I've seen a lot of negative reviews about 110 grill and I just don't get it. Maybe we just hit the jackpot because the manager was taking care of us that night? He was really awesome... seated us near the open kitchen and was super attentive. The restaurant was pretty slammed for a Wednesday night so I think they were a little short staffed. He handled it like a serious pro. I even saw him jump into the kitchen a couple of times to throw on a pair of gloves and help the very calm, cool and collected trio of chefs. We started with the bang bang cauliflower, and it was delicious. My main dish was salmon with two sides of vegetables: broccoli and brussels sprouts. Everything was cooked perfectly. The cheeseburger and fries were enjoyed by my companion. I ate several of the fries....I can attest to the fact that they're quite good. One of the best things about this place is that they are very focused on dietary needs. Lots of choices for gluten-free or other restrictions. I would definitely eat here again. read more

She'd already been to several 110's in the Boston area and knew their separate gluten-free menu would easily accommodate her. Now that I've been to this one, I'm a fan, I like everything about them, from their drink selection, to their aesthetics to their menus. Service was fine, but the meals were what made me a satisfied customer, combined with the care taken to provide our group with a satisfying experience. Lunch on Saturday and the place was not busy, despite it being a rainy day. Despite this it took over an hour and a half to get a burger, fish tacos and a cup of soup. The food was lukewarm warm. We tried to get a booth but they said they were all reserved. We were placed at a table crammed into a corner next to a door that I later learned was to the bathroom. When I say crammed I mean that there were 3 inches between the chair and the door. When we pulled the table out a bit so we could, you know fit at the chair I was asked not to pull it out too far. They will overcook the rice, add cream and/or cheese, top it with butter, and add a strange apricotish compote with shrimp. The result is not a fresh, healthy meal, but heavy, fat-filled calorie bomb. This restaurant did ok with the mushroom ravioli on my last visit, but this risotto was an abject disappointment. So him and I make a quick run to Maggy Mcflyes but they never came to get our order in about 10 minutes. Sooooooo we went to 110 grill. Our waitress was super nice and made conversation and told jokes and really was good at connecting. I had a couple beers both were local and good. I placed a take out order over the phone because I couldn't find their gluten-free options online. I have only ever eaten at the restaurant which is one of my favorites for gluten-free options. I typically go to Latham, and if I attempt to do a take out order again, I will be sure to order from Latham. I was told when I placed the order it would be 20 to 25 minutes. I arrived 20 minutes later and was told it wasn't ready. I waited an additional 15 minutes. When I finally got the food, I went out to the car and opened it because I was starving, and much to my dismay, it was cold. I was very confused since I waited so long to get the food and supposedly it was brought out to me as soon as it was ready. If that were true, shouldn't it be piping hot? I immediately called and asked to speak with a manager. Apparently my phone call did not rate in importance because after being put on hold for several minutes, the person returned to tell me the manager was busy and would call me back when he had time. It has now been more than two hours and I have yet to receive a phone call. Sidenote... When I was in the restaurant, there were less than five people dining. Great mall spot. Average eatery. Great for what it is. I was a little underwhelmed in the decor and ambiance. It was reminiscent of a hotel bar and lounge. I really thought it would be larger and more decorated. The center bar seemed to be an attraction. it was packed with a large draft list, including local beer choices. They also had a long list of house cocktails that sounded delicious. It was lunch/dinner time, so i didn't want anything too heavy, but i was hungry. My dining partner didn't want any appetizers so I decided to try the french onion. It was very untraditional, not served in a crock, not bubbly, not melty. It was less than average. The taste was OK, but it was just a bowl full or shredded onion with a slice of swiss on top. skip it. The steak salad i ordered makes the 4 stars. it was so well balanced, rich, tasty and can i add - photogenic. it was a great meal. I have been a big fan of ordering salads lately and this did not disappoint. Maybe i would add a little avocado to it to perfect it, but man it was great. i would definitely order that again. My friend ordered the