I have been coming here for years now. Unfortunately, although still super popular and crowed they have a bar, sushi section, music and the main room of hibachi grills the service has just kind of went down hill a bit. Reservation at 7pm, seated within minutes but food didn't start cooking until 7:36pm cook was really friendly, fast and did all the tricks such as the volcano, heartbeat and knife spinning. Got my drink wrong, did not cook or serve one of my proteins. Also I noticed the noodles had no veggies on them.

Came here for a friends birthday. Pretty cool place to eat. You sat around a fire grill and a chef cooked for you. Made it into a show which made it more entertaining. The server takes your order and brings you out your appetizers first as the chef is cooking what you ordered. They also sell sushi rolls on the side. Definitely a fun place to bring the kids.

What an awesome experience, Adam was our chef and he delivered dinner and a show! 5 star service!! He was entertaining and cooked all of our orders perfectly, checked in for food allergies and our server stayed on top of service, swapping out dishes and having our drinks topped off. Portions are big and everything was fresh! Quality food and superb service. There was plenty of parking, inside is a relaxed atmosphere, all the staff was helpful. We enjoyed a drink at the bar before being seated and they have TV's to watch games.

Shogun special every time from favorite Chef Hugo!!!

We enjoy celebrating at Shogun and have been there several times but ever since Hugo cooked for us we always request him if he's on shift. Hugo is a great cook and the food is delicious. The entire staff is courteous and the Samurai setting is cool.

    Having fun cooking

First and foremost the service. From the moment we were welcome in by the hostess Joe immediately he exhibited a greeting with a genuine smile. After realizing my son had Autism his compassion was breathtaking he was quick to help making my son happy while waiting 30min for a table. Then while waiting the gentleman at the Sushi Bar (Emilio). Who Was so kind and helpful enough to point out happy hour and I had the best shrimp tempura so fresh and hot, not oily. When we got to our table, our server who also greeted us with a kind smile and thanked us for our patience, Alyssa was so thoughtful and kind and generous and compassionate again towards my son with autism. You have to understand that I was beyond touched by all these people's kindness and generosity because people normally ignore someone with special needs or an elderly person every staff there took the time to talk to him and acknowledge him as if though he was just another normal customer or young child. Then we get our amazing chef Adam this man can cook. I strongly recommend asking for him when going there you will not be disappointed in anything he makes. Normally, I do not order the chicken because it's always dry and just not very flavorful however, Adam knows how to use garlic butter and pepper. It was fantastic. He was also so playful with my son. He even went above and beyond to make a bunny rabbit out of the rice. I then went over to talk with the managers, Analy, Samantha, and Jonathan and I could see why all these employees are such kind hearted people because they are being led by a team That is as sweet, nice and compassionate as everybody I encountered from the moment, I walk-through the doors. I strongly encourage you if you're reading this to have all family or business functions at this location hats off to Shogun's in Corona for showing that compassion and appreciation for you choosing to dine at their location and going above and beyond, in customer service is still taught and modeled by upper management. The restaurant was very clean family friendly and entertaining.

Server didn't pre buss our table. Left all this when dropping the check

Fined here on 11/20 and checked out at 1pm. I believe our servers name was Steve? Awkward customer service. No pre-bussing of the table. Service was slow. Our server was found in the back on his phone while several tables sat waiting. We also waited way too long for our cash change to be returned. Severs should carry a bank if they have to wait for change from someone else especially during the lunch hour. Will not be back to dine here.

We had the absolute pleasure of being served by a shotgun chef Adam who was nothing short of outstanding. From start to finish, the experience was smooth, efficient, and genuinely impressive. He handled everything with confidence and skill, moving quickly without ever making us feel rushed. The food came out perfectly timed and incredibly flavorful you could tell he really knows his craft. Beyond the quality of the cooking, his professionalism and attitude stood out the most. He was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel effortless. It's rare to find someone who works with such precision while still bringing great energy to the space. If you ever get the chance to work with him, consider yourself lucky he truly elevates the entire dining experience. Highly recommend! Honorable mention is also our waitress Elisha

Went to Shogun Restaurant to celebrate my birthday for the first time, and we felt welcome the second we walked in. The manager, Eric, was immediately friendly and made our entire experience memorable. On top of that, the food was amazing. My wife said the filet mignon was the best thing she's ever had, and the garlic butter was incredible. Thank you again, Eric, for the great service you and your team provided--we truly appreciated it. We'll definitely be coming back soon... this time to try the sushi!!

