I was hesitant about trying this place as I usually do not gravitate to Japanese food. However, it was recommended by the front desk person at my hotel and was within walking distance. It is a fairly small dining room. Six booths of four max, six tables of four, and one table for six. No outdoor dining. While I was dining, there were lots of take out orders. I ordered the Golden tiger roll and teriyaki chicken plate with peach soju. I do not eat sushi but decided to get something only a little adventurous. The shrimp tempura, cream cheese and avocado with crab meat was divine. The presentation of the roll was beautiful. I didn't have to worry about the sauces as they were placed upon the top. Thankfully I was able to eat each piece in one bite. The roll was cut into nine pieces. So much more than I thought I would receive. Since I am not used to eating this type of food, I wasn't sure I could safely consume it the following day so I made sure to eat it all. I really enjoyed it. The teriyaki chicken was served on a hot skillet. So flavorful. I took the majority of the chicken and rice for lunch the next day. I came back a few weeks later and it was much calmer. Their raw fish was more on the firm side, we had raw yellowtail, toro belly, spicy tuna and albacore... they all tasted the same and pretty bland. The sauces on the rolls were also pretty bland and the soy sauce actually tasted watered down, maybe they use an off brand-idk. For these prices, go to DADA Sushi ar Dos Lagos. Wow!!!! It's been a long time since I came when they first opened and this spot is amazing. All the food I got was delicious. I recommend the yellowtail jalapeño. Refreshing and delicious. I can't recommend this place enough! Love the ramen, we have tried every type and haven't been disappointed once. Sushi is also amazing, I'm a fan of the baked scallop roll but the fresh rolls are also great, haven't had one I didn't like. It's also a very clean establishment. I probably only ate about 25% of the fish. The salad was good and the dressing was good as well. My friend got the Bulgogi, which was really good. Attempt #1: We initially tried coming here on a Friday night but with "hangry" kids/adults and no available high chair for the baby, we ended up having to leave. Very disappointed that day. Attempt #2: Gave it another shot, 2 weeks later and we were successfully able to have a really nice meal. Restaurant has a modern appeal. Usually lighting in some sushi restaurants is so dim but I appreciated the brighter atmosphere. Service was great. Our order: Super Philadelphia Roll: A Philly roll is my go to order but the extra salmon on top was even better. Tropical Roll: I really enjoyed how the spicy tuna and mango complement each other. This was probably my favorite from our meal. Tonkatsu soup w/ noodles: perfect for the kids who don't care for all the toppings that the traditional ramen would come with. Their broth is super tasty and the noodles had the firm texture that I like. Gyoza: They had the perfect taste crunch and paired well with the soy vinegar dipping sauce. Sesame Chicken: Not sure where the sesame is but this tasted more like Karaage (unless they're the same thing). My kids really loved them paired with hot steamed rice. Edamame: You can't really mess up salted edamame. They were a little on the harder side but I know some people prefer it that way. Nigiri: SO FRESH. Blue Fin Tuna, Yellowtail, Salmon... all soooo good. The presentation/plating was simply beautiful too! Only negative comment that I can make was that there was one fish bone in one piece of the salmon nigiri. Price point is comparable to most sushi restaurants. I was in the mood for Ramen so decided to check this New spot out. Wow the Tonkotsu Ramen ($15.95) did not disappoint. I opted to not have corn added in my Ramen. The broth was perfect. They serve you enough that I was able to take some home. I also ordered the Shrimp & Vegetable Tempura ($10.95) You get pieces of Shrimp, broccoli, onion, carrot and onion.
