I think it's time to write Sushi R91 a review because we've been coming quite frequently for lunch. I've never been here outside of weekday lunch but I can say for certain that their weekday lunch specials are a really good deal. They have bento boxes, specialty rolls, sushi, chirashi bowls, and ramen for a good deal during lunch. Their sushi is usually very fresh. I think there was one time that one of the pieces of tuna didn't taste fresh and once we notified the waitress, the chef gave us a complimentary piece of salmon belly to rectify the situation. I was impressed with the response and hence, we've been coming very often during work days. We love their seared salmon sushi and usually add one of their sushi combos for lunch. My husband likes to order the specialty roles. Sometimes I crave their beef ramen. Note that this isn't authentic ramen you'd get at a ramen shop but there aren't that many ramen shops around here so I take what I can get. There is usually tons of seating during lunch and the service has always been good. read more

What a hidden gem this place is??!! Extensive sushi menu with incredible yumminess. Our server Aiden was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was fresh and had a marvelous presentation. We had yellowfin, ono, salmon and octopus. We also had edamame and dumplings. Everything was wonderful. They also have a full bar including Sapporo and Kirin beer. Everything is very good just not the ramen, but the vibe is good, food is good the baked muscles are somewhat cold when they bring em to the table but I think it's because someone probably burnt themselves they are still very flavorful. My family and I have been coming here since last year and have been hooked! It's located in a strip mall where there's ample parking. The ambience is chill and casual with TVs around for sports fans, though you can ask if they can change it to a cooking channel. We usually come here after my kids' sporting events, where they find comfort in their food and just by being there. The owner/manager Richard is always so warm and welcoming! Their sushi chefs and servers/hosts are friendly and attentive too! Their sushi rolls are bigger than some other sushi places around. We like their Salmon Tataki, Sun Shine roll, Heart Attack, Rainbow Roll, and Soft Shell Crab (the best I've had so far--perfectly crunchy and tastes clean). I tried a vegan roll, the Velicious Roll, which was pretty tasty (I've yet to have an acquired taste for the orange-colored sauce), as it had crunchy veggies and wasn't filled with a bunch of red cabbage like what I've had at other sushi places. If there's space at the sushi bar, we like to sit there and watch the chefs do their thang! I was visiting my parents out in Corona when they suggested we try out this sushi spot. I didn't have high expectations for sushi in Corona, but I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi here was actually quite decent, even though it wasn't anything overly fancy; they nailed the basics. We opted for the sushi boat, which included various nigiri sushi, mixed sashimi, a spicy tuna roll, rainbow row, and some delectable fried tempura. Every piece of fish tasted incredibly fresh, and the sashimi was expertly sliced, with nice, thick cuts. To add some variety, we ordered Hamachi Kamas (yellowtail collars), and they were cooked to perfection - a lovely char on the outside with moist, flavorful flesh on the inside. They came with a delightful ponzu dipping sauce that complemented them nicely. The Naruto roll, a rice-less roll wrapped in cucumbers, was a refreshing surprise. It had a clean, fresh taste that was quite enjoyable. We rounded off this delightful meal with some tempura matcha ice cream, which turned out to be so delicious that we ended up ordering three servings of it! All in all, this sushi spot in Corona is a solid choice for the area. The service was on point our server was nice enough to help us take a photo. Great sushi place with vegan options! We stopped by on a Sunday and we're able to immediately get a table. I was pleasantly surprised to see there is a Vegan section on the menu with lots of different rolls you can get, including specialty rolls. I have visited this sushi restaurant several times in the last 6 months when I'm in the area and it is now one of my favorites. The sushi is always fresh and well prepared and presented. The ambiance is good given that it more resembles a sports bar than a traditional sushi restaurant. I do have to say that the background music would be better if it wasn't quite so loud and possibly more traditional. The service was good and our server (Aiden I believe) was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I had the baked salmon with crab, shrimp tempura avocado and salmon which was very nice. Went for dinner the other day. First thing I noticed was the smell of sewage. They have a plumbing problem. I ordered simple, shrimp tempura and a crunch roll. We had to ask for everything. They served the check without serving the sushi we ordered. Very apologetic, but we were not the focus of their attention for sure. Sushi was okay. Not that great. MoMo's blows them away. Top notch service from when I call to when I arrive to pickup my order. I have not dined in, but the inside is very clean. Theres no AYCE, but the roll prices are good, and the quality is great. I love the salmon ceviche roll. I'll definitely be frequenting more often. read more

Richard is the owner. They close at 9:30 not 10. Drove a pretty far ways for him to say he doesn't know how to update his advertising to the correct times of closing. Last call and closing time is 9:30 not 10pm. (I arrived at 9:32 for a to go order) Last time I came at 9:15 and I still couldn't order. :-/ It looks like they don't get a lot of business which is why the closing times change. So if you wanna give them a try arrive before 8pm to be on the safe side I wouldn't come after 8pm. read more

Been here a couple of times now, they have a very good selection of rolls, sushi, and combinations. It's a big venue for a Sushi restaurant and they have alot of TVs if you also want to watch your favorite sports team. The specials do not seem to change much from the times i have been there, but the Happy Hour menu is definitely a bargain. It is super clean, the staff is very attentive, and our food always came out quickly and presented well. Our only knock is the piped in music can be pretty loud so takes away from the dining experience, but they have turned it down upon request. Parking is really good, and they are conveniently located right off the freeway. Our favorites so far are the Shrimp Tempura Appetizer, Salmon Skin Hand roll, Crunch Roll, CA roll, Green Monster. Im kind of shocked this place has so many good reviews. That was not my experience at all. I came here with my family and alllll the sushi tasted almost exactly the same and we were trying to figure out what it was. It was the excessive overuse of the sriracha Mayo and the eel sauce and all the sauces. The rolls might be good but I wouldn't know since it all tasted like sauce.
