Went to Peaches with my boyfriend and his mom this past weekend for some hot chocolate and dessert before hitting the shops around the plaza. As Floridians, we were freezing in the 10° weather and thought hot chocolate would be the perfect way to warm up. Unfortunately, the hot chocolate was only warm, not hot, and it was pretty standard, just like any hot chocolate you'd get anywhere else. We did order the molten lava cake, though, and it was rich and delicious. The cafe itself was a bit cramped, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Service was friendly and attentive, from the moment we walked in to when we left, so no complaints there. Overall, it was an okay experience.

Had a lovely breakfast date with my youngest on a Friday morning. We were seated and ordered right away. Our server, Brittany, was very pleasant. My son had their fresh squeezed orange juice and I had a coffee with added sugar free caramel syrup. My son had the kids Mickey Mouse pancake with chocolate chips and I had the New Orleans omelet with extra marinaded mushrooms and home fries. Delicious and enough to take home for later! Will definitely return.

I was looking for a hearty breakfast/ brunch outside of my usual rotation of eateries. I haven't visited Peaches Cafe in Stuyvesant Plaza in years and decided to give it a try. There was a "pardon our appearance," sign near the entry way. It explained that the business was under renovation. The rug is well worn and the faded ceiling tiles are in need of replacement but the cafe is cozy. It's bathed in yellow light. It was busy at 11am on a weekday. There were families, elderly couples and college students which made for a nice cross section of customers. I was seated immediately by a friendly hostess. Even though I was eating alone, I felt welcomed. My server, Jared, was great. He took my order. Came back to check on me and brought me a little box so I could take the leftovers home. I had picked the Irish Eggs Benedict. It came with corn beef hash instead of the usual ham. Actually, the hash turned out to be large chucks of corned beef. It was delicious. It was the warm and hearty breakfast that I was hoping for. The eggs, hollandaise sauce and home fries were just right. The decaf coffee was good, too. I could only finish half of my meal. I was delighted to have tasty leftovers for the next day. I enjoyed my visit and I look forward to coming back.

I've been coming here for about two years now. It's usually very busy, but I've found it's worth the wait. It's usually less busy on weekdays and most of the crowds show up for brunch, so it's usually much quicker to get seated in the afternoon. I usually stick with the breakfast menu and since it's served all day it's a really nice set of options. My go to is a raspberry tea and the blueberry pancakes. They're filling and delicious, and taste great with syrup or butter. The eggs Benedict is also incredibly good, and the hollandaise sauce is rich and flavorful. The desserts are also excellent- I personally really like the coconut cake. One of the nice things about this place is that it feels like a diner but has the ambience of a cafe- you get a lot of delicious food and there are so many options that even I found more than one thing I love and I'm a notoriously picky eater. You can sit in the window or outside and enjoy the summer air, or in the winter you can stay warm and enjoy a hot bowl of soup. We always have enough for leftovers. Even though some of the stuff on the menu can be pricy, there's enough food that you're really getting what you pay for. I've never had a bad experience here, and my husband and I ate here for breakfast the day after we were married. It's one of our date spots and we will keep coming back!

Stopped here after an early medical appt. Loved the decor (even thought it reminded me slightly of a hotel lobby) but it definitely felt cramped. Our food and drinks were mediocre: mocha latte and chai latte were lukewarm and not very flavorful. Our ham & eggs and sausage & eggs were also just ok: toast was slightly burnt, eggs were ok and the fried potatoes were also ok although I do like that there were not peppers or onions included. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Glad we tried it out but won't be back for breakfast.

Joe's Grill is not a place to go see and be seen. It's not where you go chasing the latest cult beer can release. One might look at it and think it's not a place to go for the food either. Those people would be wrong. Are there regulars in there, sucking down beers on a Saturday afternoon? You bet there are. If you get there early, you might even inadvertently sit in one of their seats. But don't worry about it. You're just visiting. They know you'll be gone before too long. Actually, if you order food, you might be at Joe's longer than you might suspect. The food is cooked to order, and it's worth the wait. The wings are seriously good. Now I want to go back and try the pizza. Actually, I want to try a lot of the things on the menu. I'm not entirely sure about the dining room. There's a pool table right in the middle. And while nobody was playing, I found sitting at the bar felt like a much more natural place to be. But this isn't the place to come with a group. They have beer on tap. But beer in bottles is probably a better option. Judging by the empties, It looks like they go through a lot of bottles, so I would expect product cycles through with some regularity. When drinking macro brews, I prefer them to be impossibly cold. But old refrigerators aren't quite up for the task. Still, that's okay. Because do you know what Joe's has that places with colder refrigerators don't? Character. And it's not a character that can be created or imitated. You can't artfully decorate your way to a soulful bar on a forgotten stretch of Central Avenue. But you should find a way to get yourself there. For fried fatty foods, beer in bottles, and some classic rock on the jukebox. It feels wrong to take an Uber or a Lyft. Maybe you can have the car pick you up or drop you off next door, and you can walk the 90 feet to Joe's. Then maybe you could feel like you're part of the neighborhood. More than anything else, this is a neighborhood tavern. And Albany's taverns are this region's diamonds in the rough. They may not look like much, but the culinary and cultural wealth they hold inside is staggering.

It's not like a boot camp chow hall but more of a casual BBQ spot where you can spin on a sweet tea and enjoy some ribs. It's nice to see there's pride for the Armed Forces as well as the people who serve and protect. I stopped in for lunch. I know I'm going to BBQ the next day so I pass on the brisket and I ordered the grilled shrimp. The counter person tells the the cook one order of Grilled Shrimp and in about a minute I had my plate. I grabbed a sweet tea, sat in a booth and enjoyed my lunch. Mission BBQ? That was a fantastic lunch! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. Mike Charlie

Last time I ordered the three meat sampler for $22. There were two small pieces of brisket (each about 2 inches long) two small slices of sausage and a cup size of pulled pork. This price did not include sides. The service is great and the atmosphere is typical of all other Mission BBQ I have been in but this location seems to be more strict on portion control. I see everything being measured on the scale which is not a bad thing, every business needs to make money but in my opinion the price did not justify the meal. Pulled pork was great, brisket was moist and tender and the extra sides I ordered were good so no problem with the food.

The color scheme is amazing, and the service is second to none. They move efficiently throughout the restaurant; they don't have just one person assigned to each table but use a group approach, and you can order at the table with the app, which is cool. Bartender Benny was great! The food, I'll say, was fair. I do believe the prices don't fully reflect the quality, but the overall feel is great. The champagne machine is a great touch, so that was unique. This is a very upscale brunch, but it's worth the hype for the decor. Parking is not the easiest, but it's worth it.

I started to order using the QR code but it was involved so simply order at the counter. The server will give you a table number and you can relax before your order is delivered. My coffee drink was served incorrectly in a to go container despite having an in house table marker and having my food brought to me. I waited in line at the counter and asked if my drink order was correct? The sever asked if I liked espresso?? I replied by showing him the display picture of the drink and his response was Oh we were out of glasses. The pastry was fluffy and crusty but not as substainal as it appears before you take a bite. Despite the service issue the items I ordered were well flavored and delicious . I would return and try a full menu item.
