Wife and I went here for brunch and football and had an absolute blast. The waitresses were handling lots of random problems with ease. We had a couple orders of the build your own mimosas and the juices and purees were amazing. I got the eggs in a basket and my wife has the chicken and waffles. We both raved about how good the sausage tasted and we of course had to take down some of the delicious buffalo chicken dip. All were great brunch bites and we will definitely be back here!

Great place to watch football, and the bar service is excellent. Love to sit at the bar and watch the games, have a glass of wine and a delicious salad. The cheese tots and buffalo wrap are a fav of my husband's. We enjoy coming here!

Good service and good food--you can't ask for more. I didn't like the French fries but not everything can be a win. Decent sized portions, too.

Keep in mind I was pretty hungry here lol. Came here to the Guiderland location for the first time with the family. We were seated pretty quickly which is great. The atmosphere seemed pretty vibrant. The tables they sat us at felt like they weren't yet cleaned. Super sticky so points off for that . My margarita was solid so no complaints there. The chicken Ceaser wrap wasn't dry and pretty tasty. The fries at this place were a pleasant surprise. I recommend having them with whatever you order. My daughter said the Buffalo Mac and cheese was tasty and filling. Overall solid experience and I would give at least one more try.

Burrito bowl as served. Pretty ok.

Many vegetarian options including seitan wings. I had the burrito bowl with rice warmed up. Wasn't the special Rice quinoa advertised but ok. Was essentially a rice bowl. I skipped the protein. Not bad. Decent beer selections . Very good service at the bar. Clean. Lots of parking. All TV's on baseball - needed some golf IMHO!

The food there is excellent. I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant and I think that the price for the food is reasonable it's not too low it's not too high it's right where it should be. I believe for what they serve. The service is very good. They have a lot of different People there but the ones who waited on us have been very nice very friendly, very outgoing always attentive to our needs and what we're looking for so we've had no problems with getting our food or getting our service when we needed it. As far as the ambience, it was a clean atmosphere, and they do have a lot of TVs, but unfortunately the wave that it set up you don't have the ability to watch the TV in every seat that you are in you might have to turn your neck and look at the TV to see what in particular game or show that you wanna watch that playing at that time that's the only downside to that place and the only reason why it lost the star. If you're ever in the area, give them a try. Thank you for listening.

We have been anxiously waiting the opening of this restaurant since it was announced that Juniors would be moving in! Went second day of opening and everything was fantastic. No hiccups or opening week issues. We started with the garlic parm wings & my husband got an IPA. Service was great! We ordered a California Cobb Salad and Moonshine Pork Quesadilla as our entrees. Everything was fresh and delicious, but the winner of the night was the moonshine quesadilla - it's definitely a go to for our next visit!! Thanks Junior's for joining the Guilderland neighborhood!!

The tv way up there Not valued as a customer Wont be back here

If you like tennis not the place to I sat at the bar asked if the could put it on the lower of the 5 screens on the side I sat at The channels were changed but not to tennis Us open really And the fact they would not change it not acknowledged I ended up leaving a full beer because the screen it was on was like looking at a skyscraper

    Shameful to even ingest!!

The soft opening menu was in effect at the time of this posting, which included a few appetizers, boneless wings, salads, burgers, sandwiches and a kids menu at fair prices. The menu will be expanding and offering more appetizers, street tacos, and pizzas soon. The atmosphere is old school casual with seating up at the bar, table seating and booths, TVs on the walls. I stopped in at The Hedge Bistro for a late lunch and to cool off on a very sunny and humid day. I sat up at the bar and given their soft opening menu. I got an ice quickly ordered the All American Burger ($13 plus tax) with fries. My food was served to me in 12 minutes after ordering. The burger was served open face with tomato slices, crisp lettuce, red onions, blue cheese crumbles (my choice on top of a firm fresh grilled beef burger patty on a soft toasted bun. The hot golden coated fries were typical crisp outside and soft inside, ketchup cup provided on plate (could've used a bit more). After I was finished, I got the check which was $14.04 with tax before tip (paying cash) or $14.60 with tax before tip (paying by card) and of course I went with the green option. Overall, a pretty good burger and fries lunch in a cool place. Afterwards, I headed back outside towards the greens and it was very steamy out there.

