Everything was great and the guy working was super nice. He offered to heat up everything we ordered before we left so the food was warm when we got to our meeting. $9 for a dozen! We stopped by here to get something sweets for my meeting. Upon arrival, staff greeted us with friendliest smiles. I told him I am bringing this as a gift and make it pretty. He chose a couple dozens of pretty looking donuts and nicely placed on boxes. Since we purchased two dozens, he gave us one donuts for free to try. We split one and it was good. Small donut shop off Howard and Harris Ridge in the strip mall with the gas station. Their donuts are so much softer and higher quality than their corporate franchise competitors. It's a personal business and you can tell they bake with a lot of heart. No wait, they are quick to serve and customer oriented. They are open Mon to Sat 5am - 2pm and Sun 6am - 2pm. They have Kolaches, donuts, donut holes, and breakfast sandwiches. Price is 1/4 what you pay at the big shops. You can't go wrong! read more

I don't know what or how they make these, but the breading on their sausage kolache is soooo soft and pillowy (like a soft dinner roll). So my original review still holds true to a point. However, I had to meet a friend at the Mexican place next door, so I thought I'd pop in to see if they had any donuts. Yippee!!! They did! Not a huge quantity, but a wide selection of one of each of at least 15 different varieties. I grabbed my two favorites - white frosted coconut & white frosted sprinkles. It was Mother's Day, so they also gave me a glazed donut for free. I ate that one in the car. It was yummy! I have to say the taste is better than most donut places. These are not overly sweet - even with the white frosting. These are quite delicious. The only reason I don't give full stars is because with 3 hours left in their day, the selection has been quite sparse on my visits. read more

First time coming here and was very pleased! The service is friendly and fast and the prices are very reasonable! I got two things: a strawberry cream cheese filled pastry and a strawberry iced fruity cereal donut. The strawberry cream cheese filled pastry was okay, I thought there was a lot of bread and not enough of that delicious filling. It tasted better warmed up, but I wouldn't get this one again. The strawberry iced fruity cereal donut was the star. The dough was so light and fluffy and the cereal added a nice crunch! And at 70 cents each I'll be back to try the other varieties for sure! I appreciated how neither of the donuts were overly sweet! The sweetness level was just perfect. I will be trying their kolaches next! Update: I tried the ham & cheese kolache as well as the apple fritter and both were awesome! The apple fritter was one of the best I've had! read more

I still stand by my 5 star review. I was driving to work this morning (I know.... my company doesn't close even for the Winter Storm of 2018) and saw that their open sign was on. I've been dieting..... but it's freezing and I had to work so I think I was worthy of a donut. I was happily greeted by the owner of the shop. I was so amazed that he was open! He said yes yes we are open. I was also greeted by an amazing array of donuts and kolaches and coffee and croissants. They had everything. That is dedication! Dedication to your customers even when you know that it could be slow due to the storm. They were fully stocked! I grabbed half a dozen donuts for myself and colleagues and a sausage kolache, which he warmed up for me. The owner is always so kind and remembers everyone that comes in! He is one of the reasons I return to Donut Empire (besides the AMAZING donuts). Shop and support local business, y'all!!! And let me tell you about these donuts. They will give Dunkin and Krispy Kreme a run for their darn money. Their glazed donuts are better (AND FRESHER) than DD & KK. That's saying a lot from me because I LOVE Dunkin Donuts. read more

I figured 9 am is still early, but apparently not worth restocking for them at this point. I settled on a strawberry glazed with sprinkles (there were only 2 left), blueberry cake, and raspberry filled. I got one jalapeño sausage kolache and one sausage kolache. The donuts were actually very tasty! The dough was moist and a good amount of sweetness. The blueberry cake was probably my favorite. The kolaches were only okay. Like many donut places, the bread to sausage ratio is never right-they skimp on the sausage and it's much more breading. I'd definitely get the sausage jalapeño one again, it had the perfect kick of spiciness to it. Overall, not a bad option for donuts, but wish they had a better selection. I took a drive this morning to find some decent coffee this morning and found Donut Empire. This is my new spot! The coffee wasn't burnt instant junk and the cake donut was fresh and moist like it should be. The cherry on the top was how beautifully kind and helpful the people there are. The total opposite of that other place. Stop here on your way into the city and your morning will start out right! Would give ten stars if I could. read more

This place just opened yesterday. The owner was happily handing out flyers last week and seemed very excited, so I thought I'd support his new local business and check it out. I bought a few things... -Sausage, egg, and cheese on a croissant... it was good. As you would expect. Not tiny and well priced. -Burrito with potato, egg, and cheese... as you would expect. I could have used a little mild/hot sauce. I'll have to ask if they have it next time. If they don't, I'll let them know they should. -Donuts! I bought these for my coworkers, but I had to have the vanilla with fruity pebbles on top. Yes, fruity pebbles. It was great. My coworkers liked the donuts as well. I'm not a big donut person, so I can't really compare to many other places, but I liked them. The owner and lady working were very friendly. Been pumping gas at Chevron and seeing the sign "Coming Soon" for so many weeks already! But when I saw the sign "Open now" yesterday, I knew I had to give it a try. I ordered the jalapeño & cheese sausage croissants this morning. They tasted great! I'd love it more if they add more jalapeños to it though, but the croissant texture was right, and the sausage tasted good.
