I have come here a few times in the past month during a lunch break and have had decent experiences every time. Each time we have gone we have had the same waiter as he must be their weekday lunch time server - he definitely does work and is very friendly - he seems to be the only waiter most times so service can get slow if they are busy. Each time I have gone I have tried a different one of their burgers. The first one I tried was the Monkey Fist - which has been the best of my burger-ventures there. The Monkey Fist has 3 cheeses - American, Swiss and Cheddar, the typical fixings of lettuce, tomato, onion - but here comes the good stuff - sauteed onions, bacon, mushrooms and fried egg to boot - this thing is huge, its juicy, its delicious! I think their burgers typically come with chips - I upgrade to waffle fries cause their waffle fries are crisp and crunchy, and fried to delicious perfection. My 2nd burger outing was the Marinated Balsamic burger - this was alright - it has pesto, tomato and fresh mozz (the fresh mozz is really why I ordered this) - the pesto could have been more flavorful - really the tomato and mozz overpowered it and instead tasted like just a caprese salad-esque burger. My latest venture with them was the Pinta Burger - its a tex-mex style burger with jalapenos and pepper-jack cheese - again could have been a little better. When you tell me tex-mex flavors - I expect big, bold flavors - especially when theirs jalapeno on it - and it was lacking the big and bold, and was a bit more mild. Maybe mine just wasn't seasoned enough - who knows. Neither the balsamic or the Pinta were bad burgers - they just didn't live up to the monstrosity that was the Monkey Fist - perhaps I shouldn't have started with what clearly read as the best burger first! If you order smart here you can easily eat something delicious - but be a bit more selective. Don't just order a chicken quesadilla cause you don't want to go out of the box - they have some really interesting options here - like their sesame coriander tuna - beautiful presentation and delicious flavor. read more

I very rarely write reviews but tonight I feel the need. My sister and I decided to try Ship's Pub after seeing their specials on their website. When we arrived we stood in the door way lost and confused. No one greeted us or directed us to a seat and there was no signage in plain sight. Finally we decided to make our way to a table ourselves and proceeded to wait for our server to join us. The specials we saw online were nowhere to be found and there was no cocktail menu so we decided to order our regular go to drinks - a cucumber martini and a classic margarita. The bartender muddled a cucumber for the martini which was a pleasant surprise but upon asking for a little extra simple syrup on the side to sweeten it up a tad, I was told they didn't have simple syrup. They indeed had sugar and access to hot water, along with a full bar of liquor, but no simple syrup. The margarita was topped with a discolored lime and tasted as if the sour mix was watered down resulting in the drink almost being clear. The food arrived quickly but was mediocre to say the very least. Overall I'd say the staff was trying but ultimately they weren't set up for success and every step of service left us completely disappointed. read more

Unless you want to line the pockets of the bartenders you get ripped off. Had 2 regular house vodkas 16.00 with a 4.00 tip. Paten next to me had 3 vodkas, 1 wine plus a shot and paid 15.00 however his tip must have been a lot larger then 5.00. Last week 3 house wines 21.00. You can drink at better places and pay less for house wines or vodkas. I forgot to mention that I was a regular there but not anymore. I don't have the deep pockets for the bartenders read more

I tried this place for the first time on yesterday. Might I say that I loved it!! It's very convenient for me. I went just to try something new & to go study. If you're the type of person that needs a very quiet place to study this wouldn't be for you; however, depending on the time of the day it could be ok. I went around 4:00pm on a Monday. The food was amazing. Very hot! It was so much I could barely eat it all! I'm guessing they're known for their beer. I'm not a beer fan. One day when I have more free time & I'm not studying I'll go for a few drinks! It's in the middle of nowhere, lol but it's a pretty cool, chill place. Oh & the staff are great!! I had the misfortune of going to Ship's Pub today (1/11/2018) for lunch. We got there at 12:30 to a fairly empty (not busy) dining room. Three tables were well into their meal. We sat and waited. The waitress came over and asked if we'd like anything to drink. I asked for water and my husband asked for ginger ale. After about 10 minutes, two people from where I work came in and sat near us. Their drink orders were taken and we still hadn't gotten ours. When she did bring the ginger ale, she didn't have my water. She asked what I'd like to drink (again) and again I asked for water. My lunch partner and I ordered salads - mine was a taco salad and his a Cobb salad. After 35 minutes of waiting - mind you now there was only one other party of two in the dining room and two at a high top near the bar - the waitress comes out with meals for the other party in the room. They had CLEARLY gotten there after us and their orders were taken AFTER ours. No word from the waiterss. About two minutes later at 1:13, our meals came out. His Cobb salad was missing the chicken, and my taco salad was nothing special...especially after having to wait so long. The ground beef looked like mini meatballs - not ground down - and was flavorless. The black olives tasted like they'd been in an open can for too long. I asked for to-go containers as soon as we were served. When we called the waitress and told her about the missing chicken, she went back to the kitchen and brought out a piece of chicken and said, "we're training a new cook in the back. Sorry about that." She never inquired how things were, etc. I barely touched the taco salad as I was frustrated and had to get back to work. She asked if we still needed the to go containers, and when we said no, she never inquired as to why not. She just took them and left. She cashed us out rather quickly. I will NEVER go back. Risotto, located in the same plaza, will cook a meal for you that is delicious and comes out in less time than it took to have two salads prepared. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Staff needs training badly. I told my co-workers about my experience, and others said they'd had similar experiences. I work in Corporate Woods and the location is convenient, but, I repeat, I WILL NEVER GO BACK. You've lost a customer, and I will be sure to tell as many people in my building at Corporate Woods about my experience. read more