Shogun is my favorite Teppan restaurant ! They have the best options for vegans and vegetarians. They will cook my food first and separate so as to not mix with the meat on the grill. They have the very best dish - Tofy Delight The fried tofu is delicious with teriyaki or sauce or without and the portion size is quite large. Big enough to share because everyone wants to try what you have ! The veggies are onions mushrooms zucchini and red peppers - delicious! Always great service here. In my experience if you have a reservation and there are not enough people to fill a table, they will seat you and cook just for you. I appreciate that. Great food and great service. One of Our families favorite restaurants. Any of the Shoguns Corona, Rancho Cucamonga or La Verne.

Excellent dinner experience!!! If you make a reservation, request ADAM as your chef - that sir was a stud!!! ADAM cooked everything to perfection and included all of the kids & adults in his conversation/jokes during the show, We will be back, maybe tomorrow! Thanks ADAM!!!

I always have a positive experience at this Shogun. Fresh sushi, delicious filet mignon, and the service was terrific. Lauren was an excellent server and chef Oswaldo was amazing. Great food, great service, and a relaxing environment. It's here!

They have an impressive menu, very diverse. I like that you can order either large sushi rolls, or the smaller, Happy Hour, 5 pc. size so you can try more and not hate yourself as much when you waddle out the door. The rolls are beautifully made, made with very fresh ingredients, the ratio of rice to filling is perfect (i.e. not too much rice), and the rice is nicely flavored. Their tempura has great flavor, the poke salad is outstanding, the miso soup is rich, not watered down, but the biggest "prize" IMHO is the fish collar (kama), either salmon or hamachi. Here is where you separate the men from the boys. They do not sell old kama that has come from a food supplier's bag, frozen. They only use fresh, the same quality as their sushi, because it comes from the same whole fish they have selected to filet for sushi. Taste it and you know you have hit the jackpot. Before they broil it, they simply slather Japanese mayo on it and salt & pepper. There is something about the mayo that makes it sing a whole new tune. The kama is moist, tender, and comes with their tasty, house ponzu sauce. It's a real treat. Bonus points for being very reasonably priced relative to other sushi houses and they tend to be larger as well. To take advantage of the Happy Hour menu, it is available every day of the week. Monday through Thursday until 7pm, Friday through Sunday until 5 pm. It's an abbreviated menu but has great choices, fairly priced. Their service is tops, seating is limited (probably not more than 40), the interior is warm and quaint, and parking is no problem. And don't forget to respond to their friendly farewell with a duplicate, heartfelt "See you tomorrow" as you leave! Enjoy!

Once you step in you are greeted by the host, who offers you a VIP loyalty card which is free to sign up for (if you visit their restaurant and spend a certain amount, you get a discount on future dining). The interior of the restaurant is modern and elevated, it is a great place to take a date, or dine with a group of 4-6 people. What we ordered: Pink whisper drink 7/10- light & refreshing Ankimo 9/10- fresh &creamy Chilean sea bass 8/10- I like to try CSB at every restaurant I visit that has it on the menu. Their seabass is good, but I've had better. Truffle udon 7/10- creamy & udon cooked al dente (just how I like it). Sashimi deluxe platter 10/10: my boyfriend and I had not seen any photos of the sashimi deluxe pot that we ordered, so as soon as the server brought it out, our eyes widened and jaws dropped. First of all, the platter was absolutely beautiful , there was dry ice that was cascading out of the bamboo fixture, like a waterfall, over the bed of ice, and pieces of the sashimi weee decorated with fresh wasabi and 18K gold. Our server gave us a presentation, so that we knew what we were eating, and once we picked up the first piece of sashimi with our chopsticks and ingested it, it was LOVE at FIRST BITE! Although most of the items were tried were good. The Sashimi was the definite star for us. My boyfriend and I agreed that our main focus to order on our next visit is the sashimi. Tenmaya has become my favorite Sashimi restaurant in town!

