First time here and this place is by far the best in Corona - I am pretty sure we have been to most in town! The jalapeño appetizer is crunchy/ not under cooked like at some places. I would say it's one of the best ever! Highly recommend and I'm a picky ;) Great service and everything comes out beautiful and pretty quickly! The baked roll was warm and fresh too!

Andy the chef is awesome! Everyone is so friendly & kind! We love coming here because it's always quick great service and yummy food. My favorite is the spicy yellowtail hand roll and their mussels are really good also because they aren't loaded with sweet dressing, instead they place of a drop of siracha Nice, small, easy going comfortable environment. Highly recommend visiting them!

We've been coming here for years -- our go-to spot whenever sushi cravings hit! We always order the Monster Rolls, Tiger Rolls, Jen-Jen Rolls, Dynamite Rolls, Baked Monster Rolls... and most of the sashimi The place is nice and cozy, and the service is always outstanding -- even when we order to go! And now that they offer all-you-can-eat?! Even better!!!

My husband and I love this place! We come atleast once a month to do their AYCE. Their sushi is phenomenal, with great rice/fish ratios. Their appetizers are always fresh and made for order. Their staff is so quick and inviting. This a great spot!

We did an order for our thanksgiving dinner we placed the order a few days before and picked up the night before. The staff was all very helpful and friendly the food was so delicious. As a family we order some sushi and my family orders some from another place and we combine it all to one big yummy sushi dinner. We had a large order of a sashimi platter a few rolls and garlic edamame and baked mussels. I would definitely recommend ordering to go as well as dine in restaurant great service great food.

Went here for the 1st time today, went around lunch time and it wasn't busy. It was very nice in there, it felt clean and comfortable, and very welcoming. Service was fast and friendly, checked up on us plenty. Food was the best, we got a lunch combo and a baked roll, both of which were delicious, but the star was the garlic edamame! My husband was actually drinking the sauce! We will definitely be back to try their all you can eat sushi! read more

I was in Corona with my son to play golf at the Eagle Glen golf course with a couple of my buddies. Afterwards we had a celebratory dinner at Tokai Sushi treated by the losing team. What a nice relaxed atmosphere here. It's not loud or overcrowded. It's perfect for family and friends to enjoy a Japanese meal together and have meaningful conversations without having to talk so loud. We ordered some roll's, a combination dinner, salmon skin salad and I got myself one scallops hand roll. The hand roll was delicious but the seaweed was quite soggy it had no crunch to the seaweed. The Jessica Alba roll, the Tropical and the crunch roll were all well made. Not an overly amount of sauces on them. To cap off our celebration, we toasted with a shot of Hot sake. The entire dinner was great, especially when I didn't have to pay. read more

We live up the street and have tried sushi everywhere. This place is Corina's hidden gem! Ten times better than the place across the street! Sushi is fresh EVERY SINGLE TIME we go. Even when we order pick up the salmon sushi is always AMAZING! This spot is the most consistent sushi place I've been! NEVER had a bad experience. Not only is the food great the service is even better... literally the most kind and friendly people with huge smiles every time! I really wanted to like this place, but everything was off from the moment we sat down. The menu situation was confusing -- apparently there are three different menus, and none of them offered the items we usually enjoy at other sushi spots. On top of that, it wasn't kid-friendly at all, which made the whole experience even more uncomfortable. The sushi itself was a big disappointment. Almost everything tasted like it had been drowned in mayonnaise, completely overwhelming any actual flavor. Definitely not what we were expecting. Service didn't help the situation either. Instead of being attentive, the servers hovered over us the entire time, making it hard to relax or even enjoy the parts of the meal that were okay. Overall, it just wasn't a good experience. Between the limited menu, the strange flavors, and the uncomfortable service, this is a spot we won't be returning to. read more

The sushi here is very nice especially for such an affordable price in this economy. The service is also excellent, all the waitresses are so polite and kind, and it's very cozy for a sushi spot. Food is great. Will keep ordering from here but my last exp wasn't as great. I placed an order on their website stating pickup in 15mins. Placed the order at 7:36pm and I came to pick up at 8:11pm, so that's 35mins. So I walked in, the waitress came up to me just saying the order was not ready, didn't really give me addl info what that time should be. So here we are..... The lesson is don't trust their website timeline. It is just a suggestion. read more

The chef and the server are both really nice. It wasn't crowded when we went since it was towards the end of 4th of July so there was ample space. Parking is everywhere since you're in a plaza nearby the freeway. We ordered Monster Roll, spicy tuna roll, and tamago nigiri. We enjoyed all the food due to its freshness! My family (me, my wife and my son) are so saddened to find out that Rakki Sushi ended up closing…read morewhen we wanted to go a few months ago. Rakki Sushi had the best ratio of fish to rice. We stumbled upon Rakki when we first moved to Chino Hills in 2023, and took a break from coming when our son was in the oven. It was definitely our go to Sushi spot when we had the energy to make it out there. We loved the various choices of nigiri, sushi rolls and even the appetizers. Shortly before they closed, the owner even gave us a complimentary yellowtail collar which was absolutely delicious, amazingly flavorful and super juicy (we never ordered this previously, since we always went with the AYCE option). The AYCE was very reasonably priced for what you got, and could be considered on the very cheap end, for quality of the food you got and options available. Rakki Sushi got high praises from our foodie friends who would visit us as well. The chef and staff were always super nice, they always came to check on how we were doing when they weren't too overwhelmed with the busyness, and we loved how super friendly they were. Our son loved the staff as well, and he always gave them smiles back in response to theirs. The ambience was more of a local/casual sushi spot, rather than somewhere fancy, which my wife and I greatly enjoyed since we like dressing comfortably in just t-shirts and joggers. The tables, seats, and utensils were always clean when we went there. The men's restroom wasn't the cleanest looking, but given the location it was understandable. I wouldn't say it's the best sushi I've ever had -- it's not. But for an AYCE place -- wow, it's pretty good. My previous favorite place was tomikawa in Irvine, but this place might be better. All the sushi we had was pretty fresh. And the other stuff we had such as jalapeno poppers and gyoza were very flavorful and tasty. The baked scallop could have been a little less runny, but the flavor was very good. The pieces of sushi are all very small -- I provide a picture with my index finger for perspective. Since the place is AYCE, this isn't a diss... Just something you should know. So if you think you want 4 large pieces of sushi, you might order 6 or even 8 here. In a way, I actually liked the smaller pieces, as they're easier to pop in your mouth and chew, and you can easily order a lot of different kinds to try without worrying that you can't finish all of them. The only thing missing is udon or ramen. I like to finish off a meal with a little warm noodles, and that's a notable miss. I'm not sure it's totally worth a deliberate trip from Irvine ... But we're definitely going to stop by any time we're in the area.