We've heard some really good things about the new Ship's Pub so we decided to check it out. They didn't have a website, so I was unable to peruse the menu before we went to determine exactly what I could eat, being that I must eat gluten free. We sat at the bar and noticed the cook/chef came out so hubby asked if we could speak to him directly. He looked less than thrilled (I'm sure he probably thought we were going to complain about something, but we had just gotten there). Hubby explained I can't have any gluten and asked what he might suggest I order. His response? "Everything is safe". Uh, no, it's not.....unless you want me to come back here in a few hours and throw up all over you (or worse)! He obviously has NO CLUE what gluten free means, which is scary. I ended up having a Surf & Turf salad which included 3 nice sized chunks of grilled sirloin and 3 large grilled shrimp. Hubby had a cup of chili and the hot wings. Both were excellent and the bartender, Holly, was very nice and helpful. They have $2 draft (any beer) specials 11am-7pm Monday through Friday which will definitely bring hubby back. So let me preface this with I don't frequent bars and therefore I don't eat bar food. I moved to this neighborhood and on three separate occasions, was either invited to lunch or dinner at Ship's Pub. Suffice it to say, I am now a regular. My kids love the burgers and after having sampling theirs, I must say it is quite good. They have a variety of burgers and I know they are in a regional competition for the best burger. I have had three different salad entrees topped with either grilled salmon, grilled shrimp, or grilled chicken. For the money, you cannot make this salad at home. They are excellent, fresh and plentiful. The service is always very good and the place itself is surprising clean - I inspect the bathroom all the time and it is more than fine. Lastly, their wings are Phenomenal. I placed orders for super bowl Sunday, and everyone raved about them. I didn't want to like this place, and have now found this to be my very own "Cheers". We were on the turnpike and traffic was at a standstill. Got off at exit 6 and started to look for a place to get dinner hoping the traffic jam would be gone when we were done. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our server recommended the burgers. She said they were fantastic. She was right!!! We each had a burger and salad. The burger was as good and possibly better than most burgers we've had. The bun was toasted and crunchy on the inside. The onion rings were delicious. It was a fluke that we ended up here but we will tell everyone we know to stop here if passing thru. read more

Friendly and efficient staff (great young lady bartender). Had a great lunch (excellent waitress) with four friends last Friday. This is my third visit and have not been disappointed. Suggestions are the seafood chowder, American club, chicken panni to name a few. Nice atmosphere. We needed something like this in the area. Glad to see a couple of low tables (for the older crowd) and maybe at happy hour turn the music down a touch so we can have a conversation. Give this place a try! read more

I gave the Ships Pub one star, because the food looked good. I wouldn't know because I didn't get the chance to eat it. My fiance and his co-workers have been ordering lunch takeout from the Ships Pub for awhile now. Last friday we decided to go in around 6 for $2 drafts and dinner. We were ignored by the bartender and when we got a table we were ignored by 2 servers. We sat there waiting for 20 minutes and no one greeted us or acknowledged that were waiting to be served. We decided to get up and leave since they clearly didn't care whether or not they served us. They failed us on every level, how you could you let two customers walk out the door without getting served!? I worked in the food service industry for over 10 years, there is no excuse or reason for ignoring your customers. This experience really bothers me, I still can't believe this happened. read more

We stopped here for a late lunch because we were in the area already. It was quiet with only a few tables occupied and some people at the bar. Our server came over within minutes for our drink order and we had decided we would order our food at the same time. I had the pulled pork sandwich and spouse had Philly Steak sandwich. Food came out pretty quickly. Both sandwiches were HUGE. And very tasty! The french fries were nice and crispy and not at all greasy. Everything was hot. I would definitely go again. read more
