This is usually the best location for me however, the food provided on Thursday was nowhere near where it should've been. The rice was not cooked all the way, it was very crunchy. The steak was very tender and juicy, but had no flavor. I had a party of four and everyone ordered steak. They all said the same thing...zero flavor. And the lemon drop was just that... a drop of lemon and a drop of alcohol. I recently had a Birthday dinner for my sister at Shogun and let me say, it was one of the best experiences I've ever had, when I entered the restaurant I was greeted with a smile, at first glance the restaurant was nice a clean, while we were was waiting for my table to be ready (which didn't take very long) we were also greeted by the GM of the restaurant, his name is Cesar , he really made us feel welcomed , the whole ambiance was incredible, because it was our first time, I didn't know what to order but the GM Cesar gave excellent recommendations, not only food but drink recommendations also..over all it was a great experience, my sister really enjoyed having her birthday dinner here...I want to thank all the staff but especially Cesar for making making my sister's birthday dinner special.. my sister is al ready asking me when are going back to Shogun. Love the food here and customer service when I'm there but whenever you do it on the phone or online they always forget items. It seems like the person on the phone is always confused. Like today I asked for two same orders of yakisoba only got one salad no rice and I asked for medium and well done ... both came out well done with lots of fat. read more

Shogun - my family loves Shogun. We live in Temecula so we frequent that location but we have family in the Corona Riverside area and recently ate dinner at the Corona location (probably eaten there 8-10 times over the years). Always eat at the hibachi grill. Fresh, hot, and delicious no matter which chef we've had. The staff is always friendly and attentive. My fav is the hibachi filet and spicy chicken combo. Kids love the fried rice. The show is always great and the chefs are entertaining and engaging. This location has lots of hibachi tables so we've never had to wait too long but o do recommend a reservation. Usually only waiting 5-10 minutes with a reservation. Shogun was our Mother's Day stop. 1. Easy to make reservations. 2. We were greeted and seated promptly upon arriving. 3. Our server was absolutely amazing. She even made it a point to learn to say Happy Mother's Day in Spanish just so she can tell my mother-in-law. Super sweet. Our were always full. She checked up on us several times without being bothersome. 4. The food was on point. The chef made great suggestions. We asked him to extra fry our rice and he did. We asked him to add chili to our fried rice and he did. He then suggested chili and lemon in our chicken which we thought was super thoughtful. 5. We paid about $300 for six adults, which was pretty pricy for a lunch but again they were running the dinner menus only since it was Mother's Day. Overall, we'll totally be back! read more

So this place multiple times heading home and decided to come for Father's Day. Reservation was at 530. We arrived at 5:42 (dude to traffic and a light that takes forever to change). Went to check in and the said since I was late I had to wait a long time to be seated. I asked what is a long time and she said 45 mins to and hour. She said they give a 10 mins grace period and was told that since we were late we had to wait 45 min to an hour to be seated. 45 mims to an hour is EXCESSIVE and the girl at the front was rude!!! While waiting a guy walked up the check in for his reservation and the same girl asked was his entire party there and he said they were parking. He went out and came back in about 10-15 mins later and was seated with no problem. So I'm confused as to why my party had to wait an hour to finally be seated when we were all there and only 2 mins late?? Finally we were seated, our server was great. The food however was bland. Great place to celebrate a birthday! Took my son here and not only did he get a special "birthday helmet" but their staff came by to sing very loudly with tambourines! We got here at 5:30 and there were only about four tables filled but by the time we left, the place was packed (and this was on a Monday!) so make those reservations.