This last visit (April 18) was the worst yet. The drinks are actually great, the bartenders know what they're doing. That's the only redeeming part of this place. Now the sushi... completely different story. It took an hour to get a lobster roll, and what showed up had little to no lobster. It was mostly shrimp, not even a mix, and to make it worse, there was visible shrimp vein (yes, the poop tract) still in it. Completely unacceptable, especially for something being sold as a lobster roll. (See photo.) It also took another hour to get just three types of sushi, and the yellowtail was cut poorly, chewy and full of muscle, not clean or fresh. At this point, this isn't a one-off experience, it's a pattern. I've given this place multiple chances, and the food quality and timing consistently miss the mark. If you want good sushi, skip this place. If you want solid cocktails, sit at the bar and leave it at that.

Since I am not used to eating this type of food, I wasn't sure I could safely consume it the following day so I made sure to eat it all. I really enjoyed it. The teriyaki chicken was served on a hot skillet. So flavorful. I took the majority of the chicken and rice for lunch the next day. I came back a few weeks later and it was much calmer. Today my aunt decided to give Tokai Sushi a try since it was near Blockbusters, at which we rented a few movies from. We were greeted with smiles like any other guest would at a restaurant. We visited this sushi restaurant on Monday night, and their food and service are great. Their sashimi was really fresh, and every bite showcased the delicate texture of the fish. The fish had an excellent texture, whether sashimi or sushi rolls. Their prices were also very reasonable. This establishment offered exceptional quality food at great value compared to other sushi restaurants. The prices were fair, whether the lunch or dinner special. Most importantly, the service in the restaurant was excellent. Whether we had questions about the menu or needed recommendations, the server was always enthusiastic and helpful. We recently went to the sushi spot. Had heard it was pretty good. That was not the case. After two days both me and my wife being at home sick I made a call to this restaurant which we had eaten at the night before not feeling well and was hung up on twice, With no resolution about the quality of their fish. I had said something when we were in the restaurant about the unique we have serving their fish however was told that this was totally normal. Given our experience I would never recommend this restaurant and I'm looking into how to have the health department check on them to help them stay above board and protect other diners read more

She was so mad and took the plate and never brought back a new roll without avocado . She also began talking about me to her coworkers and told them "the blonde girl" while rolling her eyes . There portion is great if u want to just do orders to go or pay per dish, but if u do the all u can eat, since the portion are pretty big, u won't be able to try a lot of diff dishes. So when u do the all u can eat, tell them to make it a lil smaller or instead of two pc of sushi each, just do one each and u will be able to try more. BUt that's just me, i like to try diff dishes. I love their tamago sushi thing omg, i no it's just eggs but it's so awesome. Anyways, i will b back. they have good prices. read more

So friday night me and my girl head out to this place cuz we heard pretty good reviews. it was a lil busy so i understand waiting but after a while they havent even asked our names or how many would like to sit. well i understand so we waited for about 10 more mins and then we just decided to sit at the sushi bar. the chefs are really nice and friendly however when i ordered some hamachi (yellowtail) it tasted too fishy like it wasnt refridgerated properly. i really was disappointed but i might give it another try on a less busy night read more

One of the rolls we had was very slimy so I don't know if it was old fish or what but I took Imodium after that roll just to be safe. The green mussels didn't feel fully cooked. Love this place for lunch. I usually get the sashimi lunch special and the uni sushi. Fish is fresh and delicious. Staff is really attentive and makes sure your drink is full. I'm tempted to try the all you can eat but I'm afraid I might eat too much! read more

Not only is their all you can eat sushi an outstanding value... The sushi is the best I have had in Corona. The staff is very friendly!You have to try some of the "custom" dishes like the stuffed jalepenos. Highly recommend. We eat here almost weekly. read more

The rolls are nice big size. They are not stingy. Our go-to rolls are the Crunchy Roll, Shrimp Lovers Roll adding crunch, and the Baked Salmon Roll. Their miso soup and mixed tempura are yum! Delicious short ribs that come out in a small cast iron skillet, and also their garlic spicy edamame is a must. Always friendly staff and good service. Even when they are busy, they do their best. Since I am not used to eating this type of food, I wasn't sure I could safely consume it the following day so I made sure to eat it all. I really enjoyed it. The teriyaki chicken was served on a hot skillet. So flavorful. I took the majority of the chicken and rice for lunch the next day. I came back a few weeks later and it was much calmer.