Anyway... After perusing through the menu, which had quite a few blacked out items (black tape applied over the menu item) we both decided on the Tonkatsu Spicy Black Ramen Noodles as well a the Crispy Fried Rice appetizer... the appetizer was delivered but I had to request some small individual plates so that we could eat off of our own plate, rather than reaching over trying to share the same plate and making a mess on the table... no worries, small oversight (or so I thought at the time)... Next came the Ramen... Looked very appetizing, but again I had to get up and request a couple of soup spoons... went to dig in, and while the bottom of the bowl was warm, the broth itself was quite cold... after calling over the waitress and asking them to please reheat (even if they had to use the microwave)... the waitress took it back to the "open" kitchen and they used the microwave to reheat... The bowls were returned and as we started to eat, satisfied that the broth was indeed hot, we noticed a couple of items missing: the corn - no corn in the broth like it was described... in addition to that, no Wood Eared Mushrooms were in the broth either... the wood eared mushrooms set the "black" apart from the standard ramen and cost $.50 more per serving... when questioned about it, the hostess informed us that they didn't have any mushrooms... as a consolation, she offered us one of the "extra price" toppings in place if it... we opted for the tofu... a bowl of tofu pieces came out and although they appeared to have steam coming off of it, the tofu was cold as well... smh... The hostess returned them to to kitchen to be reheated... We received a 10% discount ($4.90 of of a $49 bill)... Not sure if they're going to make it with this level of service and food quality... Good Luck!

Yoshioishi Sushi & Ramen had solid reviews, so we decided to pivot and give it a try. First impression: the menu is extensive. It's one of those places where you almost don't know where to start. The fan favorites are marked with a red flower, which helped narrow things down. We also asked our server for suggestions, which made it easier to navigate. We arrived just before 5pm and there was only one other table. We were told to sit anywhere we'd like. By the time we left, the restaurant was filling up and it seemed like there were quite a few regulars coming in. Here's what we tried: Salted edamame: Just average. A bit limp and not as crisp as I'm used to, so they didn't feel especially fresh. Gyoza: Really nice flavor and the dipping sauce was well balanced. These were solid. Yellowtail jalapeño sashimi: This was different in a good way. It had cilantro and a slightly sweeter sauce instead of the traditional garlic ponzu. Unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. Crispy chicken karaage: Slightly over fried but still flavorful. The dipping sauce helped. Crispy rice with spicy tuna: Just okay. One piece barely had tuna on top. Not bad, but not something I'd reorder. Cucumber salad: Served on a bed of iceberg lettuce, which surprised us, but the dressing had great flavor. This disappeared quickly. Nigiri: The salmon was incredibly fresh and one of the highlights. The albacore and toro came topped with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the salmon and albacore. The toro didn't quite melt in your mouth like we hoped. It was a bit chewy. Crazy Salmon Roll: Good flavor, but note that the salmon on the outside is fully cooked. We expected raw, so just something to keep in mind. Snow Mountain Roll: A fan favorite at the table. Great texture and flavor. Plain udon and plain ramen: Both were excellent. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. We definitely over ordered, but we left very full. One small detail for fellow tea lovers: I always look forward to hot tea at a Japanese restaurant, especially when it's served in a small pot you can refill at the table. Here it was hot water with a tea bag in a metal cup, which was too hot to comfortably hold, and there was no teapot provided. Not a deal breaker, but next time I'd probably skip the tea. Service was strong. In addition to our main server, two other team members checked in and refilled water regularly, which we appreciated. Overall, I'd call it a 3.5 if that were an option, so I'm landing at 3 stars. The food was decent, the atmosphere comfortable, and the service attentive. It didn't completely wow us, but we're glad we tried it.