steak sub, one of her go to's, and she enjoyed it. also gave it a 4/5. Only recently opened, but it looks like they've got everything under control. Upon arrival we were asked if we needed to order from their gluten free menu - nice touch and forethought. We were seated in one of the booths between the bar and the open kitchen. The booths are large enough to hold three adults on each side, raised off the floor enough that a bar style foot rest is provided beneath the table, and the table is almost high enough to cover a person's breast. Our server was prompt in introducing herself to our table and explained that because she was super busy she was going to send another server over to take our drink order while she brought us some water. While that seemed strange to us, it did seem considerate and efficient. Certainly more efficient than the ten or more minutes it took for our beers to arrive from a bar that only had two customers sitting at it. It was nice to see that they support a good number of the local craft breweries. With that in mind my wife ordered a pint of Chatham's Farmer's Daughter ($5) while I had a pint of Brown's Oatmeal Stout ($6). Larger portion drafts are also available at a slightly higher cost. Being first time visitors, our server explained that everything is cooked to order. We decided to order just a couple of apps on this first visit. In our unending search for Nachos to replace our favorite that disappeared with the closure of a Latham brew pub almost ten years ago, we ordered the BBQ Chicken Nachos ($13.50). With a mix of both red and yellow corn chips, the kitchen did an admirable job of layering a blend of pulled chicken, cheddar, black beans, corn kernels, BBQ sauce, and ranch among the chips and then topping it all off with slices of banana peppers. A beautiful and tasty sight. Since they say they cook everything to order, I wonder if they could substitute the pulled pork from their sandwich for the pulled chicken! And speaking of the closed Latham brew pub, the 110 Grill's web site says they are coming to Latham in early 2019. Our other app was the Fig and Blue Cheese Flatbread ($12). It was another hearty serving. The flatbread was thin, as expected, had a good flavor, was not crispy like a cracker, but had enough structure to hold the crumble of blue cheese, caramelized onion, and baby arugula leaves. The blend of all the flavors with the fig jam and the balsamic reduction provided just enough sweetness set off by some acid. We look forward to returning here and trying some more substantial meals, unless the Latham location opens first. This northeastern chain holds a lot of promise. read more

I had the ability to try 110 Grill for both a friends & family lunch and dinner on opening night. For lunch, I tried the salmon burger then s'mores flatbread for the dessert. The salmon burger was cooked perfectly. The s'mores flatbread is a fun twist on a favorite. For dinner, I started with a raspberry lemonade sangria which was beautiful and tasty. For dinner, I had the bolognese which was a perfect balance of sauce and meat. There was also vegetables chopped in which I normally don't see in bolognese and makes me feel better about my meal of carbs. One of the other guests ordered the pulled pork Mac n cheese which I just had to get a picture of because it is plated so beautifully. She said it was delicious so I've added that to my list of items I can't wait to come back and try. I am not familiar with this chain and didn't know it was a chain when I chose it for lunch with my bff. We were indulging ourselves at the Spa Mirbeau in Crossgates Mall and wanted lunch at a restaurant that would have enough variety to satisfy our culinary whims. I adore the roasted beet salad so much so that I ripped it off and it is now a staple of my home repertoire. I changed out the candied walnuts for toasted pecans and dried cranberries and use skinny girl girl balsamic vinaigrette to lower the sugar content, but back to their version. The earthiness of the roasted beets with the sharpness of the arugula and goat cheese burst with wonderful flavor in each bite. The pickled onions add just the right amount of brightness to the salad. The day we were there one of the specials was a short rib sandwich. The short ribs were perfectly tender with a luscious flavorful sauce served on thick cut bread with just the right amount of cheese to compliment the ribs and not overpower them. I was disappointed with the Cajun yellowfin tuna, the portion was not big enough for such a delicious dish. Everything else ( fries, wings, drinks) was done well and the service was excellent. We were checked on several times during on the meal and found the staff to be very friendly. My companion was having trouble deciding on a wine choice and was delighted by the offer of a sampling to help her choose.
