I called Shockley Honda to discuss the cost of purchasing a 2024 CRV Sport. The dealership prides themselves on their transparency and fair pricing. When I received the pricing from Shockley it included a charge of $560 for 3 accessories that they add to all of the new CRV's they receive from Honda. See photo below for details. Since, I would have to order ny car I told Shockley to not put accessories on my vehicle. I was told by the sales representative, Jared, that they even if I opted out of them I would still be charged. See text below as Jared explains. I then received a call from a sales manager named Paul. He informed me that they have been doing this for the past three years and having these items automatically added to each CRV is their business model. I told Paul that I'm pretty sure that charging for items that aren't on the vehicle is illegal. ( see text with Jared's explanation) The inflexibility is ridiculous. Go to another Honda dealership that is fair.

This was the fastest car buying process I've ever experienced. Bill was the salesperson that helped me out and he was pleasant from start to finish. He wasn't pushy and he listened the entire time. Dante was also great during the negotiation process and made sure I was satisfied with everything before finalizing the details. He was very approachable and made the experience stress-free as possible. A minor hiccup which led me to knock off a star was finding finger print marks on the ceiling of the drivers side. I completely missed this during the full inspection before driving it off the lot. The salesperson had missed it as well so I had to call and bring the car back because it looked like oil from a mechanics hand. Dante was very apologetic about the situation. I wasn't excited about driving back to Frederick to get it cleaned but mistakes happen. It's a brand new car so I expected it to be spotless inside and out. They offer the Shockley Advantage with a purchase of a new vehicle which I'm very pleased about. It comes with 100 free car washes, lifetime engine warranty, and more. Thank you Shockley Honda!

Dropped off my vehicle at 7:15 am on a Friday for a scheduled appointment. Called at 2 pm for an…read moreupdate and didn't hear back until two hours later, only to be told they hadn't even looked at it and were "hoping" to get to it by lunch Saturday afternoon--leaving me without a vehicle all day when I could've scheduled differently. I brought it in for a rear differential issue under warranty after my mechanic found significant metal and visibly worn gears during a recent fluid service (which I also saw myself). On Saturday, I got a text just 45 minutes before closing saying it was ready--no other info provided. Picked up the next business day (Monday) due to late notice. I was charged additionally for "adding" differential fluid due to "low level" even though it had just been serviced two weeks earlier. On top of that, they claimed there were no worn gears or issues, directly contradicting what was clearly visible two weeks prior. Poor communication, questionable charges, and a completely dismissive assessment. Would not recommend

I saw a car online I was interested in and I called the dealership. I was unable to get there on the day I called as I had the flu and we were juggling one car. I asked if the car could please be held until Thursday. The man on the phone said there were actually two of them on the lot and sure they could do that. I got a call Thursday around noon that the one vehicle left that I was coming to test drive was being sent to the Lexington Park site and she "goofed up" as she did not do something within the computer to keep the car there. There was a similar vehicle at the Germantown location that costs a bit more. I told her I was willing to look at and test drive that one if the price was negotiable for this mess she had just put me through. She retrieved the car and I went there to test drive it. The car's exterior was FILTHY. The black car was almost yellow. We drove it and it seemed fine. We returned and we noticed a lot of small nicks in the paint. We pointed them out to her and said due to the car's filth we can't tell if it's dirt or paint chips. She took it to the car wash and came back and there were chips EVERYWHERE. I said "Well, how much are willing to take off the price?" She said, no, this is a price tag dealership. We don't do that. So, despite what she said on the phone, they were going to do NOTHING. Then, she had the NERVE to text me the next day and said they would not change the price, but would "try to do that best they can" to clean up the paint job. If you are going to consider this place, show up and look at the cars and make sure they are clean as they may be hiding damage.

Can't say enough about Fred and David. They both went above and beyond. I found the perfect…read morevehicle and flew in from Boston. The vehicle was ready and staged upon my arrival. Fred and I went for a ride and clearly explained everything to me and made the experience unbelievable. David had the paperwork started and we finished in record time. I was in and out within two hours. Drove back to Boston that afternoon. Everyone at the dealership was extremely friendly and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
