Sausage Sub
Chris V.

Muddy's is local bikini bar. It is classy, clean, has good food and attracts a crowd of mostly regulars who are older and blue collar. The bikinis are usually very minimal but can vary - and there are times like trivia night that there are no bikinis. Don't be shy about calling ahead to inquire about the dress if thats why you're going (and you are). Service has been very friendly and capable when I've been there during the day shift, these have not been like the Tilted Kilt staff. The food is really very good for bar food and very plentiful. The garlic Parm wings may have been the best wings I have ever had - shatterlingly crispy. The Reuben was also excellent, sausage sub just pretty good. I'm always surprised that nobody has heard about Muddy's - it has been here forever and is a very unique and fun place. Well worth the trip for the occasional visit.

I ordered this as takeout and just had to take a couple of bites in the car before going home to try it nice and warm. This kind of sandwich is hard to find. A special roll needs to be used for this called a kimmelweck roll. A kimmelweck (or kummelweck) roll is a crunchy, Kaiser-type bread roll topped with coarse salt and aromatic caraway seeds, primarily known for defining the Buffalo, New York, "beef on weck" sandwich. Originating from 19th-century German immigrant traditions, they are usually filled with roast beef and soaked in au jus. The sandwich was loaded with juicy flavorful roast beef. The bun had caraway seeds and coarse salt all over the top of it which complimented the beef deliciously. It also had a horseradish sauce on the sandwich, so good. It was served with tasty fries and two little cups of au jus. I would definitely order this again.

Despite her being the only person up front, she warmly welcomed everyone and the service was great. I met a friend of mine who was craving wings so she ordered some hot wings and I got the Turkey Brie sandwich, which had turkey, brie cheese, apples and cranberry mayo on ciabatta bread with a side salad. The sandwich was delicious and piled high with turkey. My friend loved her wings too. Overall, the food was great as was the service. Definitely recommend!

The drinks came out quickly after we ordered them. The food took a decent amount longer. While we did wait 30 minutes for our food when it wasn't very busy , when it did come out it was hot and delicious. Flavorful wings, yummy disco fries/tots and some of the most well seasoned onion rings I've ever had. The atmosphere of the restaurant is classic pub food bar place but was well cleaned. Other than having to wait a little longer than usual for our food it was a great experience. We were so excited to eat by the time it came I did forget to take a photo of the food but it was all portioned well and well seasoned.

People kept telling me, " It's across the street from The Ruck. You know, The Ruck?" That was no help to me. I was unfamiliar with this tavern. To think that it's more famous than the county offices sparked my curiosity. So after I took care of my paperwork with the county I stopped in at The Ruck. I would describe it as a business and dive bar that makes craft beers. I made it in for lunch on a weekday. I took a seat at the bar. I was surprised to see the menu was quite extensive. There was a nice selection of soups. I ordered a cup of Greens and Beans along with 5 oz. of Fat Orange Cat Brew Chonky . I liked the beer. The soup was quite good, too. The man seated next to me was eating wings. He was raving about them. He said they were the best in town. I'll have to try them next time. Service is very good. The bartender was a good guy. Very nice and helpful. He said that on football game nights the bar is packed with Bills fans. Sounds like a lot of fun.

After checking Yelp for suggestions, Crescent Wrench popped up as a suggestion. A short time later we arrived at the Wrench. Upon entering the Barmaid/Waitress greeted us with a warm hello. My wife had the hamburger quesadilla and she loved it. Both were hot and very good. The Tavern isn't huge, but it is cozy and this is what I'd call a Home Town Tavern.

This restaurant housed Pam's pub and was probably taken on by new management in the last year or so. Overall the place is a perfect place if you like to watch football. The place was packed with football enthusiasts watching the game, drinking beer, refilling popcorn and screaming as their team scores or messes up. This is a true American joint with typical American food. Wings were decent, quesadilla, macaroni salad and fries were great. I'm yet to eat the wrap as I was stuffed and had to bring it home. Overall a great place that's tucked away in a strip mall. Most of the seating is on bar stools with swivel chairs that actually gets you a better view of different games.

This is not the case here - all of the food we had was made in house, and you could taste the difference. The beer battered fries had a thin flaky coating that made them irresistible. The buffalo calamari was cooked perfectly, piled up, and topped with blue cheese crumbles and green onion. Don't even get us started on the boneless wings... also, the ranch and blue cheese dip were out of this world. Guess what? HOME MADE. We came here to watch a Sabres game, since we heard there were a ton of TVs to watch the games. And we ended up being surprised with a fantastic dinner and great service. What a great night.

Honestly, they had a ton of potential, but they didn't deliver. The calamari was soggy instead of crispy. The balance of other items was pretty off. It looked pretty, but didn't taste good. The calamari was bitter in addition to being soggy. The balsamic glaze added a sweetness, but it wasn't offset by enough salty/spicy. It was served with a tomato sauce that didn't go well with the toppings. It was an odd dish. If it wasn't so late, I might have actually sent it back (which I do probably once every 10 years). Fresher, crispy and less bitter calamari might have been enough to fix the balance. My dinner companion had a sandwich with a bun, lettuce, apple slice, fried chicken, cheese, and bacon. I think it might have been a special. It was ok. It came with Saratoga chips, which is why we picked the restaurant. We wanted to get Saratoga chips in Saratoga. Unfortunately, they were hard and cold and bland. Lots of TVs. Service was meh. I felt like they were put out for serving us. There's a good bar vibe. If I were to eat there again, I would go for beer and wings.

That was the first issue. There was one cook and one bartender / server working. They could not accommodate us. We were at multiple tables and after about an 90 minutes some food drifted out. Some tables didn't get anything for 2 hours - not even water. Some tables had to re-order because order were confused or misplaced. Some students didn't get what they ordered. I would have walked but some people did have food so we were essentially stuck there. No apology. No discount. Oh - and the food after the 2+ hours of waiting was gross. More than 50% of what we ordered / paid for was left on the table. For example, 'nachos grande' were made with cold doritos and what tasted like cheeze wiz (and it took 2 hours to get them). I ordered an iced tea and requested it (reminded the server) 4x in 2 hours before I got it. My gross food was on the table before I even had water. I complained to the restaurant and to the hotel front desk who made the recommendation.
