Went for breakfast recently. It was a nice atmosphere. Busy but still had good service. Food and drinks were good. Would go back and would like to sit a little longer . Felt a bit rushed .

Great place to come with friends. The menu has something for everyone. I loved my cinnamon oat cappuccino! It's seat yourself and scan the QR code to order and pay.

When traveling from NYC to Vermont we decided to pick out a nice coffee shop on the way that was near a Tesla charging station. There's a mall near the scene where they have plenty of charging spots and it's a short 7 minute walk from the station to the coffee shop. There's quality of the products was very high and we truly enjoyed it. However, it does come with a high price tag. It is money well spent, it is just more than what we expected for a spot in upstate New York. Nonetheless, the food was great and our matcha/coffees were great. Service was very straight forward. We ordered off our phones and they brought out our food. The ambiance was great and loved the vibe of the restaurant. I will be coming back next time I take this route to go upstate.

I came here with my boyfriend for a nice breakfast stop on a roadtrip and we loved it. You order through a QR code and got the food very quickly. We both got egg sandwiches that we loved and shared some toast with nut butter and fruit on it that was delicious. I also got a fancy maple something latte that I loved! Overall it was a great experience, just very pricey but the place was really nice so it made sense.

So happy there's a new breakfast lunch coffee place in town. Consistently 'great' food. Hip vibe. It's bright and cheerful and has a NYC feel. Lots of people conversing at tables rather than sitting on their laptops. You seat yourself and scan the QR for service and food selection. Great atmosphere nicely lit, lots of windows, with a big exterior space that's enclosed in the winter for the overflow. Down the road is Uncommon Grounds, which I enjoy, but I get tired of bagels and listening to people yell out order numbers. The Scene has a warm, relaxed feel, a good kind of bustle.. like you'd find in Chicago or NYC. My favorite is the Veggie Scramble. The Nutella French toast with berries is great, although I need to go for a run after that dish . Enjoy.

Gorgeous ambiance, great food & comfortable seating yet rather tight & seated in an awkwardly seated designed. Quite noisy & extremely congested with a "Port Authority" vibe. Dining in customers & to-go customers are all merged together. For the price, the service & seating should be more upscale. The food was great yet the Mimosa was a disappointment being served with flat champagne & hard orange juice. Perhaps that's how they serve their mimosas ‍

Lucky Charms Iced Latte Made with white chocolate sauce, pistachio syrup, matcha or espresso, milk, marshmallow whipped cream, marshmallows Nutella French Toast Topped with fresh fruit, powdered sugar, whipped cream, served with a side of maple syrup- added a scoop of chocolate gelato I absolutely love The Scene they're always spot on even when they're super busy- my favorite is the spiced brown sugar shaken espresso with cold foam and I tried something new today (veggie scramble) which comes with scrambled eggs with spinach, caramelized onions, peppers, goat cheese and served with toasted sourdough but I added avocado and turkey bacon to mine The last picture is nutella french toast with fresh fruit, powdered sugar, whipped cream, served with a side of maple syrup and an added scoop of chocolate gelato

This is the perfect Instagram-worthy restaurant to meet your friends at! It's an absolutely beautiful space and the food is picture worthy too. I visited on a weekday afternoon with a friend and found a table immediately. They have a QR code on the table that you scan and can place an order from. You can have one tab or multiple tabs open, which is great if you're with a group so each person can order and pay separately. I opted for the Salmon Salad, which had grilled salmon, mixed greens, carrots, red peppers, brown rice, avocado, pineapple, and cilantro with a citrus vinaigrette dressing. I also got the Almond Butter Me Up Toast, which was toasted sourdough bread topped with banana, strawberries, blueberries, coconut shavings, cinnamon and honey. For my drink, since they're known for coffee drinks, I got the iced caramel macchiato. Everything was fantastic! The salad was fresh and tasty, and the toast was delicious too. The coffee was also perfectly sweet. Highly recommend The Scene if you're looking for a great brunch spot with friends!

The food is delicious and fresh. The service was fantastic. The drinks were yummy. The restaurant was pretty packed at 10am for brunch but the heated patio area was nice.

Had a lovely lunch here with a friend. A staff person helped out immediately indicating we could choose our own table and view the menu & order directly through the QR code at each table. I had a little trouble accessing the QR code so they did give me a paper menu. Wonderful pastries at the front counter where you could also order directly from a cashier. *Important to note before you go that they do not take cash at all- you pay through the app with a credit or debit card.* The Champagne vending machine was a fun touch and the decor was modern and had a Miami vibe with a few couches and comfy chairs. Lots of groups, couples and singles - I didn't see any kids so I can't comment on how kid friendly they are but from the vibe I'm not sure it's a place I would bring a toddler. They do have a nice outside area that wasn't open the day I was there due to the weather. My friend had the delicious stuffed French toast and I had a delightful strawberry salad with an excellent latte. My friend enjoyed her mimosa with the champagne from the vending machine!