With an expiration date looming and hours reduced with the end of the golf season, we decided to stop in quick before their 6pm closing tonight. Parking lot was nearly empty, and the restaurant and bar had only a few folks seated, but we were welcomed and told we had plenty of time to sit and have a meal. And what a meal we had! We were offered our choice of seating, and chose a booth to spread out in. As there was hardly anyone there, I figured we weren't taking up valuable seating. My only complaint of the evening was the TVs were a bit loud for the size of the "crowd" there - probably turned up to overcome the boisterous golfers who show up after their rounds. The wife and I ordered the Chile Lime Shrimp street tacos. So, so good! Flavorful, and a surprising amount of spicy heat - we made some faces but couldn't help but continue eating that deliciousness! Topped it off with a tasty Speckled Pig Brewing "Restitution" IPA offering and a Guinness for the wife. I don't even like IPAs typically, but it was excellent. Service was incredibly friendly and attentive. While we waited for our food to come out, we received a surprised visit from "Connor, the emotional support dog". I love animals, so I laughed when he just appeared at the table. His owner, who I assume is the owner who runs the restaurant, wasn't too far behind and apologized for the dog's intrusion on our evening, but since we're animal lovers, it was very welcome. We chatted with the owner and visited with Connor, who was such a calm and sweet dog. When our tacos showed up, the owner excused himself and Connor to let us eat. The woman who greeted us when we first came in also checked with us near the end of our meal to ask how we felt about our meal. We had a wonderful time and both of us expressed how impressed we were with our tacos. A second beer for me, and then our most difficult decision was what to try for dessert. The young lady waiting on us gave us a dizzying array of options, all of which sounded excellent, but we settled on a lemon raspberry cake option. I hope we didn't moan too loudly as we enjoyed it so much. Our experience was so enjoyable. I'm thrilled we have yet another gift certificate to use up here, as we'll be looking forward to our next visit. Unfortunately their hours are limited due to the end of daylight and golf season. More people need to come out and enjoy this gem.

The bar offers a few draft beers, wine, and mixed drinks. The main casual dining area has table seating connected with the cozy "pentagon" bar area with windows, which has seating at the bar surrounded by table seating. They also have bigger function rooms for large events and weddings. There is also outside patio seating overlooking the golf course. I stopped by The Pines recently on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon to watch my favorite NY football team on TV. I took a seat up at the bar in front of the TV that had my game on. I was given a menu and an ice water. I decided on a special offering, which was the Salmon Burger ($18 plus tax) served with deli salad, and dill pickle spear. My plate of food arrived in 8 minutes after ordering. The thick salmon burger had a soft housemade salmon patty, leaf lettuce, tomato slice, dill aioli on a toasted brioche bun. The deli salad was a creamy macaroni salad. After my game concluded, I got the check which was $19.44 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food I had was pretty good and the service here was adequate and I was able to take my time here and watch my game. However, since people were coming and going from the outside, there were flies hanging around in the room and I had to shoo several away. Other than that, The Pines Restaurant is a good place for food and drinks, especially after golfing.

We walk into the place and they have a small pizza counter. The bar and restaurant are through the double doors to your left. I don't recall any type of seating at the pizza counter area. I think that's for pickup or if you want to stop in for a couple slices to go. I would imagine they do some slamming slices business during lunch. We walk into the bar area and four people are seated at the bar enjoying their pizzas. We were debating whether to wait to be seated or sit at the bar when the bartender/waitress asked if we were looking to be seated. Yes, we are. She asked if we had reservations. We did not, but she said that was fine. We were seated in the back which was pretty dimly lit. Ambiance. I usually gauge a pie's taste by a plain pie, but I saw they had cupped pepperoni so we had to order a pepperoni pie because I don't know of any other place near us that has cupped pepperoni. We also got the meatballs for an appetizer. For drinks, plain water. Extra water was brought to us in a bottle that was chilled... no ice. Very nice touch. More water that way. The water tasted really clean too. Special mention needs to go to the bartender/waitress who held down the fort all by herself maintaining the bar area and serving out the food to table customers as they were coming out. One group came after us and then another group of six were seated across from us. I don't know about the first group, but the group of six had reservations. We got the meatballs, which come with three as an appetizer. We each took one and my wife asked me, "So, what do you think?" I thought there were really good meatballs. A lot of times they're really dense and the meat tastes weird. These were soft, moist, and very flavorful. We even were eating the sauce out of the bowl afterwards. Really good sauce, full of tomato chunks, not sweet, and not acidy either. It was just perfectly tasty. The group of six with reservations, who got seated AFTER us, got their pizza first. I told my wife that it pays to have reservations. We were cool with that. We know for next time. We got our pie soon afterwards and had to take pictures. It did look really good. The pepperonis were about the size of nickels, perfectly cupped. The crust had the char that I always look for. This looked really promising. We both grabbed a slice, folded it and took a bite of heaven. The bottom crust is thin and crunchy. The sauce and cheese tasted fresh and not plasticky like some cheeses can be. The pepperonis added a nice flavor kick to everything else going on. I then went for the gold. My teeth sank into crust the crunch reverberating throughout my skull. Wow!!! This crust was light, airy, and crunchy. This pie was firing nitro on all cylinders!!! I was so blown away. Even my wife said, "I never saw you enjoy a pizza so much. It was like you were back in NYC." If that isn't an endorsement for Marisa's, I don't know what is. We took half the pie home because I wanted to same some for tomorrow's lunch. We finished the meal with a shared slice of NY Cheesecake. Not as creamy as NJ Diner cheesecake, but definitely hit the marks for a good NY Cheesecake. We left Marisa's with full stomachs and smiles on our faces. We'll be back.
