu photo (I love my veggies)! The meats were yummy, but they did not stand out to me/didn't taste anything special. Unfortunately, the same goes for the bread. However, I did like the packaging of the sandwich and everything in the sandwich tasted well together; the chile spread, burrata, hot honey, pickled onions, meats.. the spice level is definitely tolerable; I didn't need water at all. It was more of a small kick. I also tried their lemon crumb bar and it was very delicious! If anything I would come again to try more of their unique baked goods. Overall, I enjoyed the ambiance of the shop. It is quite small and there are many people waiting for their order inside. There is only outdoor seating, which is scarce.