The Scene is hands down my favorite coffee spot in Albany! One thing that sets them apart (aside from their aesthetic and insta worthiness) is their unique latte art printer--something I've never come across before. Customizing your latte art is super easy and adds such a fun, personal touch to your coffee experience. The barista, who was incredibly kind and helpful, walked me through the process. She gave me a QR code to scan, which led to an app where I could create or upload my design. I used Canva to make mine and uploaded it directly to the app. Once you're done, you just let the barista know, and voilà! Your masterpiece is printed on your latte. The extra $1.75 for this feature is totally worth it, in my opinion. Highly recommend checking this place out for great coffee and a memorable experience!

Latte and butterfly matcha

First time here- lively on a Saturday. We had a latte, Butterfly matcha, two soups and an avocado toast. Everything was delicious! Salads coming by us looked large and tasty. I'm coming back! Service was also kind and attentive

The prices are reasonable and the service is amazing!! I went recently and had Rachel and Nash taking care of me and they were amazing. Rachel is so bubbly and radiates happiness! Their drink menu is pretty big, they are an "open" bar but the liquor they use is made locally so they only use one brand so in that way you are limited BUT the drinks are still delicious. I had the Lady's Limoncello which is featured in the little boomerang I posted. They do give you complementary trail mix (not sure what to call it - can also be seen in the background on the video) and I think that's amazing. They don't have a food menu so it's nice to have a little snack while you drink. I came from out of state and I would love to go back. Loved the experience and the staff! Also Rachel makes an amazing pina colada shot!!! It was my friend's birthday and she made us a couple of shots and they were so yummy!!

Mint - BBQ beef bulgogi and kimchi lettuce wraps

We made reservations but did not need them (it was a Wednesday) as the restaurant was only partially full. This place has a very warm and friendly decor. Fancy without being pretentious. As a Jazz fan I appreciated the playlist throughout the night. Our server Dennis came over and took our drink orders. I had the Manhatten which was really good - walnut liqueur, bourbon, orange peel and a cherry. My date had the martini which I tasted and was also pretty good. For appetizers we were going to get the fingerling potatoes w/ chickpeas but our server recommended the Korean lettuce wraps (we got them w/ mushrooms). These were pretty good but kind of messy for my liking - you put them together on your own and are provided with romaine lettuce, kimchi, pickled veggies, mushrooms/beef and a "spicy" sauce which I found lacking in much heat (I am a bit of a heat seeker). We also got the "warmed" spiced olives which were definitely a hit for me but not so much my girlfriend. For mains I had the "smoked" brisket en biere w/ cauliflower and gravy. The meat was super tender, well seasoned but I really don't think it was smoked - the texture was that of braised beef, not bbq. That being said, it was quite good along with the riced and roasted cauliflower. My girlfriend had the pasta dish w/ mushrooms. I tried a bite and thought it was OK - she thought it was a bit pricey ($29) for what it was, I agreed. We're not big desert people but Dennis mentioned the tiramisu and we're big fans so we ordered it and it might've been the best bite of the night, really enjoyed it especially the crumbled pistachios. Overall it was a really nice meal, service was attentive and quick and the food was overall pretty tasty. We will definitely be heading back.

The building itself is impressive, although maybe not quite as impressive as the castle-looking building next door. Our party of seven settled in at the bar as there otherwise did not seem to be a large enough table for all of us to gather around in either the main lounge area or a small room off to the side. The dark wood paneled walls, large fireplace, assortment of easy chairs, couches, and high desktop table gave off a feeling of warmth and welcoming. The friendly bartender introduced herself (sorry I've forgotten her name) and informed us that spirit-wise, the bar was capable of preparing the standard, traditional drinks like Manhattans, martinis, etc. All beers were poured from cans, and at my request, she recited the names of about six that were available. I don't believe anyone in our party inquired about the wines that were available. The building simply calls out for an explanation of its history. Upon our request, the bartender offered to provide either the "brief" or "full" option. We requested the full history. She was obviously well up to the task. You would be amazed at the variety of things you could learn here. Just to touch on a few key topics that were mentioned, consider Alexander Hamilton's wife, puffed rice, Bab-o cleanser (cue up the jingle), Bishop Gibbons, and an orthopedic surgeon. I don't know what the normal food arrangements are in the Lounge. I'm guessing that our out-of-town hosts requested some snacks for us as a few bowls appeared with mixed nuts, crackers and cheese, fresh grapes, humus, and warm pretzel/croissant rolls, and a plate of prosciutto wrapped cream cheese. Overall, the atmosphere here is simply friendly and inviting. I think it will become an occasional gathering place for our local friends when looking for a place that is quiet and relaxing.
