Went to Shoe City in Orange, Ca. Fabian has an immaculate store. Great service and prices. Wanted a third pair of shoes, but he didn't have the size. He called a few places. Found them at this store in Bellflower. He spoke to the lady asked her to save that pair since it was the same item and price. He even verified the shoe size and price. I bought Converse high top sneakers for my granddaughter less than 90 days ago. The size became loose from the soul in the arch and on the outboard side of the shoe. I returned the shoes to the store and they said that they don't warranty anything after 30 days. And I said I didn't see anything like that signage in the store. The clerk indicated that it's on your receipt. I don't know about you but I don't keep my receipts for shoes for 90 days but even so we're not talking about returning shoes that were not wanted or wore out too soon. We're talking about a pair of shoes that were defective from the onset. The clerk and the helper that was in the store both acknowledged that there's nothing they could do but gave me a phone number for customer service which I called immediately. That was over 24 hours ago and I can only leave a message. Thus far nobody has called me back and I doubt that anyone will. For any company that doesn't stand behind their products I don't think they deserve our business. If they sell defective products they should make good on it not tell customers the 30-day warranty is out so too bad. You're out your $75.00. read more

I stopped in to buy white shoelaces. I was greeted by a girl who asked me to leave my backpack at the front counter. That would be a hell NO! I told her I was here to buy shoelaces that are behind the cash register. Within seconds I left pretty mad. First of all, not everyone that walks in this store is there to steal! Note to the owner of this store....train your employees better! Possibly have more than one employee working at a time. One to help customers and one to ring up customers. If I had listened to this girl and left my backpack at the front counter and one of your customers walked offed with it or one of your employees stole something out of it. It's a BIG LIABILITY on your part. I will NEVER SHOP at your store again. Reading a lot of other yelp reviews it a wonder you are still in business. read more

Purchased non slip work shoes for 70 dollars, well they weren't non slip. They suck! Tried to return them because not only were they not non slip they gave me blisters on my heels, well they wldnt even exchange them 4 another pair. Girl at front fcking rude as hell, told me to call customer service. Called customer service 3 xs never returned my call. This place is bullshit, go any where else to buy ur shoes even walmart has better shoes then this place, for half the price. Browsed around a bit. Didn't find anything in my size. Not one person offered to help. Left with nothing, the door alarm went off when I left and again when my daughter left. The guy in the back came out and yelled "Whatcha Got?!" Nothing! We both replied and held up our hands. I walked through the turn-style with my hands up. I felt like an inmate at a prison. Who doesn't love a good deal?? Shoe City sells a variety of affordable footwear whether you're in need of sandals, workout shoes, or boots! Popular brands such as Uggs, Converse, Vans, and Nike are sold at a steal! Backpacks, socks, and a few other miscellaneous items are all sold throughout the store as well. Although customers are surrounded by good deals, they are on their own. Customer service is horrible. No one asks if they can help you and if you do ask them for help, they basically just stare at you and barely make an effort. This place is good if you already know what you want or looked it up online ahead of time. If you're wanting to browse I suggest going to the next closest Shoe City which is on 17th St. And Tustin. They have an even bigger store with slightly better service. read more

Went in last night with my two kids. Juan was completely rude to the point when we walked out my 8 YO daughter asked why he was so mean. He was standing around us the whole time almost following us around and I even asked him if he needed something and he ignored me and walked away. Beware of Mexican Manager Female and Female India worker , that clearly did it understand anything regarding customer service. Don't get tricked into buying socks!!!!!when trying on shoes!!!! I haven't written a review in awhile but had to share how awful the customer service is at this place. We came here Saturday 12/28 around 1 pm. My two kids and I walked in (there were no other customers in the place) two employees were talking amongst each other and did not even greet us. I had to actually approach the lady or teenage girl to ask for help and it actually felt like I was interrupting there conversation. So after I asked for help finding a specific shoe, she looked at me confused like I should know where the shoes are. My son tried on one pair and then I was over it and ready to go. If you need help with shoes don't go here. I will never return to this place again and I will continue to spread the word on how bad the service is and to take your business elsewhere. read more

The staff have that hurry up and buy type of attitude. They leave me alone when I'm in there but they won't leave my mom alone or won't stop following her around and as soon as she picks up a shoe they immediately say "are you done?" Like no I'm just seeing if I like it I'll let you know. They also get in your personal space. I feel extremely rushed when I'm in there and no one looks like they enjoy working there. read more

Came in looking for some boots and the girls that were working were pretty either clueless or wanted to be done with the day. I was asking her about boots for hiking not so much for style & she was like no. Which I can understand because not every location carries shoes like those. I was hoping for boots but shoes were needed none the less. I asked the girl if there were some shoes with grip. She asked what size my daughter was & after I told her she points out the shoes in that size....with no kind of grip on it. I'm sure if you ask hey you have this ahoe in X size they'll be able to find it but other than that big waste of time. I decided we go to another store and come to find out one of the employees was keeping an eye on us from outside. Guess she thought we were going to steal some shoes? We're outside the Shoe City off of Tustin & 17th & guess what 1.) we found the shoes I was looking for & 2.) I wasn't watched like a criminal. I was watched like a hawk, eyes burning into the back of my head as I searched for comfortable work shoes. The elderly shoe overlord never once offered any assitance in the hip and fashionably designed botique. The lady helping us out was actually really nice and quick in finding my shoe size. She made the process really quick and easy. However, the manager was not cooperative at all. He was really rude and refused to let me spin. While I was shopping he was rushing me to leave and made me feel pressured be to leave the store. I'm thinking about returning a pair of adidas because I didn't have time to think the transaction through because he was rushing me. I'm never going back to that store again. Shoe City's are cool, because they are on the street so you do not have to deal with a mall parking lot and take the time walking the distance to your desired store! They are never very crowded and it is easy to get help when you need it! They have all the latest styles and sizes. Mens and womens, Tennis shoes only though, from Nike, Converse, DVS, plus many more. They had really cute girls totes along the walls, accessories always catch my attention! Their prices are great!! The box may say one thing, but when it is time to pay you realized you saved $20! read more

This place is a rip off. Bought a pair of Filas. And after two months, both shoes were cracked on the bottom like it was split in half. I've bought cheap shoes at swap meets that lasted for years. And they refused to do anything about it. Even their customer service said "there's nothing I can do." I get the 30 day warranty. But it's like they cross their fingers and hope nothing happens to the shoes until after the 30 days. "If your shoes tear up after 30 days, screw you we got your money, not our problem." That should be their motto. Could've at least made SOME attempt to fix it and make things right. Don't waste your money here. read more
