For two and a half blissful hours, we ate, drank and were very merry. The chef, matthew, is first rate. I mean the real deal. And his kitchen staff were also first rate. Everybody loved their food from burgers to chateaux briande. The service was so good i think i will adopt the waiter mike. Kudos to the bartender justin. The prices were also so reasonable and the food was wow. No wonder we were all so happy. Its hard to imagine the effort it took for two young people, tom and ava make their dream of creating an experience come true. The ambiance was friendly and warm. We waited another 10 minutes at the entrance and the table remained dirty, so I again went to someone and asked for an empty table. There were now at least 3 clean ones around the perimeter. A waitress told us to sit at another cleaned one. We sat and waited another 10 minutes to be acknowledged and get water. We then waited another 10 minutes to be told they didn't have the beer listed on the board that my partner asked for. We would have been better off getting our own beverage at the bar that was just across from us. Then again waited a while to get a second choice. The food was served in a timely manner and was better than I expected after our initial experience. I got a salad I liked, it was super fresh and the chicken was moist and flavorful. My partner liked his burger and fries, it was cooked as ordered and flavorful. The menu is pretty big and looks like there is something for everyone. By this time it had slowed down a bit so we got the check in a timely manner. We sat to casually relax and finish our beer after cashing out on the digital platform (toast). We left and got into the car. When backing out, the waitress was at our window knocking and telling us we didn't pay our bill. Never have I ever experienced this and never would we ever do such a thing. My partner explained no, we paid using the digital platform and that we would never do that and she insisted we did not. After pulling up our digital PAID receipt to show her did she casually say, "Oh, ok." And walk away. Honestly, it was not the way we wanted to end our experience there. The only dish that was not boring and very delicious was the carrot cake, likely from a separate bakery. I wasnt drinking that evening but the draft list contained some exceptional breweries. My son loved the burger, while my husband and I absolutely loved the jumbo wings and what were honestly the best onion rings we've ever had. Before we ordered, the server mentioned that the chefs really know what they're doing--and we 100% agreed after eating. The food was amazing, but what really stood out was the atmosphere. It felt like a place full of regulars, with a very warm and welcoming vibe. The staff seemed genuinely relaxed and happy, and there was a lot of friendly interaction and joking between employees and customers, which I really loved. We had such a great experience that it looks like I'll be signing my son up for more classes :))

The smoked wings were okay, but I am more of a deep-friend Buffalo sauce type of guy and they tasted more like roasted chicken (which... they were). The pizza was very good and the sauce was a little bit sweet but it was nice that it didn't taste jarred. They have their own type of pizza and it worked. I think we came at the right time, as they were setting up for a 12-person party which would have made things really loud. Is there a dance hall upstairs? I dunno, but I never noticed club music.
