Oh wow, this location is huge, and what's even bigger is the Apple Fritter. The girl behind the counter even joked about its size. But I guess when you can make good donuts, why not go big? But I didn't get the apple fritter this time. I tried the maple doughnut, which was soft and flaky. The caramel on top was really warm, making for an even delicious doughnut. I did try their new coffee drink, the Salted Caramel Frappe. It had a lot more chocolate taste than a coffee taste. It wasn't bad, but not the best. I would purchase it again. Sometimes you have to try twice. But I stopped by today and was hoping to get an apple fritter and another new drink, the Frozen Strawberry, but they were closed. Got a box of ~18 assorted donuts and pastries for $6 using the Too Good To Go app. For the amount of food you get, that's great value, and the pickup was fast and easy. However, I would only come back for the cinnamon twist (the one that looks like a glazed twisted donut). read more

I heard so many good things about Shipley before we came, and I had a huge craving for donuts. It's also conveniently located next to my favorite bubble tea shop in Austin! My boyfriend picked up an entire dozen donuts, donut holes, and kolaches. I really enjoyed the donuts and donut holes. They're soft and are even pretty good after 2 days, which can't be said about other donut shops. However, the kolaches were just alright. They had a bit too much dough so I had to take more than two bites to get to the sausage, but that's okay! Overall, this is a pretty good donut shop. I definitely recommend, but I wouldn't encourage buying as much as we did. We felt a bit sick to our stomachs because we each had so many donuts at once. read more

I really liked these donuts. The Boston cream donut was wonderful. I will try the kolache in the future and I got a long John's donut to go. You could not ask for more helpful employees especially the female. She gave me a bunch of suggestions which I I used. I went to the location on Parmer Road. Is this location under new management? When I went here a year ago the donuts and kolaches were fresh and the dough was fluffy like Shipleys is supposed to be. I was just here March 2022 and the donuts didn't just taste old they had an entirely different texture like the recipe was different and more generic. There also used to be a wonderful joyous woman who worked the counter and I'm not sure she's still there I haven't seen her. read more

I was super happy that they opened a location next to my place. I went on Sunday morning and was able to get helped, right when I walked in. I ordered a half dozen donuts. Some of my favorite donuts there are the strawberry sprinkle donut, iced glaze strawberry donut, maple donut, and blueberry cake donut. I also ordered a couple of Kolaches, they have a good sausage/cheese/jalapeño kolache and I also like the bacon/cheese/potato kolache. The prices are pretty reasonable and have they tons of donuts and kolaches to choose from. The service is always great and they have plenty of parking! read more

This location is new and clean. Stopped in at about 6:30am on a Friday and received prompt friendly service. Got a mixed dozen for my coworkers and a sausage cheese kolache for myself. The donuts we're good, classic Shipley's quality. The kolache was piping hot, but it wasn't very plump or fluffy, more of a pinner pig in a blanket semblance. I'm pretty sure I ordered one with jalapeño, but the one I got was just a wiener and cheese. Giving them the benefit of the doubt on my order. We were thrilled to see a new donut shop open near our home and couldn't wait to give them a try as options close by are not the best. I'm pretty particular about donuts and to be honest still think all of the donuts in my home town are pretty superior to anything I've found in Texas BUT Shipley was pretty dang good. We popped by relatively late on a Sunday, I think around 11 and they were definitely sold down (as expected) but in total we got 4 unique donuts to try. I got the cherry which was not my favorite, it was fine but Texans just don't know how to make a Cherry donut so I'm not holding it against them, I'm sure most people would love it. My other donut was the chocolate iced twist and it was GREAT. The dough was soft, not too much icing but the perfect amount. Logistically speaking there was plenty of parking, they even have reserved spots for order pick up. The space itself was very open, bright, and clean. We'll be back! read more

I pull up and the sign gives a website to go to in order to place an order. I go to the website but can't actually place an order for this location do I call the number listed. The lady who answers was very sweet and asked that I text the same number I called to place an order, so I did. I've been sitting here for 15 minutes waiting on my order. I call again. She says we don't have online orders. I said I understand I sent it via text per your request, she comes out to ask in person what's happening so I tell her again. She grabs a phone and reads the order to me, which I confirm is accurate. She goes inside to get the order coming out several minutes later with an incomplete order. I let her and the manager know that 20 minutes for what should be a 2 minute transaction is crazy. They were less than interested. The food... stale. Old. Dry. read more

The Shipley's in my home town always had the freshest, tastiest donuts. I decided to try this one for the first time today and I am so sad to see how corporate this chain has become. :( nothing traditional or welcoming about the inside, the store employees aren't friendly and didn't even greet customers, and all of the donuts are doughy and subpar. The bread on the kolaches is stale at 8am? :( and the prices are insanely high! I'm going to continue on my search for a more traditional donut shop. This is just not the place to go. Sucks I spent $30 here for two people to have some donuts. read more

Oh nooo!!! Shipleys is what I grew up on. It's what I had every Saturday morning while watching cartoons. I was so excited to try this new shipleys that opened up so close to my job! I was very disappointed in their donut holes :(.... they didn't even look like donut holes!! Idk if shipleys changed their recipe or what but these tasted like grease and sugar.... I hate being able to taste the grease that the donuts were fried in :(. So so disappointed, I was looking forward to them.... that being said, this shipleys is very spacious and modern on the inside. We were excited to try this location a few weeks ago around 10:30 am. All three staff seemed confused about what they were doing and distant (I.e. no greeting, smiles, thanks to customers). I swear one was the guy in charge. The donuts were cold, thick and had little icing. The kolaches were tasty but small (mostly bread). There's plenty of seating and the place is new so super clean. Shipley's was not as awesome as it seemed to be when We were kids. There are much better places and service within a mile. read more
